My surname "Sausedo" doesn't mean squat in Spanish... it was idiotically spelled wrong by the gringo-whitey hicks who let my grandpa into the U.S. from Mexico. mad I suppose the real spelling is Salcedo. But I dunno what that means.

My new surname's soon to be Alva, but I dunno what that means either. stressed

However, my mom's maiden name Buchholz translates to "book wood" in German. xd

My name&firstlast name (contradiction! xD) translated means "Wolf of the forest". Silvia and López, Silvia is Latin (meaning wild, or of the forest) and López is Spanish (meaning "son/daughter of Lope) but comes from the Latin "Lupus" (wolf). :3

Oh my God, that's awesome! biggrin

I like mah name's meaning~ Thankies! x3 <3

@ Hawk_McKrakken: I don't know what "Alva" means but "Alba" is "sunrise". If that helps n3n;; and I don't know what Salcedo is either, but I just looked in the RAE's online dictionary andd~~ Salcedo = Salceda = group/forest of Salces and a Salce is a Sauce, which is the willow tree. So Salcedo means "willow tree forest" or something like that. :3

Sounds Japanese. The only thing I can think of is 'Six something'.

Look up roku and then sasu. Like I said, I know roku can mean six, but it could also mean other things.

We don't use surnames where I live. Here in Malaysia we use 'name' 'father's name' (depends on the race actually, the Chinese still use 'surname' 'name')

My name is in Arabic because I was born in a Muslim family. I'm not really sure of the meaning but 'Siti' means first daughter, Noor (alternate spelling for Nur) means light, I also have a third name but it doesn't have a meaning because my parents made it up. sweatdrop

I've been thinking of changing my name legally, but it's so hard living in a country where people are not really ready for apostates. So I guess I'm stuck with this name until I find enough money to migrate to another country. xp

As for さす...I don't know...But when I type up the name it automatically goes to this: 録さす, other wise it's in hiragana.

The biggest problem for me is that my last name gets me laughed at in French. It's a word. Nothing profane, just... Random. I think if I were to spend much time in France, I'd go by my mum's maiden name or something.

My name translated fairly easily over to every language I've studied. The biggest difficulty was the absence of V in Japanese (Oribia).

The one thing, though, is that my last name gets me laughed at in French. It's a word. Apparently a humorous one to others.

Actually you can use the 'v' sound it Japanese, they just don't use it often and it's only in katakana. オリヴィア 3nodding
