Camp Tel Yehudah. It was fun. I learned how to play basketball really well. I recomend it for anyone who is going into 9th and 10th grades.

Okay, I know I've said I love my Jew Camp but... We're having a Live Chat right now for the Counselors in Training and it is awesomely awesome. And on May 22nd I get to spend the afternoon at our pre-camp retreat. And there are only like 50 days until I'm at camp! Yippee!

Unfortunately, they only do it until first session starts, so I have to tack on like four more weeks.

And Pinemere has that kind of countdown too, but since CITs come the Wednesday before, I have to use Jeri's Xanga.

I went to Camp Kadimah for 9 years. It's in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I loved it! It was the best time of my life.

Ahem. I saw people from Jew Camp yesterday! Ohmygod it was awesome! A little weird at first, but so awesome. 19 of the 34 CITs of '05 made it, plus two of our three staff. And we got Pinemere bracelets! Like the Livestrongs and stuff? But they say Pinemere! And I'm so wearing it every day forever!

Camp JORI (www.campjori.com) - JORI stands for [Formerly] the Jewish Orphanage of Rhode Island. Located in Narragansett, RI until a few years ago until we relocated to a much more beautiful campus in Wakefield, RI. I have gone there for seven years in a row, and this summer, my eighth, I will be a counselor. !!! Yay! ^^ It's not Orthodox, more like Reform-Conservative. The emphasis isn't on religion - we keep kosher and have services every Friday, etc, etc, but really, it's a recreational camp - sports, arts and crafts, fun activities. I've had a blast there every year. There is a definite familial feeling there...everyone's so nice and loving! ^^
It would be awesome to find other JORI kids here, though I doubt it. Most of the kids who go there are from the area (southern New England), however, in recent years we've been hiring a copious amount of Israelis for the staff - eight this year! (Two are always security guards XD) Last year there were five. Also, there are people from all around the world! I knew a couple of girls from England, and there were (are? don't know if they're returning) a couple of Spanish counselors from Barcelona. And, we have campers from across the States too... ^^ but mostly New Englanders.
