The woman nodded,
"Sure. Go ahead," she smiled, then winked, "Though, I think they're cute. But it's a good thing I got dressed a bit before I broke that plate or I'd be in a similar situation."

She flicked her pigtails back behind her ears and then smiled,
"Come back anytime, okay? I mean, if you want to you can come back 'soon as you get dressed, but I'll understand completely if you don't. Thanks for the broom, by the way."

She went over to grab it for him, and held it out,
"And the conversation. You're sweet. I hope whatever animal you're turning into doesn't change that, at least."

"Heh, you have smiley-face boxer shorts too?" he chortled, hopping down from the counter.

"Well, I usually go out for a morning run every day. You're welcome to join me - well...a morning walk if you're feeling upto it," he offered bashfully.

Oz had never been all that good at being sensitive about a subject. He tended to slip up. A lot. He was the kind of guy who was chivalrous without realising it, but completely dense when it came to sensitive subjects. A bit of an embarrassment at social parties with his family, needless to say.

She laughed. Even if the subject was sensitive, his jovial manner made it impossible to get offended or even really upset. She shook her head,
"Well, not any smiley face ones, no. But I usually don't wear that much when I sleep anyhow," She teased.

Aislinn pondered his suggestion a minute,
"Well, I can't say I wouldn't enjoy joining you. But, I don't want to put a damper in your routine since I can't run. Maybe you could do your jog and then we'll go for a walk afterwards?" She suggested. That seemed like a good enough compromise-- and she was usually better at managing the cane after a good morning shower anyhow.

"Maybe we can head down to the beach. Probably have it to ourselves this early."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Oz agreed. He was a very laid-back, amiable sort and not one to stick so stringently to plans or itineraries. Again, many embarrassing moments for his family there.

He gingerly picked up the broom and dust-pan and wandered over to the doorway.

"I won't be gone long, I'll knock on your door when I get back," he said cheerfully, saluting Aislinn using the end of his broom. With a swagger typical of bulky men, he disappeared back into his duplex to get changed and ready for his morning jog.

"I'll be about," she replied, waiting until he had exited and shutting the door. She quickly went to her room and changed into something a little less 'just woke up' and a little more 'look I'm cute'. Or at least, something cuter than an oversized t-shirt.

Then, she went about cleaning up her apartment. The shattered dish had reminded her that it was about time for a good cleaning.

Nearly an hour and several bottles of water later, Oz felt wide awake and a little more limber. As soon as he stepped into his duplex, he threw his jogging suit to one side and quickly showered. Then came a rather embarrassing fumble for clothing in the nude as the bulky man had to toss aside his dirty laundry and sort out the still wearable from the 'God, get it cleaned.' Thank the lord that Aislinn couldn't see through walls. Although Oz got the impression that she wouldn't have minded all that much.

After a quick shave and squirt of the deodorant, Oz locked his duplex and knocked on Aislinn's door. He scratched idly at his arms, which had felt extra sensitive for a few days now.

Aislinn had just finished straightening up a bit when the knock came. About as quickly as she was capable of, she made her way to the door,
"Who's there?" she asked. She figured it was probably Oz-- she didn't really know most of the Islanders well enough for them to pay a random visit just yet, but it never hurt to ask.

"Its your knight in shining armour, come to whisk you away on an adventure," he said almost musically through the door, and with that charming British wit.

Oz chuckled to himself, lightly fingering the pockets on his jeans. His family had suspected he might have had ADD, but Oz just had to be kept busy.

Ais laughed,
"Well, if you're going to be -that- way about it," she teased, opening the door for him,
"Just as long as there aren't any horses involved."

She smiled. He certainly did look much different now that he'd had a chance to...well, get dressed and all that jazz. Still, the morning boxers look had been cute too.

She tilted her head,
"Just give me a minute to get some proper shoes on and we'll be off," she assured him and went over to grab the rainbow-shoelaced boots she preferred.

"Nah, no horses. Just 100% British Oz-back," he said with a smile, watching as she laced up those unique boots.

"I ran into that Josh fella on my jog, and lemme tell you now, its freaky walking under the legs of a giraffe guy," he laughed. He'd always wanted to run with animals, and Josh was probably the closest he'd get to the African savannah.

He continued to scratch at his bare arms, and even his back itched underneath his pale blue t-shirt. He thought it might be heat rash, since it was a warm morning and all.

Aislinn blinked, watching the British man's actions carefully as she finished with her shoes,
"Are you all right? Maybe you're getting poison ivy or something," she suggested, motioning to the itching movements he was making,
"I have some oatmeal I can make a past out of to relieve it if nothing else...but maybe we could see if someone else has Calamine lotion or something?"

She wasn't sure how much of this he'd understand-- the barriers between the British and American cultures reached into areas she never imagined them to-- but she was pretty sure they had poison ivy in England just as they did in the U.S.

"Hmmm? Oh," he said, finally realising just how much he'd been scratching at his arms. They were red raw. "I don't think its poison ivy, but there's that many friggin plants on this place that I've never seen before, it could be anything."

He forced his arms down to his sides now, but the itching continued, even after nearly drawing blood. Thank god his nails weren't very sharp.

"I'll be fine," he said with a smile, shrugging it off. "You better be ready for this walk, while the mist is still about."

She grinned,
"Oh, I'm ready. Sure you're not tired after your jog?" she teased, stretching out a bit before reaching out for the cane and hobbling over to him,
"You're sure you're okay, though?"

His arms looked pretty red. She was certain they needed some sort of lotion,
"Maybe just a regular lotion, and it's just dry skin?"

"Will you quit worrying," he said with a slight chuckle. "You're beginning to sound like my mom. I'll be fine. I'm as strong as a bull."

With that statement, he took a deep breath to inflate his chest, and playfully beat his chest with his fists. Little did he realise that would be part of his new habits later in life on the Island.

"Now come on, or it'll be high noon before we get anywhere."

Aislinn laughed,
"Allright, allright," she put her hands up, "I can see when I've been defeated."

She stretched her arms a moment, then took up her cane and started out the door. Her pace was significantly slower, of course, than that of most people, but not as slow as, say, an old lady with a walker, and she took some small amount of pride in that.
