just because he looks funny doesn't mean he didn't have the 2nd best shop in the game that saved yer asset if you were about to die. he was useful! VEEERRRYYY much so, until he got replaced by that stupid machina!

I realize that I'm probably the only person who doesn't know this in this guild, but I hope the shops are back in episode three. heart One of my favorite things about RPGs is the idea of having to shop for things. I'm one of those "99 of every item" people.

I'm one of those "99 of every item" people. OMG, you too? I loooove purchasing things until I have 99 of everything....except maybe armor and weapons...naturally. Or not. xd There's like a sense of triumph in seeing that double digit besides items in your inventory menu. >> It's just...invigorating. rofl

yar, i'm a hardcore RPGer~ collect 99 of every usable item, the number of the max party members of ever Weapon , Armor and Accessory- and get at least the max number of everything else {and one of every key item}

I did that with all of my shadow hearts and final fantasy games, but not as much with Xenosaga. That's mainly because item-wise, ep2 was a letdown compared to ep1. The look was better and smoother, but the items....WAH.

I like to max out all the items that restore health, magic and bring you back for the dead. I hardly every use items like bombs or other items that you through with some element power to it. I usally stick to hand to hand and spell casting.
What I hate is when good games like Star OCean Till the End of Time, I'm currently playing, limits the number of most items. At most you can carry 20 but other you can only carry 3.

At most you can carry 20 but other you can only carry 3. yeah, that was a stupid limit -.-' but item creation plus that made it really easy to max them out- though i didn't bother with things like the Crude Ring... or that Japanese candy that started with Om... and i usually by 99 health items from the start, and don't run out very much because those items get updated a lot. mp items are 3, revival is second. elements is last, and bombs are right before them. acc is before arm. and weapons are before them... though bullets go as either bomb/element/phyiscal/blah- it depends on the type of bullet and how much you have to update them for instance Billy's guns, i didn't bother maxing the element types until waay later. {God... after a few visits to Big Joe's shop... and the treasure chest... gave me so many useless items- like the badges... wouldn't have been useless but they were about a disk late.}

I know what you mean. I never used attack items and I never will. I stick to spells and physical attacks. Most of the time the items don't really do all that much damage. I hate that too. I FINALLY managed to get ahold of Vagrant Story for PS1 (it's like a mix of PS2 Castlevania, DMC, Dark Cloud, and a zillion other games) and the items are limited. I can't stand that. In one of my favorite games of all time, Paper Mario TYD, items are really limited. Gah.
