dersephy Reiji For every good thing God creates, Satan makes his own version of it. like how sony copied the nintendo wii's motion sensor control.... rofl I don't know if that exactly counts. The big Miyamoto himself said he was "flattered" by Sony's step toward a more realistic gameplay.

LDSeraphim elfshdwknght MY hand has hovered over the button for far to long. i dont know what i was think, coming here. I can barly stand the people from my ward. elfshdwknght>OUT! This is the internet, get used to seeing things you dont want. well, part of the point of this guild is that we won't have to see things we don't want to! it's a HAVEN away from the filth of mainstream internetness. My thoughts exactly biggrin

Reiji LDSeraphim elfshdwknght MY hand has hovered over the button for far to long. i dont know what i was think, coming here. I can barly stand the people from my ward. elfshdwknght>OUT! This is the internet, get used to seeing things you dont want. well, part of the point of this guild is that we won't have to see things we don't want to! it's a HAVEN away from the filth of mainstream internetness. My thoughts exactly biggrin Dittoes. I joined Gaia for the sake of a friend of mine. The things she'd told me about on here made me want to stay far, far away from here but I felt she needed my support so I joined. The things I saw-- all the "teenage girls chained to bed posts and boys come in!" threads and other ridiculous excesses make me want to pour holy water on my hard drive. I found Army of Helaman and it was like a little island in a sea of insanity. I like it here. I like that we all (at least seem) to uphold the same beliefs. Safe sex may be better than unsafe sex but chastity is still best. The condom itself doesn't offend me. The libertine ideals I feel it represents does.

yeah but whats the point of seeing one, i mean i dont want to use it until im married...and yes its good to be educated, like in the church they tell us how we should saved ourself till marriage-thats important in order to make the right choice-but i dont see why seeing a picture of a condom going to help me now??
why dont i wait till its that time?

actually i hate my singles ward i basically go alone ....i was lucky all through high school to have such a great ward..but my singles ward lately has been pretty much a dissapointment...and the ppl also in utah, when i went for college have been a dissapointment!! its funny how u can feel so alone in the gospel u love, but-at least the gospel never change!!!!-

This topic is now over. Those some of you may not agree with some rules, I think they are necessary. I really don't like the idea of something that could potentially get some thinking along the lines of premarital. That, I feel, is exactly where the picture leads. If one small thing is accepted, then it leads to bigger things. I am tolerant of others beliefs but in this case, it is not necessary to premote them in that way. This, as some have said, is to be a haven, away from the things of the world. That picture is a symbol of a worldly thing, even though members may use it later on. As he said, he chose it because it is associated with sex and that is something I would like to keep out of the guild. I wasn't comfortable with it in here as I'm sure some others weren't. elfshdwknght has left the guild on his own. I will make the rules and guildlines of the guild more aware and clearer to prevent further problems such as this.
