miss_merry_christmas Yogi D. Bear Ushi Waka-Laka Yogi D. Bear All of you people who hate 4kids only hate it because you are used to the japanese version. I for one would rather watch and enjoy than have to read all the dialog. Although blood and most cursing is taken out, that doesn't really affect One Piece. One Piece has alot of things better than just blood and bad words XD. If you took the time to watch and accept 4kids version you might like it more. I am up to date with both japanese and english versions of the anime. I am up to the defeat of CP9 in Jap and Crocodile in English and to tell you all the truth I like english way better. It has more feeling, in the Japanese version I couldn't even tell that Shanks was always happy and I couldn't tell that Sanji had a great voice. My opinion is watch One Piece in English! I would kindly ask not to be flamed for this. ...........I like Sanjis voice better in japanese neutral You can't even understand the words that are coming out of his mouth. mad
Even if you can't understand Japanese, you can still tell that the original voice suits better. I love Hiroaki Hirata's voice (the japanese voice actor), he does an awesome job portraying Sanji.he sounds like a woman. Also that dub voice adds more to his tuff guy personality.

Yogi D. Bear he sounds like a woman. Also that dub voice adds more to his tuff guy personality. ...his voice is pretty low, dude. Also, you can sound like a tough guy without sounding like you have two enormous, near-rupturing tumors in your nostrils.

I have to say the 4 kids version introduced it to me first and then I stated watching the jap ones on youtube. Jap is fully detailed. They skiped heaps in 4 kids, especially the one in between the barouqe works saga and the rainbow mist saga. The they cuts of the rest that is Skypiea Saga onwards.

In 4Kids, they add horrible, HORRIBLE puns! Some I can live with... Sorta.....
But a villain like Crocodile won't say "doo-doo". Ever.

the dub causes so much pain, this show actually made me cry. i started crying when i heard the voices and saw smoker. poor guy....this show even makes me feel bad for crocodile who i greatly dislike...... crying

Good Thing they dropped it. Now Funimation is dubbing it and will start at where 4Kids left off. The Alabasta Arc.

D= I love everyone's voice in the Japanese version, and even if you didn't have a clue of what they were saying, you could learn it as they go along. sheesh...
