OOC: Know what? I just decided to bite the bullet and post as any extra characters needed until we get volunteers to take over for us.

"Umm, that's... very nice of you to offer Koga, but I'm quite allright. We were... Well, Inuyasha was summoned here for a meeting, and so the rest of us are waiting here outside for them to finish whatever it is they're talking about." Kagome responded. Before anyone else had a chance to reply the scream carried over the air. Miroku was the first one off, no doubt hoping there was a girl's kimono to get into; and Kagome looked to the others of her party. "Let's go see what that was. It sounds like someone is in trouble, and you said that there's monsters all over right?"

"Who cares." Grumbled Jaken. "Let them be eaten."

"Oh shut up or help us you stupid troll but stay out of the way."

"Troll!?"

"Come on Kagome." Sango said cooling powering up Kirara and offering Kagome a seat. "It's not worth the effort, Shippo, stay with Rin."

The little Kitsune moped. "Aw, but I don't want to miss out on a great fight!"

"I doubt there will be much need for violence, I doubt that there is anything we need worry about, but we can't leave Rin unprotected while the others are deaf to the outside world. I'm sure we'll be right back" Kagome assured happily.

"Oh okay..." Shippo groaned. "I'll babysit while you guys have all the fun"

"HEY!" Rin protested. "I am NOT a baby." She further proved her point by lifting the young fox demon up by his tail. Shippo protested loudly but the others had already left without him.


Meanwhile the bandits looked up to notice Miroku. "Psh, this ain't a lady. She's a demon, look at these claws." The man snorted, yanking the young womans arm about to show the long black nails of her fingertips, a process that brought a sharp gasp of pain from her.

"Please, I haven't done anything to harm you!" She cried tears falling down her cheeks. "I haven't done anything to harm anyone!"

"That means nothing coming from a monster. Human lives mean nothing to you beasts." The man growled tossing the woman to the ground. "The best thing for creatures like these is a swift extermination." He drew his sword and made to do just this when a large boomerang snapped the blade from his hand.

"What's going on here?" Sango demanded.

"Oww, dammit why is everyone fighting against me today, this woman is a DEMON. Look!" He snatched the scarf covering her head revealing long furred ears, and she bowed her head in defeat, bracing herself for blows, biting her lip as she sobbed helplessly surrounded by the band of renegade men.

"I don't want to hurt anyone." She said. "I just want to go away and never come back. I don't want to live this way anymore...Please, can't you just let me go?!"

Looking around him at the crowd that had gathered, the mercenary leader spat. "This ain't worth it." He tossed Kiera to the wayside, gathered his sword with his good hand and stomped off with the rest of his crew.

Kiera made a small yelp of pain as she was again thrown around, and then sat up wiping her eyes with the back of one muddy clawed hand. "I-I'm sorry all of you...I just...*sniff* I....I don't know what to do with people..." She stood up and collected her scarf, covering her ears with it and trying to brush the worst of the dirt from her clothing. She had clearly been traveling for some time, and apparently without any supplies. "I-I'll just go on now..." She murmured, head down as she started to trudge back to the main road.

Kagome felt for the poor girl, she looked so young (though older than Kagome by at least a few years) and hopelessly down trodden. "Wait, you don't need to go." Kagome offered, getting off of Kirara's back and heading after the wandering Youkai. "We're all traveling the countryside together..."

"Kagome, are you sure it's wise we should invite her to join us?" Sango asked her younger companion, and then, she turned her attention to the newcomer in the trees. "And what business have you here in the area?" she asked, hand still on her massive boomerang meaninfully.

While Sango calmly blinked and acted as though she knew nothing to be amiss, Kagome jolted quite noticably in the way that blatantly informed everyone she knew exactly what the other demon had been referring to. "I have no information to share." Sango stated coldly.

"D-do you really mean it?" Kiera asked looking up to meet Kagome's face with amazment. "You would really offer me a place in your company? Even though I am a youkai?"

"Uh, yeah of course, I mean, we already have a Kitsune among us, and I'm friends with a wolf demon and we travel with a hanyou too."

"Really?! But I thought all humans hated youkai?" Kiera looked like a little kid on christmas, so brightly beaming was her face, her 'belt' came alive into three long and independantly swishing fluffy tails. She seemed liable to start weeping tears of joy at any moment, and abruptly she half tackled Kagome to embrace her. "Thank you so much you have no idea how happy this makes me!" She was now literally sobbing with said tears of joy.

"Uh, no really it's okay!" Kagome assured, wriggling in the tight grasp of the overly affectionate demon girl. Hesitantly she patted the other young womans back as if in consolation.

Sango tensed when Kiera dived onto Kagome, but quickly relaxed, and a smile even came to her face at the sight. Well, if that doesn't prove she's harmless I don't know what does.

"Lousy stupid grown-ups, telling me what to do and making me babysit a little human gir-OW!" Rin interrupted Shippo's grumbling with a sound fist to the head. "You aren't one to talk about babies, you barely come up to my knee!" "Hey! I'm pretty big for a kitsune my age!" "Will you two shut up!" Jaken protested. "Oh, they're just children, let them have their bickerings." Myoga pointed out. "Who're you calling children!" The kids challenged, stomping on the diminuative flea youkai. Totosai the old swordsmith chuckled whilst sitting on his magical cow, then he turned his bug eyed old head to where Akane was poking around. "Care to join us little Miss? We're having some tea." He offered, gesturing to where a kettle was just short of boiling.

"Oh it's a meeting of some of the greatest powers in the land." The old man drew out, sipping a little tea himself. "We are mostly retainers to them. Or in the case of the youngest lord, merely companions. Ah, this is fine tea, are you sure you will not join us?"

"Hmm, that is a question for them to answer. If you would wait, you can speak to them yourself. Though I don't guaruntee all will reply I do know the head of them would speak for them all if necessary."

"Excellent choice my dear." The old youkai beamed, and cheerfully poured her a cup. "Those are nice swords you have there, would you allow me to have a look at them?"
