((hokey kokey thankyous ^-^!))

Fritillaria found herself alone in their bone made den when she awoke. She was frightened for a moment wandering where her sister had gone. Her scent was fresh though so lifting her nose she followed the familiar smell. She and her sister smelt alot alike. It came from being together alot obviously. She was easy to follow easy to track and she soon came on the fresh trail leading to the exceedingly large skull structure.

The elephants skull loomed over everything and she was amazed in to a mute facination as she rounded the corner only to have her sences bombarded by lots of hyenas!

Her ears flattened against her head and she dropped to her belly. There was a huge female hyena there. She was masive and Frit knew in that instant she was looking at a much older much wiser female even than her own mother. Creeping forwards she slipped up next to her sister and touched her shoulder with her nose before addressing the large alpha. "I hope I'm not interrupting" She whispered her voice a respectful mur her perfect blue eyes settled respectfully obediently upon Mafa. She stayed low to the ground grovelling almost though her ears flickered a little. She wished to remain respectful to the elder femme but she couldn't help but stare in awe of her as well. A real hyena. Thats all that went through her mind. Mafa was a true pack leading hyena, she was beautiful and strong and healthy. Their mother and father had never told them of anything like this. She felt so happy. She just hoped that the big femme would let them stay. She wanted to learn from this lady the queen of the graveyard.

If he hadn't been right in front of Mafa, he would have jumped out of his skin when the new hyena poped seemingly out of nowhere, but he stayed firm, when she appeared all he did was turn his head sharply toward her, this was obviously Schatz's sister, they looked so much alike. Though the newer one didn't have skeleton-like markings on her. Just a black stripe down her back.

Fritilliaria was even more submissive than her sister, flat against the ground, but he knew Mafa liked submissiveness, so she would be fine. He looked at her, "Ah, you must be Schatz's sister then?" He said to her, "She just mentioned you." He added, still keeping an eye on Angaza. Mabozi wasn't really the "try a fast one" type, but he was still a bit concerned about what Angaza might be thinking of doing.

"Knyuckknyuck!"

Mabozi blabbed something and then errupted into a fit of childish giggles. He had already forgotten his name, but he liked this zoo hyena. Yeah, zoo hyena. Mabozi grinned brightly and proudly, he had remembered the older hyena's name: Zoo. The pup giggled again, wagging his whispy tail, feeling extremely proud of himself. He simply reveled in all of this attention, it was more than he could ever ask for. No other hyena really seemed to pay attention to him at all, and having a new companion in 'Zoo' was quite favorable to the mindless young prince.

"MaMa sa's I 'ill. She sa's tha o'ce I'm ol' and strong, we cen go kill lio's tagetha!" At this point, Mabozi lowered his voice so only Angaza could hear him, he didn't want his mother thinking him a coward; he wasn't that dumb. " Cep', I dunno ef I cen do et, coz lio's is sca'y, Does tha' e'er seen one, 'Oo?"

Mabozi gulped at the thought of seeing a grown lion. He'd seen cubs, and was right terrified of them, a full grown beast was beyond his own imagination. Mafa had always warned him about how he shouldn't go near them until he was older or he'd be torn apart heartlessly. And he damn well believed his mother.

Mafa narrowed his icy eyes, watching Angaza and her son closely out of the corner of her eye. But after a while, the female lost interest and turned back to the pups. It was then that yet another little female crept up into the scene. Mafa eyed her carefully as she snuck up to other female. It clicked in her mind that this must be the sister that had been spoken of. Mafa rose her head tall in a show of dominance. This pup was a submissive one, and Mafa liked it. In fact, all of these submissive, respectful pups put her in quite a good mood. They were not just eager to please, but loyal, respective, and looked at her with eyes that told her that they thought the world of the alpha. Mafa hadn't felt prouder in a long, long time... Not that she'd say anything about it. This is what she had always dreamed a pack was like as a young pup: complete adoration for the alpha. Was it so much to ask for? Mafa decided to keep her good manners on, as to not scare the pups off just yet; she'd lay down the rules soon enough.

"The sister then? I see, can't say I've caught your names. I'm hoping you'll join us as well?"

Angaza smirked to Mabozi.

"Weeeell, that's good. Size and strength are good for survival, if you can't be fast." Angaza remained sitting, tail twitching calmly. He knew he was being watched, and he had escape routes. Nothing to worry about, though he had a hunch he'd have the Alpha and the blue and two female pups on him if he wasn't fast. Luckily, speed was his best asset.

"Lions? Yeah, I've seen 'em. Big kitty cats." Angaza looked nostalgic, but respected the pet's whispering as he whispered back.

"Eat like a warthog, and their huge beasts. Two leggers seem to love em."

Angaza remained quiet, tone low so it was a private conversation.

"Me, I could care less. Unless I'm eatin', I don't bother 'em, and they don't bother me. An' trust me, lions are BIG."

Angaza stood as tall as he could, holding a paw up. He'd near lions well enough to know their size, and used his paw to indicate, voice still low.

"See, it takes a pack to handle one lion, cause this is how big most are at the shoulder." Angaza lowered his paw. Then he grinned at Mabozi.

"Always remember to keep your ears and eyes alert for escapes if need be, kiddo. A keen mind helps all physical assets. S' what m' ma used to say."

Fritillaria lifted her head when she was addressed by the alpha but ony a touch, her feathery tail twitched back and forwards in a wag. "My name is Fritillaria ma'am but everyone usually calls me frit, my sister here is Schatz" The striped hyenas voice was quiet but confident. She wished to remain respectful to the alpha, to be in the pack but she didn't wish to be seen as a wimp or a weakling. She was not. She was less abrasive than her sister certainly but that didn't make her less brave she simply liked to think every little thing through before she did it.

"We have heard so much of your graveyard Ma'am our father sent us here" she smiled her tail still wagging her perfect blue eyes fixed upon the alpha in the manner of one looking upon a great figure a monolyth in her little life.

Frits ears twitched towards the other older hyena she was curious were they a part of the pack too? She would find out soon enough no doubt right now she had to wait and see what the Alpha would do. "We would much like to join your pack ma'am we have travelled a long way to be with you here" she whispers, lay on the butter thick and be respectful of the alpha. How could she not respect such a figure? Mafa was something amazing simply to look at she had no doubt that the alpha was a brilliant leader and as such she would follow willingly. The things such a hyena could teach her her and her sister boggled the mind. The graveyard was turning out to be just as their father had described, no it was even better, she had not expected such a creature as mafa exsisted a figure to respect and truely admire.

Yakuti smiled, ignoring the little mostly one-way conversation between Angaza and Mabozi. Not that it mattered, he wouldn't have been able to hear them if he tried.

He looked at Frit, who was still on the ground explaining herself to Mafa. He ran over all their names in his head to make sure he knew them all, Mafa, Frit, Schatz, Mabozi, Angaza, yeah, that was all of them.

The sisters seemed to think that Mafa would lead them completely, they seemed oblivious to the fact that they were mostly on their own. Well, they would find out soon enough.

User ImageSince the birth of Mafa's pup and the intrusion of that female lioness right at the critical moment Rasuli had redoubled his patroling efforts. This had two reasons behind it; one was to give Mafa some space. Rasuli knew the death of the female pup wasn't going to put her in the best of moods and perhaps she needed time with her remaining son. Second was to make sure no other lions thought of doing the same trick and wandering into the heart of their territory again.

But now after a few weeks he was being to wonder about his alpha. Surely she'd be alright by now, and probably wondering where he'd got to. And he'd not seen any lions attempting to break in further, which was a good sign. Better still was the fact that he'd run into that other young female hyena, Frit. He was looking forward to introducing her, if not her sister as well, to Mafa. But first to find her.

It was a surprise then, when he came closer to Mafa's lair, to see a whole bunch of hyena sitting around. He crept closer, not wanting to be seen until he had sussed out the situation. To his dismay and subsiquent anger, Frit was there with another similar young female, presumably her sister. They'd gone found Mafa without him?! He'd get none of the credit now. Credit he rightly deserved. Hmph!

Rasuli made his entrance from around behind Mafa's den. He made sure he stood taller than the young pups but lower than Mafa (not that he actually could stand taller than the full grown adult female). The other adult male was taller than him too, so there wasn't much he could do about that. He did however give off the presence of one with a higher position. "Hello Mafa." He spoke humbly to her and took his place (which he prided) at her side.

"Frit?" He then spoke as if only just seeing her there. "You didn't wait for me to introduce you to my alpha?" He was genuinely disappointed by that but tried not to let it show.

Fritillaria was quite surprised when an older looking rasuli showed up. She smiled widely her tongue lolling and her ears pinning back. Her tail wagged and she smiled at the older male. He really was quite dashing! She was very taken for a pup with the big, up high male.

However when he spoke and sounded quite upset she almost folded in to herself "I'm sorry I..i really didn't know I was coming here I just followed Schatz" She nodded her head at her sister and smiled at him. Had she upset the big male by simply following he sister? She hoped not he was the first real hyena she had met.

Mabozi's eyes grew wide. Big kitty cats, he didn't believe it. They were monsters. MONSTERS! His whispy tail curled halfway around his lanky puppy legs, head tilting up to the older hyena,

"I 'unno, they's soun'in' not 'oo goo'..."

His usual excited, hyper tone faded into a more serious and confused one as his eyes glazed over at the thought of the lions. He didn't want to face one anytime soon, though he knew his mother would force it soon.

Though this glazed look soon faded as a new hyena appeared on the scene. Mabozi sat up with a lash of his tail as it started wiggling around in excitement. Who was this new hyena, sitting next to his mother none the less! He didn't want to run up to the new hyena, seeing as he was close to his mother; best not get between her and her high ranking pals, he knew that. He simply stood there, shaking from excitement, trying his very hardest to contain himself.

Fritillaria and Schatz, what a pair. But none the less, they would be accpeted among the hyenas here. As Frit spoke, Mafa could help but lifting her head up in pride, these two sure knew how to flatter. She nodded to them solemnly,

"Join the pack, or course, I wouldn't expect anything else. You two will grow to be great warriors here with us, that I can guarantee you"

Mafa's eyes widened with an expectant gaze at the two females. Yes, they'd grow big, they'd grow strong. So far, Mafa was the only worthy female around, making her the powerhouse of the group, these two would join her in time. Thoughts of the future put Mafa into generally good spirits, especially when the future looked hopefull.

And then yet again, another hyena walked into the group. Mafa did not recognize him immediately, but it only took her a few seconds to pin point who it was. None other than Rasuli, her favorite of all the males around here. She had considered him as a son of sorts ever since she found him all those months ago, and he was turning out to be much more successful than Mabozi could ever hope to be. Perhaps she'd have to pair the two, have Rasuli teach Bozi a few lessons on what a hyena is really like. Mafa remained silent as Rasuli adressed her and then the little pup. Her stiff gaze softened slightly as the adolescent spoke, seeing his subtle dissapointment,

"Didn't expect to see you around Rasuli, I see you've been holding your own quite nicely. You know this little one?"

Mafa was quite glad to see Rasuli, but her outer reflections didn't show it, other than the change in her gaze. It wasn't much, but surely Rasuli would appreciate the recognition.

She could just feel herself fill with pride. They were part of a pack! A real pack! And the alpha had good expectations for them, to boot! Her tail wagging a bit, Schatz bowed her head. "You will not be dissapointed." Her deep blue eyes turned towards Rasuli. So her sister knew him...? Well, he sat well with the alpha... He was okay, then, for a man-creature.

Angaza frowned to himself. He could tell he wouldn't remain here-- primarily, it seemed, this pack of wild ones were a bit screw loose. Or just nasty tempered. Mabozi... Heh, Alpha's pup or not, well, he was alright to Angaza. He glanced at the boy's comment.

"Of course lions aren't that great. Egos you know." The adult stood, eying the new hyena, as well as the area around him.

Never turn your back on an Alpha. Most will kill you for it.

Better to live. The hyena prepared to move back. After all, this was their pack's business, and unlike the pups, he remained an outsider. He didn't care so much -- he never knew that do do about the wild hyenas at the zoo.

"All I see 'em good for is killing food. Live off what they leave. Best bits, cause they haven't got the sense to finish a meal. Wasteful."

Indeed, the hyena had learned quickly once he had been turned wild to not waste or he'd starve. Quietly, he oved backwards until he was half obscured by a dust cloud, and sat, watching the pack talk.

Atleast for now he might possibly eventually leave unscathed? But who knew what this alpha was capable of. He knew the scent of mistrust. It was better to remain ready to flee for now.

Yakuti looked at the new arrival, Rasuli. Mafa had mentioned him, and now he knew who he was. He looked at him, he knew Frit? He seemed a bit dissapointed for not getting them to Mafa first, perhaps he had wanted more credit... But too late now, Yakuti was still new to the pack and wanted to prove himself, while Rasuli was obviously high up in the pack already. Yakuti needed credit more than he did.

"Hello Rasuli, I've heard about you, my name is Yakuti." He said, bowing his head to him. "I joined the pack just recently."

"I have Mafa." He replied, turning to look at her rather than Frit. "I went to partrol around the full circle of the graveyard. After that lioness slinked in I didn't want any others getting ideas." At least now he'd explained his whereabouts, and surely they'd be to her liking. Unfortunatly it meant he'd missed out on meeting some of these new arrivals.

"I have met Frit, not too long ago. I told her she should meet you, but I had planned to introduce her and her sister to you myself. Looks like they had the initiative to come themselves." Rasuli said, not wanting to lose any credit but not wanting to sound whiney in front of his alpha either. He didn't know Yakuti had led Schatz here.

In fact, he didn't know Yakuti at all. He looked at the blue pup, vaguely aware of his shuffling about. The respect was something of a pleasant surprise and he smirked to himself. "Welcome Yakuti. And who's the last one?" He looked over at the other adult male present.

Fritillaria looked up at Rasuli. She almost pouted but she didn't want to look foolish and too cubbish before the allmighty alpha. Her tail wagged and she smiled "Rasuli was very kind to me ma'am he showed me the watering hole and said nothing but great things about you and the pack." She let her tongue loll in a pretty happy manner for a moment watching the two elders with admireing eyes. She was impressed to say the least Rasuli must be very high ranked to stand so closely to the alpha, and she knew him! Joining this pack was more than she even imagined. Would Mafa train them? She would do what ever the alpha asked, more so if it meant being around Rasuli he was her first friend out here she didn't want to loose him because of a mistake. she hoped he would just be pleased that the alpha had accepted her and her sister in to the pack.

Ear flick. So he was being discussed. Hmph. Pups. Well he was that Alpha's, so if he planned to escape he better answer. He decided to try to sneak away once attention was fully off of him, but her remained in his mist.

"Angaza." Was all he said. He remained slightly away. The less he said the sooner he could escape. After all, it was dangerious when one was unwelcome.
