Dark N True, true. The reason I opted for an iPod, was because I like the Click Wheel and I knew how to use the software, so figuring things out would be easy for me. Of course, it turns out that my computer is too old for iTunes, so I've had to upload music to my iPod from other people's computers. Which kind of sucks. There are really two main reasons why I don't like my iPod as much as I thought I would: Less than stellar sound quality, and crappy battery life. Even when I charge it for the full time, it never gets 8 hours of battery life, as it is supposed to.
I'm just saying, there are other models of MP3 players with better sound quality, more capacity, and better battery life on the market for the same price as a mini or less. They may not be quite as user-friendly, but in the end, it's most likely worth sacrificing the fact that you would have the most popular player on the market, for features that will satisfy you more. Well the iPod Minis suck. For about $50 more you could have gotten around 10 more gigs of space. I personally love my iPod, due to my issues with compulsively buying CDs and then not being able to leave home without any of them. The iPod lets me listen to what I want without the burden of a small suitcase to carry all my crap in.

The worst thing though is having to upload my music at my friend's/cousin's houses. It makes me feel like I'm using them. surprised

And you can buy songs if you don't want the whole CD. I love that. I used to buy cds for one song (not GD of course!) and now I just pay a dollar and I can get whatever I wish! ^^

(probably because my mention of the iPod shuffle started all of this...) I like my iPod mini, but there's no room on it anymore and I stil need to put on all of my Zeppelin and Radiohead and Clash, so I'm rather annoyed at the lack of space it has. BUT I HATE the fact that on the back of the normal iPod it has a freaking mirror. And the overall size of it, it's too big for me. not the amount of songs it can hold, but the shape and stuff. At least with the iPod mini you can have different colours... I like the fat that I don't have to carry 200+ CD's with me; all I have to carry around is a laptop and an iPod when I travel and I can mix and match different CD's on my iPod whenever.

I chose space over appearance and got the 20G iPod. I just like being able to put everything on it becuase I'm oneof those people who will take 20 CDs with her, and then realize that she really wants to listen to one she left behind. Now I don't have to worry about that. So yay.

Aww, I missed TRL. I knew they were supposed to be on it, but I was too lazy to find out when and watch it for once. It sounds awesome. I hope I can see it sometime. (Internet videos usually hate me, so...I hope it works.)
As for mp3 players, I like mine. I have a Creative: Nomad MuVo (or something) It's 4G...so it's not very big. xp I want a bigger one. cry

I love mine too, but it seems like it's crapping out way too soon. I don't think the battery is holding up at all anymore, and I just got it for Christmas. Until I get a new computer (Since my parents are too cheap at the moment. "WE JUST PAID OUR TAXES!" You know what else you just did? YOU JUST BOUGHT AN 'EFFING BOAT.), I'm stuck mooching off of other people when I get new CDs. Or resorting back to my old crap-a** CD Player that's never worked right since the day I got it. *Sigh*

It's getting worse and worse (which is all natural for rechargeable batteries, but extremely anoying), and I miss being able to just carry spare batteries and plug them in when necessary. But for what it's worth, I'd still take the iPod over the CD player.
