Shaun The Bunny Bururian I hate Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I think he's done a fine job. The person I hate in the movies is Halle Berry. THANK YOU! Storm's supposed to be an african goddess, yet you have Halle Berry playing as her? WTF? The Juggernaut was utterly horrible(I don't recall him being Australian, or a mutant), with exception of that one line. It was horrible written, but just so damn funny. Callisto was fast... what? Isn't that Quicksilver? Why did collosus only talk once the entire movie(and in perfect english too!)? Why does phoenix look like Scarlet witch? There were too many mutants(half of the big villian mutants didn't even talk... and why no ******** gambit?), and the story seemed very very forced. The acting was a bit off too if I must say.... but it wasn't horrible. I mean, it wasn't great, but i could've been worse... a lot worse. Like catwoman bad.

my biggest complaint is that as a long time fan it was painful to see them butcher so many characters
Logan beign emotional and weepy?
Juggernaut as an australian rather than a brit... with no reference at all to his relation to Zavier?
CAllisto with Quicksilvers power?
Peitre speaking perfect english and being called "Peter"
DArk Phoenix beign able to harm Scott?
Warren relegated to a bit character?
and do not even get me started on what they did to the professor himself in that scene with Jene and then at the end
I grew up reading X-0men... and to see not one but two story archs butchered the way this movie treated "dark Phoenix" and "The Cure" was enough to make me livid.

I took it for what it's worth. It's not going to mirror the comics and sometimes the similarities end at a character's name (and I guess sometimes not even that far? confused ). I was entertained and that's what it was meant to do. I could have spent my time in worse ways.

Its best to take the movies for what they are.. movies. Being that they are very loosely based on the comics.
Spider-Man didnt have this problem nor Blade sweatdrop

Dampylle Peitre speaking perfect english and being called "Peter" to be fair, he's been called peter before... plus, it's piotr. I saw it last night and enjoyed it. I didn't go to it expecting to see a direct comic adaptation, I went expecting a popcorn action flick with the added bonus of my favorite superheroes as the stars. that said, I would've liked to see psylocke play a bigger part. or any part, really. she had like one line, kind of. sad

I didn't expect it to be a direct adaptation of the comics, but it seemed like they didn't even bother with the comics. The movie would've been better if they hadn't tried to end the movie series where it is. The script and acting felt rushed. Half of the mutants were pointlessly included. Psylocke never spoke, yet she had quite a major role in the comics. The guy with the face spikes was supposed to be Kid Omega, who was an omega level psychic. I'm no huge x-men expert, or fan but they just murdered anything David Hayter put together with the first two.

I am with Veras
I went in expecting an adaptation not a faithful portrayel...... I was not expecting soemthing of the calibur V for Vendetta managed (now that was a faithful adaptation)
but even going in with low expectations as I did I left pissed
it is not that I expected it to be spot on, or even faithful since they were already fairly distant from the source material after the second film
But it was the extreme degree to which they altered things that bothered me..... it was like they did not even attempt to keep anything intact
To me it honestly felt extremley rushed and poorly put together, and after having the time to think about it after colling off I still find it to be one of the worst adaptations I have seen (it is not cat woman bad but it ranks up there with the early Punisher movie in terms of how badly adapted it was)
and it does not help that after thinking about things it honestly seems that the main reason they wrote Scott out was because the actor was not available and they were unwilling to work around a dual filming scheduale for him because it would have likley delayed their release to fall or winter

I haven't saw the third one yet but I liked the movies. And I'm a fan of the X-men. Of course, it's not the real story and I'll never think that. I find it interesting to see the X-men in real persons. What I hate is that they remove the animated serie before the end. Damn Teletoon! scream

To be brutally blunt
For people not familiar with the franchise outside of movies and such..... it will likley be great
for those who are only casual fans.... it will be an enjoyable flick
for people like me who notice each thing they screwed up because we grew up with the franchise..... the movie will likley only piss them off
