 The Second Meeting; Moving In
"So Cal how long are you thinking I'll be camped out at your place?" Leo asked as he picked out close to pack in his suitcase before he glanced over to his little sister. The sounds of Paven and Ari playing were rampent in the background which just made Leo frown. He knew Cal couldn't give up the boy now but he hoped Paven grew up fast and left his sister alone. She didn't need this kind of stress. Look at her, kicked out of her own home because of that doll, Leo turned to his suit case and snapped his shut. It wasn't right.
Cal sighed as she looked down to her own suitcase guiltily. She hated doing this to Leo but she couldn't stand it anymore. Paven was getting tired of sleeping on the floor. It just wasn't fun anymore and she knew that soon Paven would start complaining. She also was leaving him alone as she went to work and she felt really bad for that. How old could Paven be? And he was staying hom alone? At least now Ari could watch him easily. Maybe Ari would watch him after she moved too.
"I don't know Leo" Cal said, "Till Kami calls and says I can move in"
"You're putting a lot of trust into this woman Cal" leo said, turning to her, "I don't like any of this. They're selling children in that shop" Leo growled, "And I don't know how Kami is involed but she's just brining you more into something you should be avoiding. You don't know these people at all yet you're moving in near them, you're meeting them without protection or letting anyone know you're going. Cal this just isn't smart"
"But what is smart Leo?" Cal asked, a sigh in her voice, "Living in a one room apartment with a child that I HAVE to take care of. Letting him stay home alone with knives and electrity sockets and a natrual trust of strangers? Working far to much to pay for an apartment that no longer suits my needs? I can't afford much bigger Leo, not without refusing to eating. And Paven needs things, he's a child. he deserves toys and playthings and friends. This is a chance for me to give him this" Cal moved forward, for the first time in her life she and her brother were fight and for the first time in Cal's life she was winning a fight. "I know you don't like these people but I don't think they want to hurt me. This is the best thing i can do, for everyone. I promise Leo, trust me"
Leo sighed and hugged his sister to him tight, kissing the top of his head. "I do" he murrmered, "I do trust you it's everyone else I don't trust. Let me get you a cell phone" he requested, "That way I can know where you are, please" His way of compermising, I get something, you get something. When Cal nodded her agreement he smiled and kissed her forehead.
"I love you Cal"
"I love you too Leo"

Setting: Apartment Complex
Link: No Place Like HomeKami.no.Kurai Most people when they walk out of the landlord’s room begin to think, “Why is that room so much nicer than mine,” but Kami was thinking something different… Wouldn’t it have been much cooler if the landlord started to sob?
“I knew those pictures would come in handy,” Kami mused out loud to the world. The pictures mentioned were those from the last New Year’s Party at the complex. After Zac and her pleadings did not work, and then her threats using Zac failed, Kami resorted to something much worse… “Thanks for taking those pictures, Zac. They came out really clear…” Zac with a camera, although scary, seems to have worked out this time.
Kami had already taken care of calling Cal, and she was hoping she would be there soon. She wanted to show her around and get her situated in her new apartment. Happyzac "YAY~! I'M HELPFUL!" Zac's voice was a high pitch squeal, most likely from all the excitement. "Now that lady can come live near us!"
The giant woman stopped and stared at her friend, "Wait, what were those pictures again?" She started to much on her nearby strand of hair. "Where is that lady, anyways? Aren't we supposed to... um... move her in?" Zac straightened herself up in pride--she remembered her sentence. Flamefire123 "so we're really going to live near Kami now!?" Paven gasped as he danced along. "I can't wiat! Then I can play with Yoru and meet Tsu and visit Kami whenever I was. Kami is so cool huh Cal. She's pretty too not just outside ethir, which is nice but inside too. And how much longer till we get there? I can't wait till we can move in. Leo doesn't like me living in his apartment and"
Dose he ever stop talking? Cal wondered to herself as she aproched the apartment building. She was relvied when leo called her up and said Kami left another message on her machine. She knew he was tired of living in her house and wanted his own place back, just as she was tired of dealing with two kids. At least Paven was just one, no matter how entergetic.
Cal walked though the front gate and winced as Paven called out Kami's name and went racing forward. She had such a head ache, it really sucked.
"KAMI!" Paven yelled when he saw her, "Hi Kami, it's me Paven Kami!" he said, running forward, "whose the big lady?" Paven asked, glancing at Zac then hugging Kami. "Where's Yoru? Am I really going to be living near you from now on? Can i visit you everyday? Will you come over for dinner? Look Kami I'm a kid!" he said, suddnely changign topics. "Look how big I am. And check out my cool new socks. Neat huh!?" Kami.no.Kurai Kami wasn’t really sure how to react when she saw the strange boy running toward her. He definitely looked familiar, and he knew her name. And then he said his name, and Kami was even more confused. No matter how much she had talked about it, she never expected a doll to become a child. She still wasn’t sure she believed that’s where Kori and Tsurara came from. For all Kami knew they just crawled up out of the toilet. Maybe they were mutants affected by any pills Zac happened to drop down there? Kami never believed this theory, of course. Paven just proves the one thing Kami didn’t expect happened.
As soon as the boy started asking questions she was sure it was him. She hugged him back, still slightly shocked from everything. “Yes, they are cool,” she said as warmly as she could. She had to keep the confusion out of her voice… “Paven, this woman is Zac. Zac, this is Paven. Zac lives in this apartment complex with me, now where you will be living.” Kami looked down at the boy… Wait, whiskers…? She looked away, but it wasn’t to avoid seeing the strange things attacked to the boy’s face. She was actually just looking around for Cal. Happyzac "Hi." Zac soothed her voice and crouched down towards the new child—the only time she would ever act halfway sane was when a child was present. She grinned and pointed to herself. "I'm Zac. I've got two kids just like you. You can meet them later, okay?"
She then sprung up like a slinky that was coiled up for a minute too long. "KAMI!" Her arms wrapped around her friend's neck, and Zac's insane smile was plastered on her face. "He's so cute! How come Yoru isn't big yet? I want my nephew to groooooooow!" Flamefire123 Paven smiled as Kami awnsered him, that was his faovrite part of Kami she always awnsered when he said stuff. Cal tended just let him ramble. Which he supposed was okay but not quite as cool as when Kami awnsered him. Then he turend, the giant woman named ac. Short name for BIG woman. That was cool he decied and she was nice, and aparently liked Kami too.
"You guys are sisters!?" he asked in surpise. "That's so neat"
"Paven" Cal said quietly, comming up behind him, "Please be quiet for a moment" she requested, looking up at Kami, then at Zace. She had arived just intime for Zac to be insane. She was a bit scared of Zac. She was a bit scared of everyone though. She felt an odd bond with Kami though, since they actually talked and stuff.
"Hello" she said in the same quiet tone,"Sorry I'm late" she said, "I'm glad you finally called Kami. I had to live at my brother's place for a little while and we were both getting tired of it" Kami.no.Kurai “Hi,” Kami answered. She was still attempting a smile, which Zac may find slightly odd if she paid attention. Of course, Kami attempted to smile warmly at everyone but Zac as much as possible. “I’m sorry about that… The landlord was indecisive for the longest time.” Kami was not going to mention that Zac and her ended up blackmailing the landlord, especially in front Paven. She crumpled up the pictures in her hand in an attempt to destroy the evidence. If she needed them again she could print them out a second time. Oh the joys of digital cameras.
She turned back to Paven to speak to him. Kami knew Cal asked for Paven to be quiet for a moment, but she would feel bad if she didn’t say something to the boy… “I guess you could call Zac and me sisters.” Kami had been attempting to ignore Zac this whole time. She had successfully skipped over the question about Yoru (for now). Kami didn’t want to try explaining something that even she didn’t understand to Zac… She decided she had been ignoring Zac fairly well right now. To celebrate her victory she broke her streak and began to maneuver herself out of Zac’s arms. {Not done, more will be added as roleplay progresses!}

I'm invited?
Cal took a long drink of coffee as he glanced into Paven's room. She was sooo happy Paven was not a morning person like her. Oh she paid for it at night but it was worth it in the morning. Paven would be up and running around soon enough for if she woke up early enough she had several hours of blessed quiet where she could sketch, clean up, or just rest in quiet, quiet quiet.
She loved it.
Cal took another drink of her coffee and looked outside, maybe she should wonder around, paven would be alright for a moment. Cal turned and opened the door but stoped, there on the floor was a strange peice of paper. She bent down and looked at it.
Invitation You have been invited to a meeting of the doll lovers on August 8th, 2006. This is no normal meeting, however, and you and any other people you bring will be greeted with shops, food, and rides. Here you can meet others like you and have fun doing it!
P.S. Do not forget to bring your doll and invitation!
Cal read over it's words and her eyes went wide. Someone was inviting her? Really? She never been invited to anything but her own family's stuff. Any party she went too was as Leo's akward little sister. No one she was so unpopular in high school. That unpopularity was a huge thing in her desire to not continue to college like her brother. She didn't want to go though 4 more years of feeling like she was nothing more then dead weight.
Cal sighed and slipped back in but now...Now people seemed to really want to talk to her...because of Paven she realized. She got this invite because of Paven. She walked to his room and looked at him for a long time then she turned and walked into her room where she had a sketchbook laying open on a cheep desk but she didn't feel the urge to draw like normal, no when she opened to a blank page she wrote out words.
July 26th, 2006
I don't believe it, I really don't. Someone decied to invite me to a party. A party not thrown by a family memeber and not being my brother made them invite me. I know my brother did it because this is from Bellus Paua and my brother hates them. He proably wont even want me to go to this party but I must. It's the first time anyone has ever wanted me to be around, the idea is...breath taking.
And I know WHY they want me around. Paven, that's why Kami talked to me and why I'm in this wonderful new apartment for cheep. Paven really changed my life and dispite what Leo might think I do believe it's for the better. After all now people seem to want to talk to me. Before Paven I only spoke with my sibling an customers at my work. I talked about trying to get a gallery to sell my work but I never made any effort into it. Maybe I should try it for real now. I have some drawings of Paven that would be real neat paintings. I'll think about it.
Cal sighed and close dher eyes, feleling insperation stir with in her. She felt odd, almost confident and then she sighed. no point in getting herself worked up over Ifs and Maybes. No she had to focus on the definatnly and postives but it wouldn't hurt to paint something right? She hadn't painted in a long time and the idea of it made her happy. Paven would proably like it too, she get him kid paints though and not canvas, that was expensive. Cal shook her head and turned back to the words before her.
But for now I think I'm going to try really hard to just be happy. Maybe I'll try to become better friends with Kami. I know I'll be seeing her alot since Paven likes her so much and she does seem really nice. She's just shy like me. Boy I know what that feels like. I hope I can finally have a friend that I don't share blood with...
"Caaaaaal!" Paven's voice rang and made Cal wince, seemed like her quiet time was over.
Well I geuss I have to go. Paven is awake and soon he'll be wanting breakfast and all sorts of things. Maybe I can take him to Kami's for a bit while I got get my painting suplies, or I can bring him with. Either works for me but I'll proably do the second choice, that's simpler then bugging Kami, she might be doing something important. Anyway, must go.

Paven bounded out, words spilling from his mouth like some sort of water fall as he was still dressed in his PJ's, looking for Cal. She closed her sketch book and rose, dusting herself off and grabbing her now cold coffee. She glanced at the invite and then took it with her. She was sure Paven would get a kick out of it.

Hormones, A Fuzzy tail and a need for Independence! Oh My
Paven yawned as he streatched in bed, thinking quickly of the date. He been counting down the days till the big party since Cal got the infite a week or so ago. He let out a small noise of excitement as he remember it was tomorrow. The only proble with that was that now he had a whole lot of today to fill. Oh well. He rose and yawned, streatching and looking around his room. It looked...smaller. His tail twitched as he rose, then froze.

Paven turned suddenly, he didn't get a good look but his eyes caught hold of something...brown. He stoped and contrated as he felt his tail swish. He frowned carefully and felt the tail switch again. No way, no way, no way, no way. He must be a teen now but he was more then just a teen. He was a teen with a tail!
Pavens small noise of excitement came out again, only thi time it was a loud squeal of joy. He couldn't belive it. He had a tail. Wait till he told Cal!
The praire dog boy dashed out of his room and bared into Cal's, finding her at her desk, musing over a drawing. The pale girl looked over and let out a yelp and fell back, out of her, her chair as her mismatched eyes stared at Paven. He grew, he thought dimmly. He must of grown again. Oh god did this mean she she thought it meant? Was she now raising...a teenage son? Oh god, oh god, oh god. She rose quickly and let out another squeak.
He had a tail now!
"don't I look cool Cal?" Paven asked and turned around to show her his nice new tail. "Look! I got a tail" he announced proudly. "Everytime I get older I get more animal parts. I wonder what animal part I'll get when I become an adult. And look Cal, I still got my socks" Paven said, ponting to his feet. "Aren't these socks so cool?"
All Cal could think was that now Paven would need all brand new clothes. All his pants would have to be changed so they could fit a tail in and now she should get a brand new brush for his special tail fur. Not to mention hormones, highten emtions and all the other headaches of having a teenager. She was just getting use to Paven as a kid.
"Yeah Paven, you look wonderful" she said softly.
Paven grined happily and twirled around, "This is so great and just in time for the party" he said happily. "I can't wait to meet all the new people and Yoru will be there and Tsu and Kori. I wonder why Yoru doesn't like Kori? She's just shy and trusts her brother. I'll have to get her to open up some. That way we can all be friends. That would be so cool. Can I make breakfast today Cal?" he asked and waited for the weak nod before he turn and ran to the kitchen.
Cal just watched, he enver stoped, what in the world should she do about this? The shy girl sighed and covered her face. What was happening to her life? She wanted this whole thing to settle down again. she wasn't use to all these changes. She couldn't complain though, she was in a bigger apartment, for free for right now and she was interacting with more people. Cal sighed and rose, looking at the drawing she just completed. Paven was in the center, surrounded by people and in the background was Cal, alone. She sighed and closed the book.
She better go make sure her kitchen wouldn't be burned down.

Excited for Tomorrow, Bored with Today
Paven let out a dramtic sigh as his eyes looked around his room and then landed on a small basicly blank blook. His journal. He rose and walked over to the book, opening it to the single and patheticly small entry in there. Maybe he should write some more. He sat down and sartered to search for a pen, he found one eventually, along with an old botton a stick of chewing up and something green of undertmainable oragin.
Maybe he really did need to clean. Oh well, he opened the book and began to write.
August 7th, 2006
I became a teenager today. It's pretty cool because when I became a teen I got a tail. I really like my tail. I also got new socks, well they're like my old socks but the point is that they still fit. I like my socks very much and so does everyone I talk with. Or they're just being nice, I can't really tell. I don't think it matters. I like it and that what matters.
Cal is taking me to this big party thing toorrow. I'm so excited. I get to go with Yoru and Tsu. They're my best friends. Also Kami is going to be there, she's so pretty and Kori. Kori isn't very nice but I think that's just because she wants attention. All she has is her twin brother. I just think she needs more friends. I like her. I just need to get her to like me back. Can't be that hard. Yoru likes me and Kami says that's rare. And Yoru speaks for me and he can't really talk. Someday I'm going to get Yoru to talk, that be so cool.
I can't wait till Yoru's a kid. I bet he'll be super fun. I hope he becomes a kid before I'm an adult. That be neat. Tsu is suppose to become a teen soon, and Kori. I bet Kori will be a pretty teen. That be neat. Kori has a cool hat. So does Tsu but I like Kori's better. I wonder if she'll let me wear it sometime. Maybe, that be neat. I like hats.
Did I mention I have a tail now? and my whiskers are easier to see. It's so neat, me having a tail I mean. I can move it and everything, it's so much fun! I can't wait to show it off at the big event tomorrow. A bunch of doll owners will be there. How neat!
Ohhh, mom's making lunch. I'm goingto go see what's to eat.

Paven jumped up, closing the book and streatching once. Well that sorta fun. Maybe his mom will let him play outside once lunch is done. that be way more fun. Oh well, he'll take what he can get. Paven whistles and he walked out, ready to badger his mom about lunch and going out side.
