I'm so glad Rose is leaving! She's not a bad companion but the whole romantic thing that everyone seems to have created just gets on my nerves. It'll be so great to finally have it restricted to the fanfics.

Hairy Priest Roobarb I bet it will be a girl too. Even though I want a robot alien male. Possibly in some sort of medievil jester's costume. whee  How abot a robot alien male playing the lute? I hope they give us at least one episode of the Doctor without any companion. All they do is scream, twist their ankles, and get captured anyway! That would be great

Twisted Davros Perhaps they'll decide to break the trend and have the Doctor travel without a female companion for once. They did that once, in Deadly Assassin. It rocked! Of course it was a Gallifrey-based story, so I probably would have loved it even if the Doctor brought another one of his annoying tag-alongs... The Sun claims to know who the next companion is. Hm. I've never seen her act... so I don't know if she would be a good replacement or anything. But, after all, it is The Sun, and they tend to be more rumors than anything else. Atleast from what I've seen. I still wish it was a guy companion... although it would still spark various slash fics, there wouldn't be as many ship fics another female companion would ignite.

I'm not certain if the person mentioned in the article will be Billie's replacement, this may be either speculation by the Sun, false information being planted by the BBC, or someone having a bit of fun messing with our heads.
However, it is certain that the person in question will be appearing in the show this season. There was a very brief clip of the character in the 3-minute BBCi trailer that aired just prior to New Earth airing. At the time I assumed it was a deleted scene from an earlier story...

That's right! Because she's going around asking for her friend in that plastic... place, and we see Cybermen! I thought it must have been a deleted scene, too. Guess we were wrong. ^^

Gawd. I've given up trying to avoid spoilers. I'd have to cut myself off from the internet, and at this point it might actually be easier to cut off a limb. Sepik really wish she was staying as a main character, but atleast this will FINALLY shut up all the damn Doc/Rose shippers. You can't have a ship if she's dead. I read that, and I thought something really wrong. sweatdrop I doubt she'll die. Only a couple of companions have done that, and Ten's got enough angst without this too. Near-death experience maybe? And she realizes that she had to go back home for the sake of the people who were left behind. If I were writing this (and, God willing, one day I will be blaugh ) I would have the Doctor do something really unnecessarily stupid and dangerous to save Rose from some danger, and then Rose decides that she has to leave him for his own good. Sepik I really really want it to be Jack who is the new companion. I doubt it, since John Barrowman is attached to Torchwood. Maybe temporarily?

I was being vague to avoid spoiling the finale, but since the title of this thread does say "HUGE spoiler" in it, I guess we can assume that anybody reading doesn't really mind being spoiled, otherwise they wouldn't have come here in the first place! But she can't die!!!!!!! I've grow to like her!!!! ARGH.....I was watching NR yesterday and there was this bit about teh last episode, but they didn't say how Rose was leaving, and I was like 'OMG SHE MIGHT DIE' and I never thought taht woud actually happen!!!!!!!! *crys*
