Haveo awoke slowly finding that Chuki had disappeared. Once the haze that filled him mind disappeared he growled in frustration.
"Chuki...where'd you go off to? Dang it Chu, you don't know this area nearly as well as I do."
And with that Haveo lowered his nose to the ground trying to pick up Chuki's scent. Once he found it, Haveo sprinted off in the direction that Chuki most of followed screaming Chuki's name out hoping to find the other pup.

chuki walkd slowly still not to far from haveo...his hears pirkd up as he heard the sound of a familiar voice..."chuki!" it was haveo calling for him..
-"yeah! i'm over here haveo!!"
he creams out so he could hear him...chuki walks still with his nose to the ground...
-"man! im reallt thristy i hope haveo knows were theres some water ponds?"
chuki stops his search and decides to run towards haveos vioce.

Haveo ran up to Chuki with a stern face.
"Why'd you run off like that?! You could of gotten lost! Or killed!"
Haveo sighed angrily and then looked down at Chuki.
"Sometimes your nose isn't enough to get you back. other animals could of easily covered up your scent and I might of lost you ya know!"
Haveo stomped past Chuki and turning his head to get Chuki to follow and set off down the hill.

chuki made an angry face as haveo spoke to him.....
-"i ....i can take care of my self thank you very much!"
chuki said in unsure vioce...he troted behind haveo as they walkd off
he lowered his head to the right just a bit and with a low soft vioce
"i was just thristy is all.... haveo i couldv found some water sooner or later."
chuki ran alittle forward towards haveo and nudged his neck ....
-" i might be a small pup , but i'm not a dumb one.."
he said as he gave a big smile to haveo.

"I know you're not dumb, you haven't been on these plains alone long enough. Once you have a companion you have to stick with 'em. If you don't one of you could get killed, picked off by lions or leopards, or even water buffalo."
Haveo stopped and looked at Chuki with caring eyes.
"Chuki, we're best friend, brother even...maybe...but I"m the older one, I have more experiance out here. If you wander off I'm might loose someone that I've grown to care for."
Haveo began to walk forward once more.
"I'll take you to a small pond, few creatures that have te ability to kill us go there. Plus we might find some food. So come on."
With that said Haveo took off running towards the pond.

chuki smiled at haveo remark ...and jump after him ...running almost side by side...he was thristy , but not enough to get him killd and as he ran he thought about how haveo and him could make it on there own if they stuck together..it was almost like is old family now...running with another pup that lookd like him , and at that very time chuki felt like he could take on the world...his spited was free now...then his eyes roll back ..still thinking about the this morning...
-was it really another pup?
he thought as he ran..
-"haveo did you see or hear anything this morning when you woke?"
he says in a loud vioce so that he could be heard.

Haveo continued to think as he ran.
"Uhm I think I picked up the scent of someone else but I didn't really think of it, I was to worried wonderin' if you'd be killed." Haveo said jokingly bumping into Chuki on purpose.
Haveo took a turn to the right and ran into a hole.
"Come on Chuki through here! On the other is the river. I'm sure we can catch some fish."

chuki ran hard to try to keep up with haveo he dove into the hole beind him..he was already getting excited..
-"i love fish haveo.."
he says almost biteing his own tounge...he ran right behind him waiting to see where he was taking him...he could almost taste the water agaisnt his mouth and tounge....

Haveo ran right out of the tunnel and off the edge of the rock. Silence filled the place for a second before a splash of water resounded troughout the area.
"Chuki come on get down here! the water is great!"
Haveo dived deeper into the pond and snatched a nearby fish with his teeth and Haveo swam back up to the water's edge and began to feast upon the live catch.

-"WWWHHHEEEE!!!" SLASH!!!
is all you heard as chuki jump high in the air and into the water...he came up and his fur was all wet and in his face...he was swiming all around as he enjoyed the waters coolness....swiming and drinking at the same timw he didnt really know which one to do....
-"this is a great place haveo your the best!!"
chuki said as he spotted some fish swiming awat from him...then he went under the water to go catch some....

Haveo gave a big smile, stuck out his chest, and raised his head high.
" I know I'm the best!"
Haveo once more jumped into the water swimming after Chuki. Then he stopped for a moment and looked around the area. With that he dived under the surface once more and began to look around in it's depths, he knew something didn't feel right.

chuki not paying no mind to anything but himself and all the fun he was having...lookd around for haveo....he was going to ask him about a place were loins dwell ...thats where his family was headed before the big elephant death stampede...
-"haveo!! where did you go!"
chuki screamd out as he swam in a half circle...
-"i need to ask you a question about those big yellow cats i used to see long time ago?!? where ever they'er at thats where my family was going!! do know how to get there?!? maybe my mother and father will be waiting for me there!!"
chuki yelld out again waiting for his reply.

Haveo rushed up to the surfaced and shoved Chuki's water closer to the water's edge.
"Chuki we have to get out of the water like now! There's a croc at the bottom it'll eat us if we don't get out!"
Haveo continued to swim pushing Chuki's body along with himself.
"Come on Chuki! Snap out of it!"
Haveo kept pushing Chuki and looked down. He saw the croc coming closer towards them. In aselfsih act Haveo gave Chuki one last push and dove down to the crocodile hopefully to distract it and so that Chuki could make it safely out.

chuki confused started swiming towards the surface..
-"HAVEO!! where are you?!!?..."
chuki not standing the thought of losing anybody us ..not anybody that was like him, turnd around and dove down tring to see what was happein..then he saw it ..the croc was swiming right below them, but no haveo...chuki lowed one eye brow down and with a determine look swam with all his might towards the left side of the pond ...maybe he could mis lead him away from haveo...as he reachd the top of the water, taking in a full amount of air , he quickly looks left to right to see if he could find a safe place to go..and right in front of him there was a large branch just a couple of feet of the water...
-if only i can??
chuki thought as he throw him self in that direction...he now heard the beast come up and out of the water and swiming behind him...
-'' huu huu hu haveo!! help me!!"
chuki said as he reachd the branch and tried with his remain power to jump and catch the branch with his paws to cliam up..
"-HAVEO!!!"

Haveo leap out of the water onto the croc digging his teeth into the rough skin of the crocodile. The crocodile flailed around before falling back into the water and it took of swimming as fast as it could trying to throw Haveo off.
The crocodile made his way back up to the surface and leap out throwing its head to the said finally throwing Haveo off.
Haveo tumbled through the air and feel into the water. Withing a few moments he resurfaced and caught he breathe. He paniced, his adreniline rushing.
"Chuki keep climbing!"
Haveo made turned to the right and dove right back under the crocodile following close behind. After a few moments the faint outline of both the crocodile or haveo was visible.
