Much of the same thing could be said for nothing, and everything. However, after close scrutiny, they appear to be the same thing.

Actually, nothing and everything is not quite the same as never and always. Nothing is included in everything. (A rather abstract example) Meaning if one has everthying they must also have nothing, this is because nothing is a something.

Nothing is defined as the absence of anything and all things at one time.
Everything is defined as the any and all things all existing simultaneously.

Nothing is included in everything because if it is not, then there can be no such thing as everything because nothing does not exist.

Nothing does not exist because if it did, everything could not exist. Since nothing does not exist, everything does not exist.

The constant interchanging of words is making me sick... sad

Anyway, If I wanted to, I could disprove that we exist with words. Words are a tricky thing. They confirm we are here to other people and yet they can do the complete opposite.

Actually, try as you might, you cannot disprove the existence of anything. The most you can do is come to an inconclusive conclusion on the existence of anything other than yourself.

Physical reality is proved inconclusive upon the usage of Cartesian Skepticism.

I have a thread entitled Cartesian Skepticism, if you don't know what it is.

I know what it is. I jut don't understand understanding it. Oh, God, I'm doing that thing with the double words! Oh well... stare I like believing in the things I believe because of how thoroughly I believe them and how no matter what the things set in stone by my God can't seem to be proven wrong. Warm and fuzzy. 3nodding

So, you like blind obedience then?

I'm sure it's not, but the end of the post clearly emphasizes that inference.

Thank you, Schildkrote, for not twisting what I was saying. If anyone will read the freewill or destiny post you will see that I think people are responsible for their own actions because we have freewill. I have the free will to be obedient to a God that has rules laid out that will protect me. Is it so wrong to be protected. This is what I believe. The things set in stone by God protect me. Follow them, get protected, get love, get joy. I'm clearly not mindless, because anyone with a mind would see that those things are better than no love, no joy, and no protection.

I was, in no way, twisting what you were saying. If you would have read my reply to Schildkrotes, you would have noticed, that I, in no way thought that you were trying to imply blind obedience as a good thing. All I was doing was pointing out a logical inference that could be picked up easily, near the end of the post.

There is no option of freewill with an omniscient God.

Why does everyone hate Mercution?

I certainly do not hate Mercution, I am in a debate with her, she is representing the opposing side, as such I will point out holes in her argument that I see, it does not mean that I hate her.
