Mana bounced a little bit, waving at the two newcomers, "Oh lovely! Just what we asked for, Iqbal!" she beamed at her newfound friends and clasped her hands together politely behind her back lest she get excited enough to start throwing her arms around everyone-- she certainly didn't know any of them well enough to do that yet!
Harmony whickered, pressing his nose against Mana to aid her in this calming effect. I'll try to keep that in mind, at least. I can usually keep her out of trouble The unicorn informed Fortune, a weary smile of sorts crossing his lips. He eyed the newcomers suspiciously, attempting to take in their measure. And who might you be? His voice was certainly less than welcoming as it was directed at Emerald.
"What's your name?" she asked Lirael, not waiting for her to respond about the hide-and-seek game, "I'm Mana and my friend here is Harmony..." she put her hand on the unicorn's forehead and scratched between his ears, just the way he liked, "And these guys are Iqbal and Fortune."

Lirael looked to Emerald before she answered, he was her guide through everything.
I am Emerald, this is Lirael. We aren't staying, just passing. He had picked up on the tone and didn't like it to much. His hackles raised slightly and Lirael saw, blinking a little. Its ok. She smiled and looked up. "I am Lirael and this is Emerald." She watched, obviously shy, she felt slightly uneasy as Emerald had raised his hackles, he wasn't growling though which confused the young girl.

Iqbal paused to take in the newcomers. Hmm. We'll have to be wary of the dog. His voice resounded to Fortune's mind as the gryphon eyed the daemon and Forgotton.
'There is no need to be alarmed.' Gold eyes circled to the precautious pup as the gryphon tried to reassure him.
"Ah, pleased to meet you Lirael. We were wondering if you'd like to play a game with us?"

Slow paced steps echoed through the crisp autumn air as leather boots hit nearly frozen ground. The gusts of wind ruffled simple music sheets clasped in a girl's hand. The chill in the air dug at skin better protected than most. How the cold seeped so close to bone was a mystery to Echo as she trod towards the library.
-remind me where we are going again?-a voice dripping with sarcasm drawled wordlessly.
A rather disgruntled lizard was perched within the supposed warmth of the Forgotten's jacket, but advertisements and gaurantees for warmth fell into Silence's book of 'lies and deciet'. The Daemon shuddered at the bite of the wind, his bare skin unable to withstand 'harsh' cold such as this. Autumn and winter were solely bondage time with his special Sun-Lamp-Heater device, not times to sally forth on uneeded trips to the origin of the duo.
'The library' -library?- 'correct' -why? Why now...You woke me from a pleasent Faux-sunbath to traverse through anything but pleasent cold to where? The library. What do we need there?- The daemon tacked on in nothing near to companionable curiosity.
'I want to pick up sheet music...If they have any' The proud and strong air to Echo's voice dissapated upon being challenged by her sibling-of-sorts. Frosty fingers tempered with loose fabric about the handle of 'Zai', a well love worn violin named by Silence when Forgotten and Daemon were still caught in their youth.
Silence simple slipped his tongue over the curve of his optic in response. It was times like these where he would simply lose interest in the notorious cry babies thoughts and ideals. Not only did the heavy set insecurity of the girl eat away at his nerves, but the fact that a simple harsh tone may leave the child broken and in tears on the ground peeved him to no extent. Cuaght in his anger the Daemon rasped his tail against Echo's sensitive neck to prove an unspoken point.
"Ow!" The Forgotten exclaimed in fright, fear, and pain, "That was not needed, Silence."
Yes, that most definately left a waver in the girl's voice. Yet Echo choked back threatening tears and uneeded drama upon sighting a rather peculiar group gathering not a yard from her current position. She caught her breath in her throat, making a small sound which resonated through the chill in the air. A few steps back put the duo behind a flourishing shrubbery, a makeshift hiding spot until the group left the area. Gods how Echo hated crowds. Silence simply glowered from his sheltered perch at the mouse like actions of his Forgotten companion.

From his current position, Iqbal stood up ears flicking to the sounds of the newcomers. Currently he had just wanted to get the game going than sit around waiting for more people.
"Well, perhaps one of you would be kind enough to escort the shy lady that's walking by here to the inside? It's going to be rather boring to wait here much longer." He drawled out with a slight yawn to the two girls next to him.
It wasn't much longer before Fortune arose and Iqbal's nails traced down the door to the knob, edging into the house with a smile at the interior.

"Sure!" Mana bounded over to the newcomer followed by a mutteringly angry white unicorn.
The girl paused a moment to curtsey (Emily had told her before that curtseying sometimes made people who were scared more comfortable. Something about formality and respecting distances and whatnot) before the new girl, "Hello! I"m Mana! Come play with us. We are going to have a game of Hide 'n Seek."
And please just do it, she'll keep harping at you until you do anyhow, Harm was feeling less and less excited about this whole prospect. Iqbal seemed to be leaning towards going -in- the house to play this game, and the stars knew what would happen then. The house was -insane-, afterall.

Lirael followed the boy into the house, her hand was on Emeralds head as if to make sure he was still there and wouldn't leave her.
Emerald watched the other deamons, he was curious but weary, the boy seemed interesting to him but he didn't pay him that much attention, Lirael was to watch them. He was however curious to the new one who came around. His ears pricked up to listen and smiled.
Come on Lirael, lets go in and play. He looked up at her with a smile and she nodded entering the house slightly nervous.

Echo watched the girl approach, her senses buzzing with realization that she had indeed been spotted. The Forgotten cowerd, her fist wrapped tightly around the worn handle of her violin case. The sheet music quivering in her quake. Bright hazel eyes flit from left to right in worry.
-Settle down, Echo.- Silence's voice hissed in her mind. Caught up within herself, the Forgotten almost missed the girl's introduction.
"M-m..Mana?" Echo squeaked out, unable to ignore Silence's pathetic head-hang gesture. Quivering in her boots, quite literally mind you, Echo tried to calm herself, "I'm..Echo" The girl forced out. Her pulse slowing immensely in light of exchanging names.
"Hide and Seek?" So much for calm demeanor. Echo's eyes widened in fear. She had been to the house before, and that was no place to play in. They could get hurt, lost or even killed? Well, maybe not to that extreem. But to face the truth, the building did not bode well in her mind.
-Don't back down on this one, crybaby.- 'Stop insulting me!' Echo's voice rang back as she held back the urge to run from the scene.
"I'd very much like to join," Echo said, voice quivering in attempts to be strong, "But I'm on an errand...of sorts."
-Echo, we'd better go on this game playing business- A Lizardous voice muttered, -The Horned Horsey said something about harps- Silence shuddered at the memory of entangled limbs while Echo attempted to play the harp. He was sure that his hearing recepters were still damaged from that time.
"I'm So-" Echo's attention was grabbed by the feeling of Silence slithering out from her coat and into the chilled air. He landed on the ground and began to scurry towards the house, "Silence!"
-It sounds like fun and I would like to join, please thanks!-
And there at the distance Silence maintained a wave of nausea poured over both of them. Echo lurched forward to rid herself of the feeling and found herself pulled towards the house. Small tears leaked as she was led to the house against her will.
Sharp eyes scanned the grass for Silence's bright orange skin, yet when she picked the lizard up, she noted a pale tone of the scally skin.
"Don't do that again, it's too cold." She muttered, placing Silence back within her coat. It looked like she had found herself involved in this mishap meeting afterall.

[Well hello! heart
QS mentioned that a nudge might be in order, to make sure you all get some more RP in before the contest ends on the 4th! I'm happy to move you along, but I haven't spoken with Tia, so please be flexible pending further information!
In the mean time, here is a side scene to tide you all over! Sorry for moving you along without a choice, but it's all in good fun. whee Feel free to respond, or PM me if you have any questions or confusion. Tia, drop me a PM when you're back? heart Hope it's okay I'm helping out!]
The Hall
"Well, since we're all together..." Looking over the bunch with half a smile, still conscious of his smarting ankle, Iqbal strolled further inside and motioned the others to follow. He opened one of the doors along the left side of the hall quietly, sharing a significant look with Fortune as he did so. This was the perfect place!
"Wait inside. I'll be back soon." Not much of an explanation, but then he didn't owe them much. Waiting until everybody had piled inside the generous room, Iqbal smiled and pulled the door shut...leaving the three and their Daemons alone in the chamber. He had a few things to prepare, then the real games could begin!
The Play Room
-The hall beyond the door was silent, the boy leaving no footsteps to echo. In the room around them, toys and boxes of various sizes and colors were scattered...the scene illuminated by a single harsh bulb set in the fixture in the ceiling.
There were no chairs, no tables...only toys. Upon closer inspection, each and every toy was damaged. The teddy bear was missing an eye, the ball had gone flat from a leak. A doll was losing stuffing from a hole in her arm pit, and the jagged spring of a ruined jack in the box protruded sadly from its box. Heaps and heaps, piles and piles of broken toys...all stacked haphazardly in the center of the chamber.
With a loud click, the door behind them suddenly locked. The light overhead flickered in response, brightdarkbright, before returning with a steady glow.
Was the room a bit smaller than it had been, before?-

((Grazie, Ana! ^^ I'm sure Tia will be fine with it. <3))
Mana giggled at the other girl as the two entered the building, "This'll be fun!" she assured her, and her daemon. She blinked in curiousity as she spotted the surroundings.
She clapped her hands together in delight, "Ooh! Look at all these beautiful toys!" she shouted, hopping a bit and turning to Harmony as though asking his permission to go ahead and play with them until Iqbal got back.
The unicorn looked distinctly nonplussed. At least, as much so as his equine features could manage.
Mana, I don't like the looks of this he said softly, though he knew she would be unlikely to listen Something seems dodgy. And I don't just mean our companions. Having so many people about was starting to make him even more grouchy than usual. This whole hide-and-seek thing seemed like a worse idea by the moment.
Mana ignored him, as she tended to do, and instead went over to the nearest pile...only to see that the doll she'd been eyeing had...well, no hair...though it looked like it once had.
"Oh!" she pulled back in surprise, "I wonder....?"

Echo blinked wildly, how had she gotten tied into this. She sent a hurtfelt glare towards Silence before looking around the room in anything but awe. It was aweful in here. Nothing but broken toys and a dogy lightbulb hanging from the ceiling.
'I don't like it here' Echo said, cradeling Silence's warming form. The Daemon lifted his scaly head to gaze at her with a mocking air.
-It's not that bad, could be fun if you losened up a bit.-
Both sets of eyes regarded their companions. One full of mischeif the other with wary fear.
"Erm...I'm sorry, but I don't know any of you." Echo said, attempting to sound confident in a crowd of people she did not know, nor did she want to know, "My name is Echo and this is Silence." She gestured to the lounging lizard. "He's the one wh-" And then the lights flickered repeatedly.
The Forgotten let out a small wail and coward around her musical belongings. waiting for it all to end.
-Echo, we may have a problem.- Came Silence's weary voice as he gauged the room with one large eye.
"Did the room just get," Oh how it pained her to say it, but this was not something she could push to the back of her mind. Especially not when a Unicorn was present. The space did get more cramped in her oppinion. "Smaller." Echo finished her sentence, voice trailing as she fiddled with her Violin case.

Lirael had followed the others in and yes she had been amazed at all the toys had stayed close to Emerald, she seemed to be a puppet to him sometimes.
Emerald was watching the others and he felt himself tensing up, something he knew would probably worry Lirael. There wasn't much need for that, listening to what the others were saying had got Lirael curled up on the floor next to the dog like daemon.
"I dont want to die.. not like this..." She had suddenly closed her eyes, her thumb in her mouth as she seemed to chew on it.
Oh stop it Lirael and get up, come on. I am sure we can work together and get out of here. He growled slightly at Lirael and turned to the two he didn't know, nudging Liraels hand.
"I am Lirael and this is Emerald.." She shuddered a little as she spoke but Emeralds push meant she had say it. "He.. he thinks we should work out a way out.. together.."

The Play Room
-The eyes of the doll near Mana's hand opened slowly, even though the toy wasn't touched. The lights flickered again, but this time it was obvious...the room was indeed smaller. Not just smaller, but shrinking.
Even as Lirael spoke, a metal bucket of blocks toppled from the pile as the toys against the wall shifted. The wooden blocks bounced and tumbled to rest on the floor...the first one tumbling to a halt against a plastic truck. P. The next one landed not far, L. The last two blocks clattered to a halt, silently A and Y.
From somewhere in the pile, a tiny automated voice chirped and droned. "Play with me!......Play....with....me playy...." It wound down slowly, as though a key needed turned, and finally fell silent. A distant laugh echoed through the vents, but the walls seemed to hold steady. For the moment, at least...-

((I'm back everyone from the painstakingly long trip to Pennsylvania without internet. I'd like to thank Aki for keeping you all entertained while I was away. So, we're going to have to pick up the pace a little and dive right into the plot, which is where the fun begins. <3 Sorry to any inconvenience this may have caused you, and now back on schedule!))
"Think we've... left them in there long enough?" Iqbal's coy smirk played on his face while his head turned to his daemon who looked completely un-amused.
"What? I just thought I'd give them a little fun..." The wolf-boy murmured while trying to avert the golden gaze of his gryphon.
Fortune though nipped hard at his ankles which set off a faint growl in his throat. True, they didn't get along sometimes, but he was sure that the gryphon wasn't going to mind so much with the companions he'd picked up. Especially because they were girls.
'Just get them out so we can move to a room where they won't be spooked. Even if you don't have a particular space in your heart for females in general, you shouldn't treat them so badly.'
The gryphon's words were true, as she prodded the teenager forward with her head.
Iqbal gave her an immediate roll of the eyes as he walked to the playroom door. "Alright, everyone, sorry it took so long, I've found the best place for our game. Just follow me and we'll be having fun in no time." A somewhat comforting smile was given to the three forgotten and their daemons as Fortune watched Iqbal carefully. She couldn't control him or influence him as she used to when he was younger, and she hoped that the game wouldn't turn out to be something similar or relating to a land of snow.

Mana blinked at the doll, wondering if she'd imagined the eyes moving...and decided she probably had. She had a very vivid imagination, afterall! Shrugging, the girl turned back to Iqbal, smiling. She was starting to like him already.
"All right!" she pumped a fist in the air and trotted over to where he was standing, "Lead away, fearless one!" It was time to get into the mode. Maybe she'd be a safari person. Like, with the hat and all that jazz.
Harmony sighed and followed as well, though he still felt rather distrustful of the situation in general, particularly as it now involved the house itself, and he remembered many terrible happenings in said house.
This can't be good...he muttered to any who would listen.
