(dies... did you read my brain, and my plots for jasmines birthday)
"My address I believe is in your pocket." He snickers. "On the directions I gave you..."
He pictures postal stamps sticking to his snout, and snorts. "No, I'm not a postal person. My luck I'd mail myself on accident instead of the letter." He was being honest, he didn't understand the mail system. And licking something other than something edible (or Jasmine) just didn't seem his pot of tea.
Rhine went back to his room. He should have just unpacked everything, for all the times he'd dug through the boxes, and put it back up it would have saved him time and trouble. For two boxes, there was a lot of JUNK.
He returned, and held out a mirror duplicate to his. For the God's his mother would kill him for this one. "Break it never, or for ever you can never turn back." He breathed deeply, chiming his mothers words.
"Mirror of Me, Mirror of you..." He paused looking into her eyes. "Chant your place, and there you'll be Flower. Given there is a mirror, I end up in a lot of bath tubs." He ran a hand through his hair almost laughing.
"Seriously, never leave this out of your site, for if it is dropped you can never return the realm its broken in. That means if it breaks in Gaia you must either retreat to the island, or to earth... Never to look back." He paused. "Your first chant seals the magical contract between you and the will of the mirror." He put it into her hands.

Jasmine blinks at him when he replies, then casts her eyes down to her pocket for a second before glaring up at him. She sticks her tongue out at him, "Yeah, but that's not everything you need to send mail, you know." She pulls the paper out of her pocket and examines it, "But I suppose it's enough to try to convince Nya to bring you some mail or something.."
Small flying creatures are easier than the postal service, after all. Maybe Nya wouldn't mind.
"Well, you have to learn, don't you?" she grins at him when he says he'd mail himself, "You said you wanted to live the gaia way, didn't you?" She's finishing her sentence even as Rhine is off to his room to get her the mirror.
"What-?" She looks at the mirror as if it's not only breakable but something of immeasurable value. Jasmine looks from the mirror to Rhine when he says she's ended up in a lot of tubs, wrinkling her nose in a silent laugh.
"What?" she looks back from Rhine to the mirror when he explains why it's ever so important not to break it, "If it breaks, how to you get somewhere else? Why can't you stay?" She looks back to Rhine, a little concerned about the idea. But surely she could keep a mirror safe..

"The mirror reforms itself, but in that same room another mirror breaks." He shrugged his shoulders. "My mother was 150 when she broke her's on Earth." He said it causually. "She's told us the story a hundred times. She looked about the earth age of 6. A man handed her the mirror, she never knew of the island then, or the power it possed. It was accidental, her first time holding the mirror." He looked at Jasmine. "Fleeing for life as she put it. Not that Earth maters to her now, being 450 years old... I supose after a time she learned to live without it. Then again she is the islands will, so she cannot leave for than an hours time."
Rhine streatched, and watched Jasmine. "I've used it to go places, and see things. I've never dared earth. I've even ended up in my best friends closet for a liquor raid." He blinked a few times, hardly believing he'd just said such a thing. He breathed deep hoping it wouldn't lead to what happened when he got drunk, he couldn't lie to her if she asked.

Jasmine listens carefully to what Rhine says, looking occasionally back to the small mirror in her hands as he explains. His mother had broken a mirror on Earth, so she couldn't go back, and now she has the Island. At least this dragon is being given a good warning, she will certainly be careful with the mirror!
"I know," she says, when he says he's gone places with the mirror. Of course, she doesn't KNOW, but from what she's seen before it doesn't surprise her. Her eyes move back to Rhine.
"Well, I don't know b-" she is cut off when Rhine says he used a mirror to get liquor, and she raises an eyebrow, "You broke into a closet for alcohol? Why?"

"Me and Renor wanted to celebrate. He'd learned to change, and I had gotten a job." He paused.
"He was home alone for a couple hours, and well two boys went wild with alcohol." It was too late, it had slipped. He snorted, was wild even the best way to describe what they'd done in the tub.
He added quickly. "Something never tried, something I don't think we'd do again." He was unconsciously rubbing his back side as he thought of what he'd done to Renor in drunken pleasure.

"Renor?" she asks, not letting him finish before saying anything, "I haven't seen him since he was a very small.." Her mind drifts back to when she'd met the boy, he was so shy! She sent him that pink fuzz bug thing for Christmas, hadn't she? Celebration doesn't seem like a bad thing, but alcohol.. she'd never had the slightest urge to have alcohol, despite any brief "don't do it" conversation her mother had had with her.
When he continues, though, her eyebrow shoots up again. She just gives him a funny look for a second before her eyes move to his hands- which makes what he is saying perfectly clear. Beyond clear. . . too clear, even.
"What?!" she gasps finally, after his quick addition. Her eyes dart right back up to his. Her expression is hard to read, though the most evident part of it is confused and surprised.

Rhine catches her eye, and then walks to his bed room retrieving his diary. He puts it in her hands. "Last Entry." He pauses. "Concern yourself not with my guilty pleasures, it won't happen again." He repeats it, much to the same effect when she held the diary before.
"If your curious what alchol does to me, I'll drink in front of you... Other wise I have no plans on drinking again." He paused. "Unless of course I lock myself up in a room with no one else."

Jasmine crosses her arms, not looking angry but not looking pleased. She takes the diary from him when it's offered to her, but doesn't open it- does she really want to read it? Maybe it's not what she's thinking. Maybe she's worse than her mother for thinking such things first. She shudders at the thought, an action which can easily be mistaken for a shudder at something else..
She finally looks down to the diary and opens it, flipping through the book to find the page that was written on last. Every couple of pages, she happens to see her own name and takes a second to read whatever it says. But she does not linger long at each stop.
When looking for the entry, she hadn't looked up to Rhine once, but when she finds the one she's looking for she does take a quick look at Rhine before lowering her eyes to read. The writing is vague, but not so vague that it isn't clear what he's talking about.
So she did get the right idea first. And what hits her first is that their mothers perhaps were not at fault for how they reacted, they had reason to think what they did, though they could have been less accusing..
Then her mind is drawn back to the situation at hand by the sparkle of her ring in the corner of her eye, from on the page of the diary- for she'd been following the words with her hand. She glances back up at Rhine silently, considering what he's said.
"So," she says carefully, chosing her words with the greatest care, "Renor doesn't mean anything to you?"

Rhine came behind her, sweeping her off her feet. One hand under two knees, one hand under two elbows. He carries her to the sofa. Laying her down soft as possible, she's pinned; although, not in the dirtiest of positions.
He's so close that you feel his heart beating four times faster than normal. His lips close to her ear, whispering. "If your asking me, then perhaps you need showing." He then moves his face at an angle that their lips meet. He kisses her with every once of passion he has for her.

Jasmine turns her head when she notices that Rhine is not directly infront of her, but rather on his way around her. She yelps when she is suddenly swept off of her feet and taken over to the couch and pinned down.
This is not an answer to her question.
She can in fact feel his heart beat, and the whisper gives her mixed feelings from the first word. Her first reaction when he angles his face and kisses her, however, is to kiss him back.

Rhine broke it swiftly as he started, and leaned back on his hands as he sat on the floor. "Renor means nothing to me."
Rhine looked up the ceiling. "If I had know that mixing alcohol with my hormones would cause me not to be able to control myself..." He paused wondering if that even came out right. "I would have never touched it in the first place.
"You would know I cannot always control myself if you read that diary for every page. That is why I learned to lock my door. Every time I think of you, it sends ever sense of mine south."
He wondered how deep this hole was going. "You'd also know from that diary that I never had intentions of touching you, till it was what we both wanted because I wanted it to be for love not lust."
Rhine snorted. "Renor was nothing but a lustful moment where I couldn't control myself between thoughts of alcohol and getting off. He was there instead of my hand."
He rolled over, and stormed off, embarrassed at himself, and how much he'd just rambled.

Jasmine comes back to her senses a second before Rhine breaks the kiss, and had he not she certainly would have. Her expression is not a pleased one, and it doesn't look any happier when he says Renor means nothing to him- in fact, it looks a little less pleased.
"Then wh-"
She doesn't get to say what she wants to because Rhine keeps talking. And when he finishes, there's nothing fitting to say right away, so she just stays quiet and watches him with narrowed eyes while he continues trying to explain himself. Her expression remains constant the entire time, despite the sensitive information that she is getting.
When he rolls over and storms off she stays on the couch for a moment, but then she gets up and heads out of the living room and right out of the house. Wherever Rhine went, he can hear the sound of the door closing behind her.
She's going home. Right now.
And she's left the mirror behind, though whether that's intentional is arguable.
