Yeah, I think it's different.
Bad translations sucks. Sometimes they horribly completly change the name of the movie.

A example is "The Ring". It's like "The call" or "The Calling" here in Brazil. I hate it.

Yeah, could be that. But couldn't at the same time. Because it's not that tipe of call. It's similar to "Hey! Luisito!" call, get it? But still, it's hard to explain.
