She fell for it. As she approached, fas suddenly lept off the ground, reached into his robes, then pulled it out. A electrum lightsaber. He ignited it, pointing the bright red balde at her as she came running at him. He simply blocked out the pain from his mind. He knew he didn't have function of a few body parts, but he simply blocked out the pain. As she slashed at his neck, as well as slashing at his midsection with the blade. To fend this off, he spun the lightsaber in front of him several times. This would mean she would eaither get her own arms cut off from the spin, or back off. Eaither way, her attack would be broken off. Reguardless, after the two spins he would link that with a leg sweeping slash.

"Oh...Great.."

The women merely stopped running, aborting her attack on this man. She was annoyed that her attack was interrupted, but such was the way of battle. Of course he wasn't going to just stand there and let her kill him. She hoped.

So, she'd have to form a new plan. Something a little different to prevent her from getting her arms brutally chopped off by the interestingly made weaponry.

As for the slash that he would try to do to her legs, she would merely back up a few more steps to prevent her from losing her legs. She..Y'know..Kinda needed those.

She suddenly dropped the thumb blade, letting it slide out of her fingers and drop to the ground, creating a small plume of dust that billowed up from the sudden force hitting the dusty ground.
Her left hand now remained empty. She did not lower it to her side, but abrubtly shot it out to her left side. Much like she had done earlier in this battle.

Her arm tensed up, becoming straight as a board, her fingers extended out flat and stiff. Suddenly, much like before, shadows crept up her hand. Though, they didn't creep all the way to her shoulder like they did before, they instead stopped at her wrist.

Suddenly, she shot the shadows straight out, it forming into a ball the size of a semi-large marble. The marble started to deform, and it started shooting out , forming a long stick like shape. Basically, it looked like she was holding a shadow stick. The stick started to take the shape of something more..It started to form a rather sharp looking point at the end.

Suddenly, it would take shape before their very eyes into a shadow sword, much in the same fashion as her Odachi was created. No details about it could be seen, as it was simply a shadow mixed with some energy to make it solid. It was the the length of her Odachi..Or perhaps even a bit longer. Other than that, the hilt was the same length, as well as the guard.

She suddenly shot towards him a few steps, thrusting her real Odachi with her right hand straight towards his heart. Since it was quite a long sword, and he never really specified how long that lightsaber was, she would be safe from the reach of his lightsaber. The Odachi was one of the longest swords in the world, and she was pretty sure his lightsaber was not an Odachi.

At the same time she thrust her real Odachi forward, she also thrusted the shadow sword forward, aiming straight for his stomach. The shadow sword was slightly longer then the Odachi, so it also would have no problem reaching him while she remained out of reach of his sword.

She hoped this impalement, if it actually worked, would end this battle. She was ready for a rest, and she intended to make all her next attacks deadly. She wanted this man dead more than anything. She was not a person of mercy or kindness..She couldn't care less who's life she stole. Perhaps that's what made her most dangerous.

Fas knew the real odachi sword would be easy to block but the shadow sword was most likely the more dangerous of the two. Reguardless, he lept forward and up in the air in the nick of time, the blades passing just under him. He landed behind her and was already moving.

He spun his entire body, holding out the lightsaber as he did, the blow going for just above her pelvic and genital areas, just below her stomache. There were a pair of arteries there that were normally used for...blood flow to the genitals. However, they were still arteries, and if severed, would nearly instantly cause her to black out, due to not only being cut in half but those arteries being severed. This is caused by the artieries spraying her blood like two fire hoses. Eventually, this would cause her death by blood loss. IF it connected.

However, considering how heavy the Odachi the Odachi was, possibly how heavy the shadow blade was, she may not be able to get a weapon around in time. And further, he had landed incredibly close to her, which meant the long weapons may not be able to get to him correctly. The best she could do is whack him with the handles of the blades.

Fas began concentration with Mana. If this connected, it would be fatal almost instantly unless he did something to stop her from dieing. Although, Fas was worried he may not know what to do. He didn't like to kill women for the sake of moving further in a tournament. His opponet had already earned much respect from him, especially for her early counter of his Indignation move.

The blow was incredably fast, the light from the lightsaber leaving a streak in the air from it's speed.

She cursed under her breath when she saw him leap into the air out of range of her attack, though only barely avoiding his doom.
He leapt right over her and as he landed, she heard the soft thud of footsteps hitting the ground behind her. Immediately, she reacted, not enjoying the thought of him being behind her. It was of course, harder to defend against an an attack when it was behind you.

As soon as she heard the very first thud of a foot hitting the ground behind her, her only thought and only concern was getting away from him. She simply dropped the two swords, both of them hitting the ground with a loud clank. The shadow sword melted away into the ground, becoming a mere shadow now and not dangerous in the least.

She abrubtly threw her body down towards the ground, putting both of her hands out in a sort of, cushioning the force of hitting the ground manner, sorta like a push up.

As he spun, the blades would merely pass above her, since she was sprawled out on the ground and far to low for the attack to reach her. As soon as he had missed her, she balanced on her left hand and reached over with her right, grabbing the hilt of her Odachi. As soon as she had fingered the hilt and received a good grip on it, she pushed with her left hand against the ground and threw her body forward, going into a very sloppy roll forward. She landed in a crouched position and abrubtly stood up, already starting her next attack.

Since her opponent would be right about now finishing his spin, he'd be a tad dizzy..Or at least off guard she hoped.
She held out her left hand, the palm facing straight towards him and the fingers extended vertically. Suddenly, that fuzzy grey aura she had around her earlier returned, covering her in a shadowy substance. Her golden eyes once again returned to grey.

Suddenly, four shadowed walls about 40 feet high and 20 feet wide formed around her opponent, putting him in a perfect, square, shadow-box. The box was solid, as she had added quite a large amount of energy into this to make it solid while she was forming it. The loss of energy was not a good thing, but she hoped this would finish him. She was weary, but she all the same respected her opponent, and the thought did cross her mind that he would find someway to survive this attack.
But she could always hope.
She backed up quite a few paces, simply walking right through the walls since the walls didn't affect her at all. She was now standing outside of the walls.

In less than a second, the walls begain their attack. Suddenly, millions of shadow spikes started coming out of the walls, each of them coming straight at him from all directions. He was boxed in, and would have only limited movement. If he tried to break the walls, that would take a while and he would merely get impaled by the spikes. These spikes came from absolutely every inch of that wall, forming and then pulling away and coming straight at him. Also, they came up from beneath his very feet, and above his head. So, the floors, walls, and the ceiling all had spikes coming straight from them and aiming at him from all sides.

Oh, and to add to what may seem like it's bad enough, the walls rapidly started to close in on him, sqooshin' 'im all over the place if they all managed to close in on each other. He was gonna be a pancake if that happened..That is, if he weren't already dead from being impaled by the millions of shadow spikes. She had used quite a bit of energy in this attack, so the more energy she used, the stronger the shadow walls and spikes were. That meant, the harder they were to break.

She simply stood there, her knees shaking and ready to buckle from the sudden release of energy. She panted heavily and looked as though she could collapse.

She didn't really think he could survive something like this..Since this attack was almost impossible to get out of. But, he could always find a way she knew. She could still fight, but she was definitely not at full strength anymore.
She blinked, her head tilted down and her hair hanging past her face. Her eyes stared up from her tilted head, staring at the massive attack that would most likely tear her opponent apart. Hopefully.

He actually continued spinning from the original spin, leaping into the air and spinning like a top in midair, landing behind her before the walls had even begun to form. He was a bit dizzy, but continued spinning behind her, the speed gradually increasing as he spun, as if it was fast enough, as he spun with the lightsaber outstreached, undoubtably within range. As if that wasn't bad enough, he advanced toward her as he spun. This was also a very good defensive move, since it was dangerous to get close enough to get a good hit in, and with the longer blades that could, he could easily adjust the angle of the blade to cut the odachi to peices. His equilibrium was well trained, while normal people whould have fallen over vomiting after this, fas was getting barely dizzy. Of course, after a while, he'd get really dizzy, but it'd take a while.

The plus side of this for his opponet was that she didn't have to waste energy making that attack, yet.

The woman tried to frantically scramble away from the spinning mad-man. He was goin' insane like a freakin' pinwheel of doom all over the place. Her attack was interrupted, which somewhat annoyed her, but oh well. She's just have to form a new attack, or get away from the twirlin' man and form the attack again.
Either way, her prime concern was not getting chopped up.

So, she did the only thing she really could do. As soon as he jumped in the air towards her, she immediately backed up out of range of his spinning attack. She backed up faster than he was advancing towards her, almost doin' a backwards run. He was advancing quickly, so she knew she'd have to do something to cut him off. So, simply turning around and running as hard as she could quite a ways away from the spinnin' top, she merely started up her attack again...Doing the exact same thing as last time.
She wasn't anywhere near him, and the walls once more formed around him, determined to finish the man off.

He sluddenly stopped spinning, a bit dizzy, but he was fine. He then thought in near an instant, and knew exactly what to do. "YGGDRASIL LASER!" Fas put one hand out as the walls began to form. Then, just before they began their attack, as he detected it through slight psionic precognision. He wasn't powerful with many psionics, and this was one of those he wasn't strong with. He had a light precognition that only picked up the most intense dangers before they happened. This was one of those times. He suddenly sent out an intense blast of light energy from his hand, the light energy striking the darkness and exploding violently in an explosion of raw energy. The raw energy would fly at fas, but the beam of light energy hit it before it could get to him. The light energy pushed the raw energy along with it. Fas had angled his blast so that AFTER it went through the wall it would continue toward her. As soon as the explosion occored, fas had flown forward, through the hole, the explosion singeing him slightly, but not doing much more damage, as the walls continued their attack without him there. Fas floated high in the air as he watch the light beam come at her at a high rate of speed, panting again from the energy output. Fas had a huge amout of energy at his disposal however. It took alot to drain it all. However, he was still feeling the effects, as he watched the energy continue toward her, along with the raw energy that was being push along with it.

Fas grinned. He was still in this thing, and he doubted she would be able to move fast enough to get out of the path of the beam, due to her massive energy output.

PostPosted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 1:12 pm

It was somewhat of a shock to her that he could blast a hole in the monsterous wall, let alone even conjure up the energy to form a blast powerful enough to do so.
As the giant beam of energy advanced rapidly towards her, she immediately dropped her attack, the shadow walls dissolving into nothing.
The beam of light was moving at a tremendous speed that would not be easy to dodge.
She really didn't have much of an option, since she couldn't move out of the way of such a massive thing fast enough. So, the only thing she could really do for now would be to cushion the blow.

She abrubtly shot her right hand out straight to the side, the dark aura still around her. Once more...She would have to rely on the shadow shield.
It was a pity that she had to waste some more energy, but she had an idea.
The aura shot out, forming a wall in front of her that was about 6 feet wide and 20 feet tall.
The light beam hit the shield with an incredible force of raw energy and light energy. The shield shattered, and the woman was burned slightly from the attack. The shield had blocked the worst of it, but her arms were slightly burnt up, and a hole was burnt in one of her gloves.
She gritted her teeth and went on the offensive once more, not caring even a bit about her injuries.

After the effects of the light beam had passed, she simply reformed the aura around her, despite how little energy she currently possessed.
Folding her arms in front of her, her fingers interlocked and her head tilted towards the ground, eyes closed, she would begin her next move in a split second, before her opponent would even be able to react. Within a second, her body turned completely shadow-ish.
She had grown tired of this opponent and decided it was time to move on.
Mustering up her remaining strength, she began.

Her opponent was up in the air currently..So..Well..He'd better watch his head. What she meant by this was, a massiiiiiiive wall of darkness had formed above him, towering high into the sky. The wall was solid, and it would take hours to blast through with light. It stretched from one end of the arena to the other. Also, he might not wanna land either..Since..
Well..The woman can easily manipulate shadows..Even shadows she can't see. She simply manipulated the darkness from beneath the ground and forced it up, it tearing a massive hole in the ground and basically ripping the entire ground to shreds..So..There really was no ground anymore. She wasn't even standing on the ground..What she was standing on, was a shadow platform..Just a circular solid shadow platform capable of holding only one person. It was just floating there, above the massive pit where the ground used to be. The pit easily descended more than 20 feet, and anyone who free fell in it would surely be dead if they hit the bottom.
Also, the sides of the arena were covered in shadow walls, very thick and also difficult to break. Before her opponent would really have any time to react, the shadow walls began doing something. The shadow ceiling above his head rapidly shot downwards, as if she just let if fall and wasn't controlling it anymore. It would hit her opponent and push him downwards, and if he tried to blast through it and fly up, the walls that he would blast away would simply keep regenerating and it would take him hours to blast through, since the walls were so tall. By that time, he would run out energy and have to fall. Either way, he'll be falling.
Anyways, this shadow ceiling would continually force him downwards towards the pit where the ground used to be, eventually even forcing him past 20 feet. Also, if he tried to attack her in anyways, she merely put a shadow barrier in front of her shadow platform, making it very thick. Oh! And to add to this, the shadow walls on the side of the arena were doing there usual thing..Shooting millions of shadow spikes at him from all directions. So, even if he somehow manages to keep blasting through the ceiling constantly wearing slowly away at it and stay away from the pit, he'll still get impaled, since these shadow spikes just continuously keep pouring out of the walls.

Fas glanced around at all the darkness. He was getting rather tired of this darkness, and decided to simply get rid of it all. He placed his hands together and concentrated, his wings glowing a bit brighter. This move would cost him little energy due to his angelic blood. "DEVINE JUDGEMENT!" Upon saying that, another circle appeared across the ground, despite the hole, it just floated where the ground used to be, as well as under her feet. Suddenly, large beams of holy energy fell from the skies. This was much different than light energy in mana ways, although the name put it simply enough. The first beam of holy energy would strike the cealing just as it finished forming, before the walls could form. Normal light energy would cause a explosion of raw energy at this point, and cause little damage, as she said. However, holy energy was different. Holy energy cut through dark energy like a hot knife through butter. Therefore, as the beam struck the wall, it burned it's way through it amazingly fast, streaking down and around fas, before going down into the pit, burning through any darkness in the pit and exploding if it hit bottom. It also left leftover holy energy floating in the air. As the walls began forming, there would already be multiple holes in the cealing, as well as the leftover holy energy along the walls of each hole keeping it from reforming. Further, each hole began getting bigger and bigger as the holy energy actually act it's way through the darkness. By the time the walls formed, the cealing would be nearly non existant. Of course, as the cealing would fall, Fas didn't even move, as the very first blast had shot down directly on top of him through the cealing, thus making a hole wide enought o protect him...even though there was hardly any cealing left. As the shadow spikes shot forward, they would meet the holy energy in the air almost instantly, and almost seemed to be incinerated by it, being nothing by the time they would have reached Fas. The rays of holy energy rained continuously, quite a few striking the walls not that the cealing would be basically gone, although the walls weren't taking as much damage. However, the holy energy continually ate away at the walls after each strike, and besides, the walls were basically useless since the holy energy leftover in the air would destroy any spikes that attempted to get to fas. By now the entire stadium was filled with holy energy, the walls and cealing barely existing anymore. Soon, the holy energy would completely fill the area and prevent any more darkness use...as if it wasn't useless now anyways. A few rays of holy light would strike her platform, none being quite able to reach her directly. However, he plat form was being slowly destroyed, the holy energy eating away at it. Soon enough it would be gone, and she would fall into her own trap. The circle that floated above the hole really had no purpose except looking fancy, as well as showing the area that the rays could fall into, which was basically the whole areana. Through all this, Fas simply floated gently in the air, flapping his wings as he smirked, her entire attack useless. The holy energy would also obviously burn through her sheild with ease, still able to get to her platform.

Even if the walls and cealing had formed simultainously, the first blast fell before the shadow spikes were fired, that first blast went around fas, covering the area on and around him in holy energy, keeping him from damage.

"Give up miss...I don't want to have to kill you..." He said simply, blinking a few times. He had tremendous respect for her, as well as her skill, and didn't want to kill someone that strong. Plus, he was rather worried about her, since her entire body had been turned into shadow, and if she moved around in this form she would be incinerated by the holy energy in the air. Therefore, she would at least have to go back to a organic form to be able to fight back, althogh he doubted she could due to being over a deep pit, with her only saving grace being a platform that was slowly dissolving, as well as her lack of energy. Still, Fas didn't want to have to kill her to win...

The woman was not stupid and she of course knew that as soon as the giant circle appeared above the black pit, he had thought of a way out of her attack. This meant, there was no point in expending valued energy. So, she abrubtly shot her hand out, the dark walls vanishing as well as the spikes. Though, the ceiling still remained in place. The shadows from down in the pit started hastily pushing the chunks of ground that had fallen down there from her manipulation of the ground upwards, back towards the surface. The shadows simply pulled the ground back into place, forming the ground where it once was again. She sighed, finally allowing the shadow ceiling and the dark aura around her to drop. Now, she's simply be herself again, watching quite a few light beams fall here and there around the Arena. Obviously, this light energy was different than what she had observed before, since it even had a different feel to it than the light he had previously used.
She sighed, figuring out that it would be kinda hard to use her darkness now that that holy crap was floatin' around everywhere. She shrugged. She didn't really think she'd need darkness to beat him, since she had many physical skills that could undoubtably beat him. If..She used them right. Then again, she might just be underestimating her opponent. Either way, she still wanted him dead.
She shrugged and watched him simply float there in the air, using those..'Wings' of his to hover above the ground.

"Advance towards me, if you can. I will eliminate you."

These odd words were her way of saying he should attack her next, since she was tired of offense and was ready to do a little defense. She stood there, waiting for the prey to land.

He floated down gently, landing gently but not retracting his wings, their beautiful colors glaming gently. He sheathed Leinguard slowly as she spoke, then hled out one hand, and something began to form together.

As it finished forming, it's appearance was obvious. In the middle was a bright red shaft for gripping the weapon, made of some unknown material. On each end were three blades. One stuck directly out of the end of the pole, the other two came out of the sides of the pole just a bit below the main blade, curving backward toward the middle of the grip. All six blades (three on each end) were razor sharp on all sides. Each side and the tip were all razor sharp. Jewels covered the blades, just like Leinguard's blade.

This was Fas best weapon. The Deathseeker Lance, Lance Of Enders. Normally he would assume he had the upper hand, now that the Deathseeker was in play, but now he wasnt quite as sure, considering the amount of Heart and Skill his opponet had. He blinked gently at her, flapping his wings for a moment. "...Excellent. I'm glad it's come to this. No bullshit, just skill."

And with that, he dashed toward her, pushing off with one foot on the initial charge, and it was obvious after a moment that he was flying at running speed. This was Fas' style that useually allowed him to overwhelm his opponets with his mobility and speed, as well as floating in air made him much harder to hit. As he flew forward, he darted toward her left side, suddenly changing direction again and heading for her right side, attempting to psyche her out. Obviously he didn't think she was stupid enough to fall for this, but it was still done just in case she slipped up somehow.

As he neared her right side he suddenly swung the weapon with tremendous force and speed, the powerful concoction of bloods in his veins made him quite the fighter, besides his skills. Fas considered activating the Tassle, but decided against it, and simply wanted to have a nice melee battle with her.

She simply blinked, a blank expression remaining on her face as she saw an interesting weapon appear in his hands.

"How annoying.."

She had to admit, she was ready for a bit of sword play rather than all this ability crap, but she was still ready for rest.
Oh well, she would keep going for as long as it took her 'til she destroyed him.
As soon as he dashed towards her, she reacted, not allowing him to get close as this point.
She abrubtly reached into her pocket, pulling two small daggers out. Well, they were sorta like daggers, but both ends were sharpened and the hilt of the dagger was in between both sharpened ends.
She held one in each hand, waiting for him to get within a certain range..Waiting..
Suddenly, when she felt the time was right, she threw them at him, bending her wrist in an odd way to add more force to the throw. The dagger she held in her right hand, it's target was his left wing. The dagger in her left hand, its target was his right wing. She hoped to injure both of his wings with this move, both daggers flying at the speed of sound towards him.
Anyways, it'd be kinda hard for him to dodge these daggers since they were solid steel and light wouldn't deflect them. Plus, they're moving so fast and he's moving fast straight into the attack, so since he's putting a lot of force into going forward, it's going to be hard for him to just stop and divert his direction to get away from these daggers in time.

Fas noticed the weapons, keeping them in mind as he came closer, then suddely shot forward with an even greater speed, turning in the air so that his gut faced the ground and his wings and back faced the sky. He flowed perfectly form one move to the next, and he spun clockwise, the daggers shooting by him and completely missing. By now he would almost be right on her, and used the momentum from the spin to link it to a slash at her neck, the momentum speeding up an already powerful slash so that it nearly broke the sound barrier. All this would happen in the course of 2 to 5 seconds, giving Raine barely enough time to defend.

Ah dang, it didn't work.
Oh well, it was worth a shot.
She had a bit more to worry about right now than the fact that her attack had missed..Such as..Not getting her head whacked off.
That was never good..

2-5 seconds was plenty of time for somebody as who had her agility and suppleness.
As the slash would go for her neck, she would merely bend backwards, sorta matrix style, bending as far back that a mere human would fall backwards. She on the other hand, had trained until she could master bending back so far that her head almost touched the ground while she was still standing on her feet.
The slash would simply go right past her, to which she would immediately bend back to her normal posture, the Odachi in her right hand thrusting forward towards him as she bent back up, attempting to impale him right below the diaphragm and on the right side of his upper abdomen, which would basically hit his liver. He kinda needed that to live..So he might wanna move if he didn't want to die.
Though, she didn't stop there with a simple attempt at impalement of her opponent.
While she thrusted the sword towards him with her right hand, her left hand was automatically moving into position for a simple punch to his right eye, enough force being put into this punch to at least give him a black eye.

Fas continued with the original momentum used for the slash at her neck, going even faster than the first slash, adjusting the Deathseeker's angle so it would strike her blade as it came up to stab him, as well as possibly cut off her hand, unless she pulled back from the punch, the force was enough to knock the weapon out of a normal person's hand, and would hopefully knock her off balence for a moment. He continued to spin for a moment, suddenly dropping down and supporting his entire body with his free hand and his wings, letting his momentum carryn his legs into a leg sweep at high speed. If it connected, it would knock her legs out from under her, and effectively stop his momentum. Once she hit the ground...Well, we'll get to that later.
