No ayin hara please.. I don't think I should have mentioned it. Anywho... too late sweatdrop . it's not an issue. besides, i doubt one can give one over the internet. i hope so-if not, i'm kinda screwed

Heck ayin hara is created through a persons thoughts and words. So.. yeah lets not curse our internet friends ^^; or bring bad luck to anyone. aaanyway what's this thread about, leaving the faith? Do we have anyone like that in the guild? Its an important issue. Im sad to admit it affects ALOT of people. sad

yea, that's because they don't understand how wonderful is the torah... poor people, i feel sorry for them... if i hadn't been born as a religious person, i would have been very poor guy, so i'm happy that i'm religious...

well, it can also be because of family.
Unfortunately, my family isn't ultra-religious, so basically it was my decision to get more involved in Judaism-so, some people can also get more religious/gain faith.
I know somebody who's family is Jewish, but one son is just an overall disagreeable person, so hates anything to do with religion. Personally, I think he is so against Judaism to spite his parents, and because his girlfriend is Atheist rolleyes

I have a kid in my class that "left the faith" because he hated the extreem level his parents took, so he was "revolting" against it, you might say. He hated how his parents made him do so many things, and even while he admits he enjoyed beleiving, he put it aside. Apparently, he didn't beleive enough sad .

It is rather depressing in my opinion to have people leave the faith like that- more and more it seems people are simply Jewish because they were brought up that way, and they don't really believe in it. sad
Also, there seems to be an increase in the number of people leaving simply to rebel- what happened to the good old days of "respect thy mother and father?" rolleyes
The world is going down the hill, and it seems as though few realize or try to stop it.

I find it extremely sad that she lost it by going to israel instead of having it being strengthened

RoseRose Some parents don't deserve respect. perhaps not from an equal, but no matter how horrible a parent, the child still owes that parent respect. no matter how cruel, negligent, and bad they were, one still owes his life to his parents. if not for them, one would not be alive.
