(( Maybe, they're not blood relatives. And I oogle my cousins anyway, I just don't act on it xd ))
He wiggled around, almost bouncing at the familiar voice. She didn't seem like a threat to Momma, so that must mean she was a nice person. Dulcea stretched her arms into the air, careful not to knock Teagan off, "I think he's doing just fine." She leaned over, putting her head at the girl's level, "You can hold him if you'd like."

((Ew. Bad mental image. (Only have two cousins, both little girls)))
Her whole face lighting up, Shouko's eyes strayed to the bouncing leaf. "I can?"

(( My cousins are all guys over age 16, athletes, and most of them are adopted xd ))
She smiled, still leaned over, Teagan fidgeting on her head, "Of course, just be careful, he's still little."

((Lucky you! Spare one for me? surprised ))
Eyes sparkling, holding her hands out, "I be care.caref.care.." Wrinkling her brow in the realization that she didn't know the word, Shouko paused.
((I just noticed I made her really good at talking. o-o))

(( I think the cutest ones are the two that are brothers, Adam and John, Japanese x German. whee ))
Teagan wiggled around, falling off of Momma's head and into the girl's hands. Dulcea smiled, amused by Shouko's confusion. "Just don't let him break."

((Gimme pics! gonk ))
Catching the little leaf in her hands, Shouko looked at Auntie Ul with awed eyes. "No." Stroking the leaf gently, Shouko began to hum and, unknowingly, emit a calming smell of Sakura flowers.

(( I don't have any. People in my family hate each other, they live about a day and a half drive north ;-; ))
He wriggled around in her hands, loving the new scent. It reminded him of the smell of blooming aloe home in Madagascar. Dulcea sat back up, watching the little girl with Teagan, "I think he likes you."

((Bah, humbug.))
Smiling serenely at Teagan, Shouko answered her auntie, "Yes. Cute!"

She laughed, her hands set on her thighs, "Very cute, like you. I can't wait to see what he'll look like when he gets older." The thought had haunted her mind since the day she had gotten him. Would he look like an animal or a child, both?

"Hel be good. No wory." Shouko nodded decidedly, this she knew for a fact.
((No, I haven't forgotten how to spell; it's simply the way she's pronouncing the words))

Dulcea reached into her bag, pulling out a little bottle of water. She lifted the bottle to the light just to make sure it actually was water rather than another of her charges. She poured a few drops onto her palms, setting it on the ground beside her leg and laying her damp hands on Teagan. "I'm sure he will, I'm just anxious, that's all." She stroked the little leaf, leaving a few trails of cool water. "He seems to like this."

"Yu water im?" ((So irritating to read, but yes.)) Shouko was surprised. Sure, Mama had watered her but never like this. But he seemed to like it, so no worries.

She thought for a moment about the question, "Sort of, there isn't much water in parts of Madagascar, and lemurs seem to like it."

"Oh" What in the world was a Lemur? Shouko was too afraid to ask, since Auntie seemed to think she should already know.

She smiled absently, realizing a few moments later that the child probably didn't know where Madagascar was, or what a lemur was for that matter. "Oh!" she started to explain, "Teagan here is a ring tailed lemur, they're like little monkeys with striped tails. They only live on a little island in the middle of the ocean."
