((Yeah... Somethign like that would happen. Diglett is half ground though... that works right? I never really payed much attention to types of attacks. I mean I knew and do know but I just really know which ones do a lot of damage. Aurora Beam, which shall now be called A Beam does a lot of damage to pretty much everything it touches. Not as much as Ice Beam, which I love with a passion, but still a lot. So I am happy. Besides, this battle isn't really a question of who will win. I mean Shiva knows Surf, in my opinion the most powerful water attack in all the games. I shall have fun surfing... Though I am not sure how exactly it works when there is no water around but meh.))

((Actually, Diglett is just a Ground Type, but not that it matters anymore seeing as the A Beam would've KO'd it regardless. And I've always imagined Surf to be like the Pokemon summons a wave of water to engulf enemies, so it would come out of nowhere. And I guess it would be somewhat controlled seeing as you don't want to wash away the entire gym and the people in it lol ))

Both Pokemon just stared at Keegan as they waited for him to finish his thought. The trainer just smiled, bending down to pat both of them. "If there's nobody around who wants to battle, why don't you guys practice with each other?" he suggested finally. "Vulpix, you could get the hang of dodging Electrike's Tackles, and Electrike, you could learn to dodge Vulpix's Ember attack. He knew Heat Wave would be next to impossible to avoid, seeing as the wide area it covered.
The Pokemon confrenced with each other before deciding it would be okay. They were friends after all, and there'd be no hard feelings after the training.
"Okay guys, just take turns attacking and dodging," he said. "I'm going to see if I can work with Ekans for a bit." He released the snake Pokemon, who blinked and looked around eagerly. Seeing as there wasn't any immediate figthing happening, it coiled up, just its head poking out of the mass of its coiled body.

Keegan blinked at the Ekans, not really sure what to say to him. He eyed the boy curiously, his tongue occaisionally flicking out to taste the air. He could sense the boy wasn't afraid of him, but meant no harm either.
"I, uh, err, it's nice to meet you," Keegan said, smiling at the Pokemon.
"Ekansssss..." it hissed, lifting its head out of its coils.
"That Poison Sting of yours is something," Keegan went on, bending down so he was eye level with his Pokemon. "I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other from now on, so I hope we can all be friends."
"Kanssss." Ekans pondered a moment before nodding his head, or at least what looked like a nod. It leaned to the side to peer around Keegan and watch Electrike and Vulpix 'training'. Their training session had already devolved into their favourite game, a mix of Tag and Hide and Seek. The two were running aroud playfully, looking like they were having a great time.
"That's Electrike and Vulpix. They're part of the team too. Oh, and orry about that burn earlier, but we couldn't have you taking those eggs."
"Kanss...?"
"W..well, it's not good to eat other Pokemon's babies," he said, not sure how to explain it. "You'll be well fed with me around," he added. "Oh yes, and welcome to the team!"

((Haha. Yeah I guess. Just wondering how I was going to write out Roxanne's smack down! I allways hated training my Torchic up to evolution just to learn fighting moves to take her on.... Very annoying in my opinion since I never got any pokemon befor fighting her...)) A grin came appeared on Roxanne's face as she threw her pokeball out to reveal a Nosepass. " You ready for this Nosepass." She said eagerly.
Dante smirked at her choice before motioning for Shiva, who had been hiding behind him to roll out into the arena. Dante could have sworn he saw Roxanne wince a bit upon seeing the water and ice pokemon. "You ready to get beat Roxanne?" Dante called across the arena.
A determined look appeared on Roxanne's face. "You may have the type advantage but that doesn't mean that you will win. NosePass use your Rock Throw attack!" She exclaimed. Nosepass glowed slighlty as Rocks were lifted into the air and were hurtled at Shiva.
Dante growled slightly befor comanding. "Shiva dodge them them best you can." The seal pokemon was all ready doing that doing her best to dodge the attacks. While the rocks missed her she was launched up or sent flying a few times due to the shock of them landing.

((I'm going to assume Ryka comes with us, I doubt she'd hang around the creepy cave all by herself. sweatdrop She can change it if she wants to though, when she comes back. ^_^ ))
The trio of trainers and troupe of Pokemon made their way back towards the Pokemon Center. Kasiya watched Growly as they walked, knowing that soon she would give him a new name. She also knew that the name rater lived in Lavender Town, and she'd have to head back that way soon. Then it hit her - Fang could fly her! That is, if he concentrated long enough not to drop her. Maybe we'll start with short flights, she thought, until he gets the hang of it. Her mind raced back to the flight she'd had with the Pidgeot when she'd met Mike and Mitsu on Dewford Island. She didn't think flying with Fang would be as nearly as exhillarating, but at least it was flying. After the name rater's house, she reasoned, then maybe go back to Celadon to finally win that Rainbow Badge. Then south to Fushcia City to find the gym there, and then...
Her thoughts were interrupted by Jaeshan, who noticed her pensive look. "What's on your mind?" he asked.
"Oh, not much," she replied. "I'm just thinking about what I should do next on my journey."
"I see," he nodded, turning back to the road. I guess I should be thinking of what we're to do next...

After a moment the attack stopped and Shiva looked rather relieved a few little cuts on her from where chips of rock had hit her. "Shiva, lets try a Water Gun attack. Try to get all wet!" He comaned an idea comig to his mind. Shiva barked and imediatly started a Water Gun attack effectivly soaking the Rock Pokemon. "Now Shiva use Powder Snow and try to freeze that pokemon. Shiva nodded and her eyes glowing slighlty it started to get rather cold in the room and the mosture in the air freezing to snow. A light layer of frost appeared on Nosepass. However it wasn't enough to freeze the pokemon.
"Nice stratigy but its going to take more then that to freeze us." Roxanne said confidently. "Nosepass use Harden to stick through the next attacks. Nosepass said something in pokelanguage and glowed for a minute befor a light sheen appeared on him the harden attack now in place.
Dante smirked at this. "Glad to know that your Nosepass had Harden. Though what Rock pokemon doesn't? Anyway that helps me out a bit."

"Huh?" Roxanne gave him a confused look. "I dont know what you are planning but whatever it is it isn't going to work." She said confidently.
"Thats what you think. Shiva, now that its stuck use Surf!" He comanded. Shiva barked and her eyes started to glow slightly as a large wave of freezing water appeared and smashed down hard on Nosepass. Due to the hugeness of the attack and the fact that it was stuck in place by Harden it couldn't avoid the attack and was hit by the full force of the wave.
When the wave settled down and the water disappeared Shiva was left in the middle of the arena looking smug. The Nosepass dispite all the attacks on it was still standing ready for more dispite its damaged state. Dante frowned slighlty at this but shrugged it off. It didn't look like it could take much more of this.
"Oh Nosepass." Roxanne called somewhat worried. "Why dont we try a Rock Tomb attack!"

Wanna-be?! Winona gritted her teeth and snarled at the now callous comments. "I'll show you wanna be shrimp!" She shouted as her Pokemon was hit straight on with the Haunter's Confuse Ray. "Altaria! Don't let that get to you, use another DragonBreath!" Winona commanded, getting a little nervous. Altaria inhaled and blew a firey breath at the ghost Pokemon.

After a bit of a shaky start, Keegan soon found that training with Ekans wasn't so difficult. He'd set up makeshift targets of rocks and fallen logs, and had the snake practicing his aim with Poison Sting. After that, he told him to practice his Wrap attack on one of the larger rocks, squeezing it as hard as he could. After a while, small cracks appeared in the rock, and Keegan was satisfied. His three Pokemon now tired from a day of training, he headed back towards Vermilion City, riding at a medium pace, his Pokemon resting within their Pokeballs.

Mitsu scoffed. "Look who's losing thier cool now?" Mitsu said off handly with a smirk before turning back to the battle. Ebony dodged the attack, only being grazed by it a little. It didn't phase him one bit. "Night Shade!" Mitsu said pointing at the confused Altaria.

Altaria had just enough time to shake off the confusion (after knocking itself into the floor a bit) before the final blow was struck. The rippley distortion of the Night Shade caused the naucsious Pokemon to plummet to the ground. Winona's demeaner changed to a calm soft expression as she recalled her Pokemon. "I know I've lost." She said with a seemingly out of place smile. "But I won't go down easy." Without another word, she tossed her final Pokemon, a Tropius.
Winona's voice died down to a near whisper. "Now, Tropius, use your Magical Leaf attack."

Mitsu faced changed to a frown. At least keep that calm cool look you had earlier she thought rolling her eyes slightly. She knew Tate and Liza never would allow themselves to go down like that. "Have some confidence in yourself!" Mitsu said shooting Winnoa a half glare. "I's hate to beat you when you're not at your best!"
Ebony was struck with the magical leaves. He winced a bit. "Don't let that stop you! Shadow Ball!" Haunter conjured up a mysterious ball of darkness and shot it at the Tropius.
