"Yeah," she said, leading him back towards the elevator. "Well...did you know that we have some here on this island? All kinds.. so don't be afraid if you see them. They're all just people...they'll be nice to you."

"Wow, really?" Cody found that amazing. Being still a kid, even if he was already 10, the boundaries of reality were still mixed with fantasy in several points. It was still unbelivable, but in his concept of doctors he never tought for a split second she could be lying to him. Actually he wanted to go down the island and confirm it

Aubrey was having a hard time keeping the illusion that she was happy and chipper. Not only because the guilt ws getting to her, but so was all the walking. She learned heavily on the back wall of the elevetor. "Really really. All kinds. There's a wolf man named Ambrose. And a snake girl named Cassidy. A fox named Vasile and a cheetah named COlche, amoung others."

The doors opened and she began her way towards the Jeep.

"Cool" he was more eager than ever, a large smile playing on his lips. But he noticed how unconfortable Aubrey seemed to be and got a bit worried "Are you feeling alright Aubrey?"

Aubrey forced the smile back. "Yeah, I just get tired easily. I'm not -fully- better yet. Its a slow process sometimes, and I think I'm trying to rush it."

She helped the boy into the seat and did his seatbelt, then began her way towards the village.

"I know what that feels like" One of the downsides of his MS was getting tired rather easily. It could be a real pain sometimes, specially when he wanted to play sports

The village was rather large now, a complex of 50 duplexes carved out of the thick jungle.

"Have you ever stayed by yourself?" AUbrey asked, getting out and helping Cody to Duplex 51, on the bottom floor. "It can be scarey at first, but there is a nice man who lives above you."

"No, never" up until now he always relied on his parents. But he though it couldn't be that bad, he'd get a room just for himself and could do what he wanted

"I'll go see him"

Aubrey pressed her thumb to a reader pad by the door, then pulled a key from her labcoat pocket and opened it. "His name is Newt," she said as she handed the key to the boy.

She walked into the room, which resembled a decent-sized hotel room. "You have the clothes you came with, of course, but there are other clothes in the drawers...and some books and things for you by the bed."

She motioned to the panel by the door. "This is an intercom. If you need anything you press 0 and ask for Aubrey, okay? Also, the big building in the middle of the village is a cafeteria and entertainment complex. There are plenty of movies and video games for you there."
PostPosted: Thu Jun 15, 2006 3:37 am

Cody looked in awe at his new room. He never hoped of having such a big room just for himself, and so well equiped

He looked at the intercom when Aubrey pointed it out. It seemed easy to use

"Thank you. This place is really awsome"

"Oh, I forgot" he went to pick the folder he had brought from the helicopter and delivered it to Aubrey "Mom said to give this to you. It has all the records of my previous treatments, therapies, diet, etc and some other notes she wrote"

Aubrey took Cody's file and slipped it into the file she already had on him. Chances are they knew everything allready, but she would give it a thorough read later.

"I think thats all for now. Remember..just contact me if you need anything. And don't be afraid of the people here. Some of them are rough around the edges, but they're all treat you nice." At least they better.

And with that, Aubrey headed back to the Jeep, definately needing a break.

"Thanks, I will" He wasn't at all worried about the other islanders. Actually he was curious to see if they were real anthros like Aubrey said
But first he wanted to explore his room. And maybe later he would visit his neighboor Newt

The Boy and the Wolf

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose yawned and stretched as he wandered out of the cafeteria after his daily gorging. Things had been pretty slow on his end since the soccer match. It had been a great deal of fun for him, especially considering he missed out on the post-game fight altogether and was left with a much better impression of the game. He had gotten some great excercize, and the team strategizing had been WONDERFUL, appeasing some inner need of his that had been nagging at him below the surface. He hadn't felt the strange urgings to dart off into the jungle and chase down small furry things since then, and the linkage was not lost on the wolf-man. He had done enough reading wolf books not to be totally ignorant to lupine instincts and pack activities to understand that his fondness for the team sport was likely due at least in some part to his new instincts.
Of course, he always had a fondness in his heart for the mano-a-mano combative sports like fencing, he was much more likely to find willing participants for soccer, which people tended to learn in gym class, than fencing.

He had just strolled into the entertainment room on a whim after his meal, and went to the shelves that housed the animal books to browse through them. Since Angelina's change, he was once again curious as to genets' social behavior, Angelina and the forthcoming ring that he had ordered in his mind

Cody Archer
Up until now Cody had spent most of his time in his room, exploring every little detail and trying to unpack his suitcase (which was still halfway to go). But now it was time to do some exploring outside and the large building was first on his list
He was curious about what Aubrey had told him about the anthro people she told him about though. Where they really animal-people? And did they really act like the ones in comics and movies? He was still wodering on that when he arrived at the town hall. Not knowing where each door leaded he just entered throught the first

It seemed like a library at first sight, but they he noticed the shelves filled with video games and movies... and what looked like a grey werewolf reading a book!

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose was fairly engrossed in the large book in his pawlike hands as he had finally found the section on civets and their relatives when Cody edged into the room. He was oblivious to the new arrival for nearly a full minute before his senses finally got the attention of his mind and he looked up quickly (belatedly) to see a young boy looking at him with wide eyes.

Ambrose's ears flattened back against his head instinctively - he had never seen him before - and he was decidedly human... and yet the boy didn't seem afraid - which was good! Maybe he knew already... that had to be it.

Recovering, Ambrose set down the book and his tail wagged a couple of times as he tried to put on a nonthreatening smile - he had scared one too many adults to rest easy with him, let alone having to deal with frightening a small boy. What was a child of his age doing here anyway?? The doctors couldn't.... they wouldn't.... would they?

"Hello there..." He spoke softly as he kneeled down.

Cody Archer
Cody just stood there looking at Ambrose in amazement. Not for a split second he remembered to be afraid. It was true, they were real

But when the wolf man looked and addressed him he felt a bit uneasy. "H-hi!"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose was relieved when he saw (and smelled!) the lack of fear in the boy - that would have been a blow to his self confidence that he didn't need. The only uncertainty came when addressed - and with Amrbose's (admitted limited) expeirence with children, that wasn't uncommon for any child who was spoken to directly by a stranger... and right about now Ambrose was as strange as they came.

"My name is Ambrose." He continued gently, staying knelt down (not even connecting the canine submissive gesture associated with it). "What's yours?"

Cody Archer
Cody kept staring at Ambrose for at least a minute before he remembered to reply. He was still overwelmed by this whole situation, to be talking to an actual werewolf

"Cody, Cody Archer. Aubrey told me about you" he smilled, feeling a bit more confident

Ambrose Maurlias
He smiled, his tongue lolling as the boy finally answered, his ears pricked curiously at the mention of Aubrey. "It is nice to meet you, Cody." He spoke slowly, carefully and then held out his hand to shake. "You have spoken with Aubrey, then...? IS... is one of your parents up at the laboratory..?" Maybe he was living with a staffmember... they couldn't be using him as a subject..

Cody Archer
Cody grabbed the hand (or was it paw?) and returned the shake. The rough pads felt strange to the touch, like the ones of his friend's cat, but bigger

"No, they stayed at home. I'm here to try a treatment"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose's heart sunk at the news, and the smile wavered on his face, though he returned the shake nonetheless. 'Treatmenet' was virtually synonmous with becoming a subject. And he had a family back home..? The poor kid...

"What... is the treatment for, if you don't mind me asking, Cody? And... am I the first other person you've met here aside from Aubrey?"

Cody Archer
Cody looked at Ambrose with some curiosity. Seemed something he said upset him, but it was hard to tell thorough the canine's expressions

"MS. Multiple Sclerosis"

He hoped that rang a bell. He never liked explaining what it was, reminding him of the limitations it meant. But the second question puzzled him a bit

"Err... yes"

Ambrose Maurlias
His brow furrowed for a moment, but then a vague recollection of the disease came back and he nodded seriously. While the specifics didn't come to mind, he knew that it was a degenerative disease, and one that was generally terminal. An ear flicked back as he studied the boy - there was curiousity, innocence in his eyes... Ambrose's sympathies grew.

"I... see. And I don't frighten you?" He asked with a small smile. He was the first one he had met... perhaps there was something great with the vantage of a child

Cody Archer
Only then Cody noticed Ambroses ear flicking. How did he do that?

"No, not really. Why do you ask?" these questions seemed stranger by the second

Ambrose Maurlias
"I just... I'm sorry, most people who meet me are frightened. They dont' exactly expect to meet... a wolf person." He grinned sheepishly, inadvertantly exposing several long, pointed teeth.

Cody Archer
Cody never realised about how impossible the existance of anthros were. Before he came to the island thought they didn't exist, but meeting one face to face and imediatly obliterated that concept

"Aubrey told me about the animal-people here. Said most of you were nice"

Ambrose's teeth did however made him him feel uneasy again. Never having a dog before he couldn't really tell if that was just a smile or a snarl

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose chuckled at that, nodding and patting the boy gently on the shoulder. Of course, he was a child... "That's true." He admitted, settling to an actual sitting-position on the floor by him. "Not everyone is... ah... prepared to see animal-people. Uhm... I guess that a lot of people think that they don't really exist... or think that we're mean... like werewolf movies or something."

Cody Archer
Cody nodded at the explanation "You're not like those werewolves. They only come out during full-moon nights, everyone knows that"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose barked a good-natured laugh at that. "That's true. Though not everyone apparently thinks about that when they see a wolf person walking about... unfortunately." Ambrose tussled Cody's hair. "But can't fool you."

Cody Archer
Cody lauthed as well, combing his hair back to normal " But are you really a wolf? In all of the stories I've heard they're always the bad guy"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose sighed heavily at that with a small roll of his eyes. "I know." He muttered. "It's not exactly fair, now is it? Though in my defense it's only mostly the Western movies and cartoons.... My friends have shown me some Japanese animation where it's pretty reversed. But, you have my promise that I'm a good wolf." His tail thumped against the carpet.

Cody Archer
"No... it really isn't" Cody wondered for a bit. Why were wolfs always the bad ones? "But at least you're not like them" he smiled back at Ambrose

Ambrose Maurlias
He shook his head with a closed-mouth smile. "No, I'm not." He glanced around the room before looking back to Cody. "So what sorts of things do you like to do for fun?" He felt a strange combination of awkwardness around the boy - not having had much experience baby sitting before, and the knowledge that someone as young as he was now a part of the island... he just hoped that perhaps the MS he had spoken about was really the reason he was here... that maybe his life WAS threatened, like Colche's - but in a different way, and that they could help him....

And on the other hand... Ambrose felt a sense of responsibility. His parents weren't here... he was sure the labtechs were too busy... and he was the first other person he had encountered. Some paternal instinct was flaring in him - the fact that wolves communally raised cubs chiming in with that sense of responsibiliyt

Cody Archer
At that question Cody said the first thing that came to mind "Soccer! Though I can't really play it much since I got the MS. Get tired easily and my hands and feet get numb often. And sometimes my legs start to shake too and I fall down"

It really sucked having this disease. Besides the symptoms he'd mentioned, he also had bladder problems

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose frowned sympathetically at the talk. "well... maybe they will be able to help you here. I've seen them.... help a lot of people get over physical problems. Why... one guy even grew back his arm!" The exclamation was said with a slight bitter note to it, however. Ambrose couldn't bring himself to tell the boy the full truth. Maybe they could help him.

"And you're in luck if you like soccer... there's a guy here who used to play soccer professionally. Thom Brinley? I don't know if you've heard of him or not. I never followed the games - I was a - er.. my favorite sport was fencing." He caught himself.

Cody Archer
Cody's eyes widen in amazement. Growing back a whole arm? It sounded impossible. But the mention of a famous soccer player living here too it was what make him grow excited

"Wow, really? I've heard of him a couple of times, he's from England right? What's he's doing here? Do you think they'll let me meet him? And what's fencing?"

Ambrose Maurlias
Cody's enthusiasm was contagious. "Yes~! You've heard of him? I was embarrassed to tell him I had never heard of him. Yes, He's from England. And... he's here ... to... ah... well... he mentioned something about an injury..." Ambrose trailed off. "Fencing? You've never heard of fencing?" Ambrose asked in mock-scandal. "It's... modern sword-fighting. I should have brought my epee with me..."

Cody Archer

"Well, duh! Englad has one of the best teams in europe. Of course I know... though I don't know how he looks like" Cody actually kept a sticker collection of soccer players back at home, but it was still quite incomplete and it had some players missing on the list

At the mention of sword fight, the first thing he thought about was pirates. But it was hard to imagine Ambrose dressed in a pirate outfit "Wow, neat"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose's tail was wagging steadily now, happy for an excuse to chat about sports. "I'm afraid I don't know very much about which teams are better. But a whole group of us did a soccer game last week - and my team beat out Thom's." He was also eager for a chance to boast that point.

"And yes! Maybe I can show you a thing or two sometime with the epee. Unfortunately there arent' a whole lot of people around here who do fencing, though." He stretched, catching a glimpse of the clock. He had been away for a while now, and Angelina was probably waiting for him.

"But... it was nice to meet you, Cody." He said getting back to his feet and putting up the book he had been looking at. "If you ever need anything - a friend, have questions, anything. I'm in duplex number 1. That should be pretty easy to find, yes?"

Cody Archer
"Thom getting beaten!?!" That sounded even more impossible than anthros living on the island. Perhaps he didn't had a good team... that was probably it. A person alone couldn't win the game

Again Cody tried to imagine Ambrose dressed up as Jack Sparrow, doing all types of tricks with his sword. But for some reason he just didn't seem to fit. Maybe when he saw him perform...

"Ok, was nice meeting you too Ambrose. I think I can find it, I'm in number 51 by the way"

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose reached over and shook the boy's hand again. "It was very nice meeting you as well, Cody. Take care, and I will have to come and pay you a visit some time." With a wave and a smile, Ambrose headed back out to his duplex, worry settled on his shoulders. He would have to talk to Aubrey about Cody....

Snakey Soccer Player

Thomas Brinley
Idleness was a crime. Must stay active. Must stay fit. Even with the knowledge that he was stuck on an island and could probably just retreat to his duplex for the rest of his life, old habits held true and, after spending a couple of hours in the workout room, Thom had retreated to the so-called 'village square' for a brief drill run through.

Over the past few days, he had gradually become used to his new feet. He could walk as easily as ever now, and his game hadn't lagged in the slightest--indeed, one the soreness of his new tail died out, the balance it provided allowed for some improvement to his normal skills. What he was having trouble with was dealing with life without shoes.

Running towards his chosen goal, dribbling the soccer ball from foot to foot--an opponent appeared to his right and he swerved, feigning a bolt onto to run the opposite direction, successfully avoiding a second opponent. And there was the goal. Plant foot for a kick--

And set it directly upon a particularly sharp stick. "Dammitall!"

Cody Archer
Cody has out on his explorations again. After Ambrose had left him in the entertainment room he had spent a good deal of his time watching videos and playing some games. But now he was bored, so he set out to find what else lied hidden withing the large building

He was heading to another door when he heard the familiar sound of a leather ball being kicked and soon after that someone cursing. Curious as always he went to investigate

He saw the strange mad hopping about. Seemed he had stepped on someting
He looked normal at first but then he realised he had a tail. It must be another anthro, though Cody found strange him looking so human

He walked closer to get a better view, but felt a bit shy in addressing someone he didn't knew

Thomas Brinley
Thom cursed through his teeth, tucking his knee up against his chest and hopping an ungainly circle while clutching his foot. After a quick glance to assure himself he wouldn't fall on anymore sticks, he dropped to the ground, manuvering his foot to inspect the wound. A bit of blood, but nothing serious. His entire foot was a mess by now between running around the village, jungle and beach. One more little p***k wouldn't hurt anything.

Sighing, he returned his foot to the ground and glanced around for his ball, only then catching sight of the little boy watching from a short distance away. He quirked a brow, offering a half-wave in greeting. "Ah, 'ello there. Sorry about th' cursin'. Stepped on a stick, y'see."

Cody Archer
Cody got even closer once he was addressed. Not really knowing what to say he just replied

"It' ok. But why aren't you wearing any shoes? It wouldn't hurt that way"

Thomas Brinley
"My feet've shrunk," he offered, stretching out one leg and pointing to said foot for inspection. "A bit, anyway. An' my toes're gone. So my shoes don't fit correctly any longer."

Tucking his foot beneath him, he climbed to his feet and dusted off his shorts, pacing over to the soccer ball. "'Oo're you, then?"

Cody Archer
"Oh!" he looked amazed at the feet. He couldn't imagine a reason for them shrinking, but they looked really weird with just the big toe left

"Cody Archer. You like playing soccer?"

Thomas Brinley
"Football is my life," he corrected, scooping a foot beneath the soccer ball and flicking it up into his hands before turning back to the boy.

"Was my life, anyway. Thom Brinley. Pleasure t'meet you."

Cody Archer
"Football, soccer... it's the same. Except the last doesn't get people confused" that had happened way to often where he lived. It was much more simple this way

But Cody gasped once he realised who he was talking too "You are really THE Thom Brinley? Ambrose told me you were here too, but I never expected they would let me see you. But... what happened? How did you got a tail? And scales"

Thomas Brinley
"American, are you?" He grinned, cocking his head to the side. "Anywhere else in th' world, they'll get confused if y' call it soccer."

Thom blinked, then quirked a brow, ego swelling just a tad. "One an' th' same. You're a football fan, then? I'm sorry t'say not many take th' game seriously 'ere." He paused, smile fading slightly, and shrugged. "They, ah.. Well, I'm not sure 'ow I got 'ere, t' be honest, but they're doin' some sort of experiments.. Turnin' people into animals an' such. No one's told you?"

Cody Archer
"Yeah, I am. I even collect stickers and stuff. Though..." he looked kind of embarassed when he said this "...I don't have anything of you. I kinda lost track of things since I got ill"

At the mention of the experiment he got really confused "No. Aubrey only told me there were animal-people living here. She didn't said anything about turning people into them"

Thomas Brinley
Thom laughed, waving aside the apology. "No worries, lad. I wasn't aware there are stickers of me." Ahaha, he was a collectors item.

"Mn, well, at least they warned you of that much," he grunted. Frowning down at the boy, he hesitated, nervously passing the ball from hand to hand. "Yes, well... I'm afraid th' doctors 'aven't been completely honest with you. When I awoke 'ere, I was under the impression that I would return to England as soon as my concussion healed. In reality.. I've been 'ere over a month, an' I'm turnin' into a snake."

Cody Archer
Cody smiled shyly at Thom's reply. He wasn't about to tell him his sticker album forgotten to include several important players... including him

"But what would they do that? Why did they lied to you?"

For Cody getting lied at like that was a lot worse than knowing they were turning people into animals. Being so young he didn't grasped the full meaning of what that meant

Thomas Brinley
"I don't know," he admitted, shrugging. "To keep me happy while I healed?" He couldn't think of any other reason. Other than, perhaps, that he wouldn't have believed if they had told him straight away, seeing as he wasn't exactly thinking clearly at the time.

"To put things simply.. There're over fifty people 'ere now, I'm told. No one who's been set in a duplex has managed to leave. You're stuck 'ere, lad." Blunt, but oh well. Cody had taken things well thus far.

Cody Archer
Cody noded at the explanation. It made sense, though he never liked being kept in the dark

But what Thom said next shocked him more than anything else "But-but what about my parents? They're going to get worried!"

Thomas Brinley
"Again, I don't know." Thom sighed, crouching to be more at the same level with the boy. "They'll tell 'em some story, I suppose... But you're th' youngest I've seen 'ere yet. Maybe you'll get lucky. How'd you get 'ere?"

Cody Archer
Cody couldn't believe. Cody didn't want to believe, no, he refused to believe he wasn't going going to see his parents again. He was going to get cured, return home and back to his old life again

Thom's question snapped him out of the shock "By helicopter"

Thomas Brinley
Well, that was probably how I got here as well, Thom mused, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. "Er, sorry, why are you 'ere, rather? Some people won trips, some were hired t' jobs, I was 'ere t' heal.."

Cody Archer
"Oh" Cody felt really stupid for not understanding that was what Thom meant

"I'm here to try a treatment to cure my Multiple Sclerosis. It's a disese that messes with my brain and makes by body work wrong sometimes"

He felt that he needed to prove he wasn't as stupid as his last answer made him sound like. Specially not in front of famous soccer player

Thomas Brinley
Thom didn't at all think Cody was 'stupid'. He was a kid, and Thom hadn't been very clear. He was, however, slightly impressed with the boy's knowledge of the disease.

"Multiple Sclerosis," he echoed aloud, frowning sympathetically. "Well... Per'aps you 'ave somethin' t' gain bein' here, then."

Cody Archer
Cody tilted his head to the side slithly, not sure what Thom had meant

"What do you mean?"

Thomas Brinley
Shrugging, he straightened up. "They wouldn't've brought you 'ere if they didn't think they could cure you, I'm sure. They don't let anyone leave, I doubt they let anyone, ah... get that sick either."

He forced a smile, trying to ease things for the boy's benefit. "So you're stuck 'ere, but you're goin' t' get better. Many of us don't 'ave it so lucky."

Cody Archer
Cody didn't know what to reply. It was a lot to take in at the same time. On one hand he would get cured, no more MS, no more symptoms, no more tratments. But on the other... he just didn't want to think about it

But before he could think of something to ask Thom, his bladder started complaining. If there was one thing he hated about the MS was having to go to the bathroom too often

"Is there a bathroom around here?"

Thomas Brinley
He raised a brow, but glanced around all the same, waving vaguely in the direction of the cafeteria. "I think there's one in there. 'Aven't been in most of the other buildings yet, so I'm not sure."

Cody Archer
His bladder started complaining again, this time more threatningly

"I think I won't risk it. Better go back to my room"

He started dashing but halted for a split second "Was great meeting you". Then he ran towards his duplex, before nature forced its call on the way

Thomas Brinley
Thom watched him go, surprised by the sudden departure, then, chuckling softly, dropped his ball back to the ground and resumed his practice, finally retiring to his own duplex some time later.

Cheetahs over Lunch

Cody Archer
Cody had been lying around on his room since his last meeting with Thom. He couldn't stop thinking about what he said, that everyone on the island was stuck here. It scared him that it could be true

While he refused to believe his stomach let out a low growl of protest. He went to the mini-fridge, where he had stored a couple of sandwitches his mother had made him for the trip, but strangely found himself without enough appetite to eat one

Again the stomach protested, slightly lowder this time, so he went to pay a visit to the Town Hall again and try to find the cafeteria
There he stared at the wide variety of food for a good while, before he picked some juice, vegetables and grilled salmon and proceeded to a table close by

Colche
"I gots rumbly in my tumbly, rumbly rumbly in my tuumbley!" The sweet though rather loud singing voice of Colche echoed through the cafeteria doors even before they opened to reveal the naked chetah girl.

her long tail flickered back and forth as she padded in pausing in her musical number to wave to the young boy standing at the food bar "Hai!" She purured padding up to him happily her long black hair falling over, most, of her innappropriate for children to see bits. Of course, this never usually bothered Colche no matter the age of the person she was unphased by the fact that she just didn't get the whole clothes thing.

Her walk was delecat and graceful even though her step contained a bounce to it as she went along her small furry tufted ears flickering and twitching. Of course, when she came to a stop before Cody she looked confused. Why was he so, little? usually people were taller than her, alot taller than her infact! being a dainty lass and all.

It dawned on her that Cody was a child and she squeed happily, her ears perking forwards "I'm colche" she grinned showing her rows of sharp white fangs as she did so. she remembered so faintly her own childhood, it seemed though that Cody was blessed he had been rescued long before he became an adult and brought here, in ehr eyes he was a very lucky child though perhaps he wouldn't see it that way. "want chocolate cake?" she puurred padding aliong the bar to pilfer her favourite snack in duplicate, she held the plates on in each furry hand, two huge slices of chocolate cake, after all, who didn't like chocolate cake?

Cody Archer
Cody's reaction to the overly cheerful cheetah girl was confusion, quickly replaced by complete embarassement. The only time he had seen a girl naked was his mother when he caught her taking a shower and that had been years ago, when he was too little to know better

It got even worse when Colche got closer. Despite her looking a lot like a cat there was still more than enough for him to blush in embarassement and avoiding looking directly at her elegant figure

"I-I-I'm Cody. But my mom says I can't eat sweets on week days"

Colche
Colche tilted ehr head a bit. Week days? Days f the week melded for Colche, if it was a weekday she didn't know it. Of course the fact that she didn't know the days of the week also helped this little bit of obliviousness.

Colche grinned though and padded over to a table with the two slices "Cody" she puurrs petting the seat beside her. "chocolate cake nice though" she stated simply, no sweets on weekdays just wouldn't cut it for Colche plus this was chocolate cake not sweets. Tilting her head to the young guy she grinned happily waiting for him to come and sit. She felt an almost uinstant bond to Cody she felt like she had found a kindred spirit, somone to play with perhaps and watch dvd's?

"Cocolate cake not sweet" she clicked her tongue and purured the sound radiating from ehr chest "just chocolate cake" she giggled both her brows raised, to hetr the fact that the cake wasn't a sweet perse, was a perfectly good excuse as to why he should eat it.

Cody Archer
Cody was about to argue with that logic. Sweets meant it had sugar and all cakes had sugar as far as he knew. But... just one slice couldn't hurt right? Anyway it had been ages since he ate chocolate cake

So he took his plate and went to sit next to Colche, carefully avoiding looking at anything but her face

"I think I can have a slice... just this time" But he started eating what was on his plate first. Desert always tasted better last

Colche
Colche smiled brightly watching the boy eat for a moment before she took a huge cream and chocolatey bite from her cake leaving a blop of chocolate creame right on he tip of her nose. her tongue l;apped out to retreive it but couldn't wuite reach so she reaised her paw like fingers and slipped it in to her mouth that way. She giggled and puurred happily watching Cody with curious eyes. She was quite facinated really, she had never seen a child come to the island, infact she had never seen a child, she didn't know what to think!

Her ears flickered a little as she contemplated the next question she needed to ask "Who Cody mommy?" she questioned, if Cody was only little his mommy must be heer right? her brow furrowed alittle and she tilted her head "Aubrey Colche mommy, she live in lab" she grins wriggling her tail and leaning down a bit to smile happily at the young man. "was be cody gunna be?" she puurrs looking proud of herself before she said her usual title "Colche a princess cheetah" she coos her blue eyes dancing happily.

Cody Archer
Cody chuckled at Colche's creamed nose. It was a cute sight, despite her being older than him.
Actually if it wasn't him meeting other people with mental diseases in the hospital, he would found strange Colche's way of acting and talking

"My mom? Her name is Miriam Archer. She stayed back at home" he related her question to the one Ambrose had asked him before. He wanted to show he was independent, despite being too young for that

"I met Aubrey when I arrived. Didn't know she was your mom" he found strange, she didn't seemed old enough to be Colche's mothe. That and Colche wasn't exactly human

"What I'm going to be? What do you mean? And what's a cheetah?"

Colche
Colche tilted ehr head, she didn't expect Cody to be here on his own,s he was quite surprised, still she smiled and puurred quietly as she watched the youngster think.

"mommy nice" she puurrs her ears fluttering a bit as she said it. Blinking though she was quite surprised that Cody didn't know what he was becioming most everyone did these days. Shrugging a bit she grinned and related her gleaned knowlege of what a cheetah was "cheetahs a fast kitty wif spotty furs" she giggledholding out her arm to show the whorles that even sat upon her skin.

"hmm, wells ambrose wolf an amaya green igywana and Josh a giraffe like melman!" she grins and giggles "was Cody be when he change to fluffy or scaley or uhm aweny" She could never think of a word to describe awens features so it was aweny.

Cody Archer
"Oh!" he looked more closely at Colche's patches of fur, maily the ones on the back since he didn't dared staring at the ones of the front
The only large cat he knew with spots was a leopard. She was probably a cousin

"I don't know. They didn't told me I was going to become an animal-person too" He remembered of Thom telling they were turning people into animal, but he never expected that to happen as well. Though being a kid the concept wasn't at all frighting. That happened all the time in movies and stuff

Colche
Colche giggled and swayed her tail happily, he didn't seem surprised at the concept of turning in to an animal "Ask mommy she tell" she puurrs refarreing to her own mother aka Aubrey of course. "hopes you gets fuzzys" she grins broadly ehr ears flickering happily "you be cutes with fuzzies" by fuzzies she meant fur of course.

Turning back to her chocolate cake for a moment she popped the last of it in her mouth and chewed before swallowing hard "I has lessons" she puurrs "I lives seventeen okies" she smiles brightly nuding the boys shoulder withher cool nose "see laters" she nodded and stood then her deep blue eyes smiling brightly as she did so.

With a gentlwe sigh she headed for the door,s he was a little confused about somone so young being on the island. She had never seena child before but he seemed nice and very ltitle, she would catch up with him another time and play but now she had to go for her lessons they were very important to her.

Cody Archer
"Ok..." Cody started to wonder what he would turn into. Hopefully not into a rodent, he was terrified of those

He looked back at Colche as she said goodbye and making a face when she mentioned lessons "Bye. I'm in 51"

He then returned to his meal, finishing the fish and then taking a bite at the cake slice she had brought him. It was really good
