Sax Jokes ( blaugh ):
~You might notice that there are very few jokes about the clarinet. This is out of sympathy. The clarinet has already been the butt of so many jokes - the saxophone, for instance.
How many alto sax players does it take to change a lightbulb?
Five. One to change the bulb and four to contemplate how David Sanborn would have done it.
~What's the difference between a saxophone and a lawn mower?
Lawn mowers sound better in small ensemles.

Trace Keryn Jesse_Klein Nia-chan I play alto saxophone in marching band currently. I play tenor saxophone in Jazz band. And I have a metal mouthpiece for each. really? So do i blaugh My fluter has one, my clarinet has one, and so does my sax but i dont think i can put one on my pianop or cello blaugh Aye, but I have a space between my front teeth blaugh My parents just bought me an alto this summer, I've been renting for 2 years so they figured it'd be cheaper. So no tooth marks yet (did have a problem getting the neck in one class recently- right before a test gonk ) I'd just like to say welcome to all the new people, including me, and heyo to the old people, not that I'm saying you're old, just that... oh forget it ninja Mmmmm... reed...

Okie..Here goes. I play alto in my spare time, and in pep band I'm playing tenor. Last year I played bari. 3nodding Soprano sounds like fun to play. Though I don't think our school has one. whee Oh well, I'm needed on tenor for now. (There's a girl playing bari this year, and the instrument's about as tall as she is. eek But she's really good.)

The Last Remaining Light band right now is seriously my life... Same. xd I was looking over some of my jazz band music the other day, and one of my friends was like, "You DO realize you have a life outside of band, don't you?" and I was like, "No I don't." ^^;; Mwa. We're playing concert music tomorrow, which means I have to play my flute. >.< I like sitting with the saxes! *pouts*

I play the Alto Saxophone.
My friend Emma and I this year got permission from our two music teachers to start a saxophone ensemble in our school for grade 9s and 10s (wouldn't work with 11s and 12s because it would too wide a range of skills) so we now have a saxophone ensemble ^_^
And guess what...we get to think of a name xd All the little puns came out...Saxual Innuendos, Sax Appeal, Saxual Harassment...
Hehe..gotta love the saxophone!
Anyone have any ideas on a name, let me know..I need more ideas...

I got a new sax on Friday! ^^ I've been using the school's crappy Conn (which is probably older than I am) for a year now. My new one isn't anything special (it's just a standard Yamaha tenor), but it's beautiful and shiny and brand-new and I love it to death. ^^ My baby.

Miangel I got a new sax on Friday! ^^ I've been using the school's crappy Conn (which is probably older than I am) for a year now. My new one isn't anything special (it's just a standard Yamaha tenor), but it's beautiful and shiny and brand-new and I love it to death. ^^ My baby. My octave key on my sax broke off last week and I have to use the school's Conn unitl mine is fixed. I HATE Conns.

Yeah, I've been having problems wiht my octave key for a few years now, but I've always been able to just tap it back in place and it'll work. But right in the middle of Jazz band, it just popped off. *sigh* oh well I should have it back this week. I've got a Yamaha too. It's new, just got it Friday. And yeah, it's a lot better than the Conn. I know a girl who goes to a pretty prestigious arts college, and she plays a Yamaha sax. She's friggin' awesome, too. Best tenor player the school's ever seen. In any case, I hope for a fast recovery for your sax so that you don't have to play that Conn anymore. >.<

My saxophone is actually a Conn. Aheh? It's one of the good ones though, as it is a really good saxophone, I prefer it to the Yamaha's that I've used at school.
I've been looking at a Selmer, but it's too expensive for me right now. The one I want is around 4000 dollars.
