Am I lonely? Scrawled several pages into her journal, Kallisto muses about her strange mood swings that seem to coincide with Valentine's Day.
I consider myself an independant person, capable and strong but lately I find myself falling into melancholic moods. Lonliness and a desire to be needed dominate my thoughts at the strangest times and I can't fanthom why... It's not like me at all. I'm usually energetic, not brooding and introverted.
Perhaps it's because Valentine's Day is looming around the corner and I seem to be the only Empyrean I know without someone to care for. But I have had these thoughts before so maybe the day devoted to love is merely making my lack of friends and love more obvios to me. Now that I think about it, I think that's the root of the problem. All around me I see lovers embracing and sharing tender moments and I turn to smile at no one. It brings a certain of pain to my heart and I don't understand why.
I'm not particularly lonely, though I do wish I knew more people around here, and I don't really feel the need to be tied to anyone so this is confusing me. I must make more of an effort not to be sidetracked by such wayward thoughts and focus on the things at hand - at least things make sense when I do that.
Still... I wonder what it's like to have someone you care deeply for.

Eros on the Loose Event - Response I'm not sure what to make of what happened. At first I thought maybe Tryna would have misplaced the potion she was brewing but as things progressed it became a graver and graver situation.
I learned a lot, not just factual things this time either. Besides having the beginnings of how to brew Eros Potion, I'm beginning to wonder if love is indeed as wonderful as people make it out to be....
I mean, poor Lus hopelessly in love with Tryna and yet paralzed by a fear of rejection that took us zeros to shed a bit of light on. It felt wonderful to see Lus finally realize that his appearance - while I think it's kind of handsome - itsn't the only thing that matters. Without the strength he possesses I think Aysel would have gotten more injured by Gregor.
And Gregor! He's so utterly confusing! How can someone so horrible have such a tender core? After his actions, stealing the Eros potion to use it on Tryna and then hurting Aysel and saying all those hurtful things to Lus, I don't know if I'll ever be able to trust him. Probably only trust him as far as I can throw him. He stirs up so many conflicting emotions I find I want nothing to do with the man. Being deceitful to try to win the heart of the one he loves is no way to go about things, if anything I would think it would poison that person's heart towards him.
It's just so sad that he thought that a fake love would be better and that he didn't even -try- to win Tryna's heart, merely took it. Disgusting really. And I can't help but suspect that he did it in part to spite Lus, who he seems to be jealous of - and rightly so! Lus may not be as gorgeous as Gregor but his very character shines out above Gregor in a way I don't think the man understands. There's a difference between poisonous beauty and strength of character.
Lus is a Grigori, and I want to be like him. Though I don't want to turn into the gruff sort with a heart of gold, I like to think I'll turn out smoother then that.
Oh dear, I forgot to mention Tryna! I feel happy and sorrowful for her. It must be something to have two men willing to fight for you but when one treats you more like a prize to be collected I wonder if it would be as wonderful as it seems. Nothing good came out of the confusion that resulted from the Eros Potion and I hope Tryna doesn't blame herself for what happened, it's not her fault that people fell in love with her. It was Gregor's fault for not having the courage to even approach Tryna about his feelings.
Oh! I'm so confused! When Gregor grabbed Aysel around the throat, and she vowed to kill him, I thought she meant it for real - it was actually a bit scary - but then she saw him weeping because he had to deal with the fallout of his foolish actions and she told him to look forward as if she forgave him. How can somebody be so kind? It just doesn't make sense to me. I know I'm not the most forgiving soul around or the most level-headed but still, to be able to shake something like your life being threatened so easily startles me. It makes me wonder if I'm a bad person... Is it wrong to form an opinion based on someone's actions? Their words are important, yes, but I think their actions speak louder. That's true, isn't it?
......
This idea of love isn't something I think I'd like to be involved in - too much trouble comes from it. I can be happy without falling for someone, I think. Or at least I hope I'll be able to.

Grave and KallistoThe Sparring Match - Starts there
Winner: Kallisto with 5/10 points left Conclusion Date: Feb 15 2007
Well, they say one's fighting style is a reflection of the soul within and I must say I am impressed! Grave's smooth and his control is superb. I hope that some of that grace will rub off in future sparring matches. I had a great deal of fun and it was entirely different from fighting Nadyrr, though he has his own strong points.
Perhaps I should help Grave a little bit with tactics and keeping his head about him during a fight.... he tripped me up but I turned that into a pinning move. He... uh, flailed when I did that and kind of fought really weakly. Seemed like he was more interested in getting away then find a way to use our positions to his advantage.
Although I can't really talk about tactics because I let him up only to have him turn around and aim a well placed kick my way. While that obviously shows good thought on his part, it shows I need to mature too and keep an advantage if I get it. But still.... hitting somebody when they're down isn't fair. Especially when they're just flailing. The point of the duel is not to hurt or shame. So I think I did the best thing.
In the end, I won with a kick. It seems that particular move is my best one. Perhaps I'll develop some sort of signature move with it... That's so silly! This isn't wrestling. But still, if the shoe fits, right?
I most certainly want to spar with him more. I feel as though we can develop our abilities really well if we practice hard enough. And it'll give me a chance to get to know him better as we didn't talk very much...
As I sit here thinking, I'm beginning to wonder if I prefer Grigori over Gatekeeper. I really like the idea of being to help keep the peace inside the city and I've enjoyed practicing with Grave - who wants to become a Grigori - so perhaps I'll choose to persue that career. In the meantime, however, I think I'll just hone my abilities and let my instincts guide me to the proper choice.

Thinking Scrawled several pages into her journal, Kallisto wonders what the future will hold for her.
I've been thinking - I'm doing that a lot lately - and it's dawned on me that we're halfway through the school year and coming closer to my first ascension. What will stage one bring? I wonder how I'll change.
Oh, I do hope that I don't become something ugly. Though I suppose I can only hope to turn out as wonderful as Tryna or Lus or even as beautiful as Gregor, though I'm loathe to say it. I do not like the man but one cannot deny his physical beauty.
I do hope my growth is something I can be proud of, I don't know if I'd be able to bear sprouting gills and fins or something equally uncomfortable. Above all, I hope ascending won't affect my ability to duel or do anything else I like...
On a less brooding note, however, I'm caught up on literature now! Though that turned out to be a bit more boring then I thought it would be. I now know what passive and active sentences do, but that's about it. I have the feeling that Professor Dameron can be absent minded and interrupting him while he was reading may not have been the best choice. Perhaps I shall approach him in the near future for some help as I'm not entirely sure where to take this whole active and passive sentences thing when it comes to readings.

Impressions I. Do. Not. Like. This. Class. End of story. Bardane appears to take pleasure in not only metting out 'punishment' but in flinging how helpless and dependant we zeroes are in our faces.
Definitely not a class I look forward to returning to.
... I wonder if there's any way I could make him eat his words.... That would be just dessert for this man. Notes Number 1. No Empyrean below Stage 1 may cast magic, unless under the supervision of a Professor. Outsiders kill us. Kill or be killed, according to Professor Bardane.
There are other markings on the page, mostly of cartoon Bardanes with Xs through them.

Bardane, the worst teacher ever. Scrawled several pages into her journal, Kallisto rants about Bardane's Class.
I may not be as strong as those who are older then me but that most certainly does not mean I have nothing to offer and the fact that Bardane insinuates such things makes me utterly angry.
And how he punished poor Torrid simply made me want nothing to do with the likes of him - Bardane that is. I refused to take any notes and watched as his face remained cold throughout the class, shrugging off our complaints as though our concerns held no implications for him. How dare he! The very nerve makes my fists hurt. He is a teacher. He is meant to teach, not harm, and his very impassive approach annoys me. Sure Torrid won't be late but what if something happens that he isn't capable of dealing with because Bardane beat his hands until they were bleeding? Torrid had enough trouble writing the laws Bardane demanded us to learn afterwards.... Oooh it just makes me angry.
I may give him a piece of my mind later - outside the classroom. I am not afraid and will not let such coldness be our teacher. He said pain comes with life and this is true but pain most certainly doesn't have be the driving the factor. I look at Aysel and Antigone and see how tender they are together, especially after the way that cretin Gregor hurt her, or Grave and his group of lovers (which I still don't understand but that's besides the point) and I know that they are proof that pain never has to be one's focus in life.
..... Is that how Bardane sees it? ...... That you can only get hurt? It would explain his apathy in class, if nothing else.... Perhaps there's more then meets the eye with him.
Still, that does not excuse his actions in class and for that he has earned a black mark in my books.

}}| A Shift in Perspective |{{ Part A ~*~*~*~ Kallisto was lounging in her room, the contents of her supply box spread out before her and the library books stacked in a haphazard pile. Looking from to another and then from Cecil to Jadeite and back again, she wondered how she’d managed to collect such treasures. She’d woken up the morning after St. Patrick’s day to a splitting headache and sore sides with little memory of what had occurred the night before.
Some flakey green and red image kept appearing in mind, as though it should be important but she just couldn’t put her finger on it. And then Jadeite had floated by and scared so badly she’d fallen out of her bed to land on a pile of sol she hadn’t known she’d amassed. It had been a rough day, needless to say, and she’d spent the rest of the week without even casting a glance at the books she’d borrowed from the library.
The memory of her and Grave swearing to help each other to top rose to the surface of her mind and she smiled. That had been a pleasant experience and he hadn’t turned out to be nearly as distant or snotty as she had initially expected. He’d made a good impression on her and she had come to view him as a friend, even making plans to try to try practice with him again.
But that meant dealing with his entourage and as outgoing as she may be, faced with all of them she always felt a little put out and ignored, as though the only person who should be acknowledged was Grave. She’d pondered telling him as much but didn’t think he’d take that well. Even during Art Class, she’d been sitting right beside Grave and they hadn’t even given her a hello. She’d moved over to make room for them and even then they’d ignored her. It had put her in a bad mood once more, especially after Bardane’s class and she’d simply gone back to her room for the night.
Kallisto had contemplated simply giving up on trying to befriend that circle but Cecil wouldn’t hear anything of it. Giving up wasn’t the way to approach this dilemma and speaking to Grave would likely solve the problem – the idea she’d first come up with when she realized how their actions made her feel. Still, she didn’t want to hurt Grave’s feelings and had sought a way to make them notice her. Friends was all she wanted and she’d take them if push came to shove.
That’s when the books had caught her eye and she set everything out before her. She had to figure out the unsummon Jadeite and simple left the beautiful Abberation alone while Cecil looked on with curiosity. What had Kallisto decided if she wasn’t going to talk to Grave?
“I’ll study to be the top of the class. They’ll notice me then.” A fierce look of determination had entered her eyes then, their garnet depths glowing. “I’ll be the best at what I do. Starting with this.” She gestured at the piles she’d laid out and waded in, starting with the Alchemy as that made the most sense to her.
It was fairly straightforward, identify the sections in the book and on the various alchemical instruments she’d found in her supplies. The Alembic and Crucible were of particular interest as she found out how central they were in the study of Alchemy. Twisting knobs and tapping the metal or glass, she carefully learned each section and purpose of these two instruments, occasionally testing herself by naming their parts without reference to the book. When at last Cecil, who had been following along the entire time, could call out a part or purpose and Kallisto could identify it immediately, she took a break.
Several hours had passed and her notebook now had several pages of notes scribbled onto the paper. Several things stood out, her writing neat and crisp, easily read:Alchemy Notes Cancer - is the name of the process of dissolution, i.e., a process by which a substance is dissolved in a liquid like an acid. Leo - denoted the absorption or assimilation of one substance by another. Libra - is the act of weighing out ingredients. And remember! If you're even a miligram off, the entire thing could fizzle. Alembic - is a vessel made of glass or copper that is used to distil substances into a truer or more pure form. It requires heat to change the form from solid to liquid, and then to gas, whereby the bubbles will rise up the neck of the vessel and will curl down through the curled and heated pig-tail-like spout to deposite its reduced form into an empty vessel below. Crucible - is another alchemical tool for the burning down and combining substances. Instead of distilling a substance, the crucible keeps a high heat and the elements tossed inside it melt and conjoin into one. It is through the Crucible that Alchemical alloys are made. Panacea - is another of the common potions, which - if made properly - can heal any sickness and any wound. In the margins, she’d practiced using the shorthand from Tryna’s lexicon and found it was both a challenge and joy to develop her own little symbols and words even though they looked fairly similar to what Tryna had provided as examples. The more she learned, the more she hungered for information.
Withdrawing her vial of Sunspots she held it up and wondered how exactly they might be made. Her was beginning to dull from too much jostling and she didn’t know how to use her technoequips quite yet so she couldn’t just store the thing. Sighing, she set the vial down in one of the holders and flopped back on her bed.
Quiet voices emanated from the corner of her room and she looked over to find Jadeite deep in conversation with Cecil. Blinking, she rolled over to watch them, curiosity drawing her attention away from her studies. She hadn’t known Jadeite could speak, they had all been silent during the St. Patrick’s Party…
They must have felt her gaze on them as they both turned and started to find her staring intently at them. Cecil licked his paw as though nothing had occurred, watching Kallisto with his bright orange eyes. Jadeite had proceeded to float over and peer at her notes, as though inspecting them. A thought struck her as she watched her Abberation move around, weren’t Abberations related to Alchemy? Perhaps she could learn to make them at some point, find out if they actually did speak and she wasn’t just hearing things because her brain was tired. Shaking her head as she found herself staring at Jadeite once more, she returned to her books for the time being. She’d pester Jadeite with questions later to see if the Abberation could speak and if so why it wasn’t, to her at least.
Absorbed in her books, she lost herself in the knowledge as she reminded herself that the only way the make friends was to make them notice her.

Lucky Clover Event - Response
St’ Patrick’s Day was lots of fun….. I think. I don’t remember much and my head is hurting something fierce. I must have passed out once I got back because I didn’t change out of my regular clothing and everything’s all wrinkled now.
Ugh…. I’ve got the lights down low because they really hurt my eyes and Cecil’s constant chuckling is really grating on my nerves. It’s painful too. I feel horrible! Totally disoriented and ill and sticky and awful. My head is killing me….
But let’s see…. I remember having a drink, green I think. And somebody called it schnoppy or something similar. It’s all so fuzzy…. Some little green empyrean was there and telling stories and dancing and being fun.
Oh! And then some great big green thing came and tackled me. Good wrestler… too bad I don’t know the name…. or gender for that matter. Just flaky green skin and something about being the best fighter ever…. Agh, I’m so confused. Was that before or after Metro started telling stories? I can’t remember….
And I won lots of money! 100 sol to be exact. Dunno why but Raelyn was rather tipsy so it might have been a random kind of thing… was she giggling? Maybe.
…. I have this feeling that I’m missing something….. something important…. There were these ghosty things floating around. Metal spirits…. Abb… abbbu… no…. Abberations! That’s what they were. Gold and silver and… Jadeite! I caught some of them and then ended up winning something big. It’s all so fuzzy and my eyes are hurting as I’m writing this…. Wrestling and a draw and lots of refills….
-there’s a big blotch of ink on the page on the page from a spill-
Dammit! Now I’ve soaked the page! Guess I’ll just add in whatever comes to me later. Sleeping seems like a very good idea…. After I tape Cecil’s mouth shut that is.

}}| A Shift in Perspective |{{ Part B ~*~*~*~ The book Bellona had written was turning out to be far more challenging then Kallisto expected. Not that she was complaining about the sheer volume of information but it was a lot to take in. She noted several times that the planets and their influences played a central role in Circle Magic. She frowned. She hadn’t done too well at Biquintile in Astronomy class…. And apparently that was a spell she ought to be able to do.
Perhaps, she though, she was having trouble because she had yet to attend the Magical Theory class. Her gaze settled on the figures and tables of information spread out before her, narrowing as she realized she’d have to become efficient in astronomy as well. That was at least five subjects she now had to master – botany, cooking, astronomy, circle magic, and dueling. Granted she liked them all, but the more she learned the more she realized that everything was connected.
It was slightly intimidating.
Nonetheless, she was driven to excel in these three things, for herself and in the hopes of garnering the attention of her fellows. Perhaps if she was flashy enough, they’d pay more attention and she wouldn’t be as…. Lonely. Biting the side of her cheek, she rose from her bed and scooped Cecil up, tucking him against her chest as she sat back down. He cried out at the sudden shift and cast an annoyed look at Kallisto. She merely smiled and stroked his head, glad to have his company. He pushed against her and with a wry comment, wriggled his way out of her grasp and plopped back down on the floor. Shrugging, Kallisto let him go and turned back to her books.
She would be the best Grigori (along with Grave she reminded herself, they’d made a pact after all) and would earn the respect of her peers. Then, and only then, would they pay attention. She did not know why they always seemed to ignore her – she was well groomed, pleasant, and agreeable. The only thing she could hypothesize was that she lacked something, some key ingredient to attracting friends and she hoped by perfecting her skills she’d draw them to her. A little bit of flashiness wouldn’t hurt either.
Totally distracted, she fiddled with the feather of her quill and stared at the page before her. She’d managed to get through the section on the basics, and the one about Biquintile – the circles scratched all over her page were testament enough – so she took it upon herself to learn just a few more. She was sure she’d actually be able to practice them once Magical Theory class came. Kallisto smiled, she might even talk to the Professora during the upcoming Free Period. But that depended on how far she got through the text, and how much actually stuck.
Bending over her work, Kallisto reigned in her mind focused on the task at hand. The sooner she was done the better.Circle Magic Notes Quinary - he Casting of the Quinary is the first step to drawin the more complex circles of Circle Magic. It requires a pentagram be drawn, a five-pointed star, with the top-most point directed towards the target. In each of the five points, a set must be draw out. There are three sets possible at this stage: Chromatic Quinary, Astral Quinary and Elemental quinary. For the Chromatic Quinary, place the colour White in the top-most point, Red in the upper right, Green in the lower right, Blue in the lower left, and Yellow in the upper left. This Quinary will enable you to direct a blast of Energy that will attack the Mind of your opponent, lowering concentration. The Astral Quinary requires Jupiter in the top-most, Saturn in the upper right, Uranus in the lower right, Neptune in the lower left and Pluto in the upper left. This Quinary will enable you to direct a blast of energy that will attack the Essence of your opponent, lowering Magical potency. The Elemental Quinary requires Spirit in the top-most, Fire in the upper right, Earth in the lower right, Water in the lower left and Air in the upper left. This Quinary will enable you to direct a blast of energy that will attack the Body of your opponent, lowering Physical strength. 1 Point of Damage Sesquiquiadrate - In this a Circle is drawn, and broken into 10 segments called Houses. Half way betweenthe line signifying fourth house and the line signifying fifth, make the symbol for Sesquiquadrate, and concentrate on directing it at a target. This configuration will create agitation, unrest and internal conflict with no clear cause. In the distraction and internal discomfort, the target will lose strength and not even realize it. 1 Point of Damage Biquintile - In the Biquintile, a Circle is drawn and seperated into 12 segments, called the Zodiac. Place the two planets whose strength you want to call upon and set them apart by two and a half signs of the Zodiac. See Elias' Lesson for meanings and implications of the Planets in Detail. The Biquintile, when properly drawn will reveal the skills of the opponent to the Castor. ie. If Mercury and Venus are set in the Biquintile, the communication of Mercury mixes with the Emotions of Venus and exposes the person for whom the target is weakest for. Mars Biquintile to Jupiter exposes the next offensive action, where as Mars and Earth is defensive, and Mars and Pluto is tactics of the opponent... Gives 1 point back to the Castor

Impressions Art was fun! Though I feel kind of embarrassed for only making a doodle whereas the others really seemed to put effort in. Golems are interesting but I'm not sure if I want to pursue the creation of one. I'll have to look into it more. Some sort of reptile would be great... or something firey and eye-catching - which wouldn't match the Omega Acid that I chose. I'll have to remember to look up the different golem shards and see if something pops up. Otherwise I'm not particularly interested.
On another note, however, Professora Raelyn is really nice and, well, shy. Not distant but a kind of flighty shy. She seems like the kind of person that could get along with anyone.Notes Golems must be grown from golem shards Golem shards are like seeds in that they are the basis for the golem You can design a golem however you like but name and skills are really important - naming influences how your golem will react and skills affect what it can do Speak to Raelyn after handing in the homework if I want to reserve that shard

Impressions Paxar's totally crazy and math sucks. It's totally confusing but I need it to learn circle magic. I don't know what I'm going to do... Notes Like the Colours of the Spectrum, specific Numbers each have meanings, and power they can influence over othe aspects. Whether it be the degree of distance between two bodies, of the length of time your sustain a spell's effects, Numbers rule the world. So, if you can apply and invoke their power in Spell casting you become capable of many amazing things. It is a difficult skill to hone, as it requires the perfect focus of the mind simultaneous to the actual casting. Mudras can help train the mind to this focus. In order to draw on the natural power of a specific number, you need to draw a magic square. The Minimum number of squares within a magic square is nine, but you can go infinitely larger... Keep in mind that the number of squares in each row influences the strength of the Magic Square too. In this case, 3 stands for the Trinity, the balance of power. A good number for a magic square. Each line in your square will add up to your chosen number perfectly, and will reduce perfectly You reduce the number by adding its component parts, 1 + 5 = 6.
.4.9.2. .3.5.7. .8.1.6.
Six is the number indicative of love, domesticity, family affairs, as in of the alignment loyalties, and loyalty. Six consists of the first male number, three, mixed with the first female number, two, and therefore characterizes productive and harmonious balance. Geometries, on the other hand are far more interesting... Each shape has its own properties. You can work these symbols into your magic casting. Shapes into your Circle Magic diagrams, for instance, or emblems on your Golems that give them power. These Shapes are the first half of what makes Geometry so powerful, the second part...The Aspects, are what make it so potent. All skills, especially magical ones, consist of two parts. A Required Part, and an Augmenting part. You must always have the required ingredients for the spell, or skill, to work. However, the augmenting aprts are to offer certain strengths, qualities, or properties to the spell work. Therefore, if you have another component with the same of extremely similar properties, it can be Substituted instead. Obviously, a stronger version of a component will produce a more effective result. You can either weigh the essence of an ingredient, or you can look for its rarity. Generally rarer, or more expensive components will yeild a stronger result. However, if you are in a pinch - say...In the Outside, and you can't find an optimum Augmenting component, a Substitution can mean the difference between life and death. An example of such substitution would be using an alternate form of quartz. Such as replacing chalcedony with milk quartz - they're both light in colour and high in silica. Amethyst, for instance is quite perfect for dousing, whereas its less-esteemed counterpart crystal quartz, or clear quartz, is perfect for cleansing! the Art of Geometries deals in manipulating shapes and angles. There are two types of Geometrics: Inclusive and Inducive. Inclusive means that the power the shape holds takes effect on anything within the shape, whether it be Two-Dimensional or Three-Dimensional. These can easily be constructed around, drawn around, or the item placed within them to have a desired effect. Some are helpful and others hindering. The forms used to affect whatever they surround are called Shapes. Inducive means that the effect between two or more entities or bodies causes a form of energy or influence between them that will then affect any object caught in their path, or within their effect radius. These are most often applied to planets, stars, and forces like friction and gravity. As one becomes more adept, one can begin to spin lines of geometrics out of the essence in the surrounding world to fabricate these Inducive Geometrics. The reactions between the objects involved in Inducive Geometrics are called Aspects. Two-Dimensional shapes hold different properties than their three-dimensiaonal counter-parts. In this particular example, Circles are the most powerful of the protective Shapes. Circles are intensified if drawn with potent materials, such as salt for purification and against spiritual attack, blood against physical attack, purified water against monsters, and sacred earth against Outsiders. Spheres, on the otherhand, are clairvoyant, offering vision, clarity and foresight to scryers and prophets. As a rule they can contain concepts and energies, and not physical matter. The ultimate application arises from optimum positioning of the desired target at primal centre of the key Shape.

April Event - Lover's Duel Response
The duel was.... interesting. From a purely skills point of few, it was a fantastic fight. However, their emotional responses made me entirely too awkward. It was like I was seeing into their personal lives without meaning to. It was an entirely unnerving sensation.
I could never do that. Love or not. There's no way I would open up everything I possessed to the public and lay bare my feelings. That's entirely too... bold.
The whole idea of love itself is an entirely pointless thing, I think. Especially from where I'm standing. Everybody seems to have found someone. I'm the odd one out and nobody's interested in me. It's... a blow to my pride, I guess. I mean not a single flirt from -anyone-. Granted, I'm not interested in a relationship with a girl but friendship or a compliment would be nice sometimes.
Even after the duel, my sense of not belonging only grew and I found myself in a sort of numb fog. Everyone gathered together, seeking comfort from their partners and I.... I was left alone.
That always seems to happen. I don't know why. I'm pleasant enough. Happy to help. Willing be a friend. And I don't think I'm ugly.... am I? It's hard to tell. Even after so long here, I can count my friends on my fingers and even then they're more acquaintances then anything else.
I'd like some attention. I like for someone to either tell me that love is a fruitless pursuit, wrought with pain and anguish as I saw in the duel, or that there is somebody out there for me. Somebody who is genuinely interested in spending time with me. Either works and would settle my heart and mind, I think.
However, I doubt I'll hear either from anyone.
I didn'y enjoy the duel at all. Stirred up too much and I like to be happy.

Solo RP - Learning from the second set of books Notes from Library Books Magical Theory There are certain Spells that an Empyrean will gain permission to access at each level of their development. Below are listed the spells and their levels. When an Empyrean transcends to the next stage, three Spells may be chosen to learn. When a Spell is performed successfully against a monster or in a duel in the Arena three times, that Spell is considered usable by the Empyrean. If all three spells chosen by the Empyrean are mastered prior to their transition to a higher stage, additional spells may be chosen one at a time and practised until the transition is reached. Square - (Meaning: Two planets put on a 90 degree angle from each other.) Spell: A small circle is drawn, and divided into a Solar Cross. Two planets are put along the apeces of two arms of the cross at a 90 degree angle. Like Biquintile, the meanings of the two planets are combined to create a force. In Square, however, these energies can be directed at a target to block an opposing force of magic. Prevents 1 Point of Damage from being lost Trine - (Meaning: In astrology, 120 degrees between two planets on a chart.) Spell: Trine is perhaps the simplest Circle to draw, for is simply requires one ring inside a slightly larger ring with two spheres representing planets set on the ring 120 degrees apart. The aspects of the two planets chosen augment each other and enable the castor to focus the energy to target on the opponent and deal equal damage when the opponent's magic successfully hits the castor. This means that if in one turn, the opponent deals the castor 3 points of damage, the opponent will also be dealt three points of damage. Deals an equal number of Points of Damage to the opponent as received in the turn following the casting of Trine
Literature An Active sentence is one in which the actor moves or effects and object, by way of a verb. A Passive sentence is one in which an object is affected by another object by way of a verb. We use Active sentences to direct magic out at others, and Passive sentences to direct magic back upon our selves or our allies. It is important, when wording your spells, to make sure you word them correctly, or the effect may land upon the wrong target!
Physical Education Feint - A - Making a fake attack to psyche out your opponent or distract their attention while you strike your real goal. Throw - K - The act of tossing an opponent off balance or to the ground if they fail to recover. Focus - K - The skill of making a moving strike stop suddenly and be instantly solid. This is really important to learn so none o' you kiddies gets hurt.

Meeting Torrid Torrid tried not to lose his feet entirely as he tumbled into the space, giving a yell of indignant distress.Kallisto jumped as somebody tumbled into her, yelping as she shoved back reflexively. "What!? Where...?" She was confused. A moment ago, she'd been walking along quite peacefully and now she found herself entangled with someone. Blinking, she merely looked at Torrid, "Are you okay?"Torrid squawked again when he was shoved in return, quite confused and embarassed by now. "'m Sorry. ...!" He blinked, taking a second to regard the person he'd bumped into, and recognized her as a friend of Grave's. "Uhm. I'm fine... are you alright ?""Perfectly fine." She smiled, tilting her head to the side, making her pig tails bob, "Takes more then that to hurt me." Kallisto straightened up, brushing off her oufit and hands before offering a handshake, "I've seen you around in class but don't think I've talked to you before. You're one of Grave's friends right?" Torrid relaxed and regained his balance, relieved to see her smile. He offered a friendly one of his own in return, a touch of a flush to his cheeks as he brushed his palms off on his trousers. "I'm a lover of his, actually. 'n You? You're a pal of his, right?" Torrid took her hand and gave it a firm shake.Kallisto chuckled, "How many does he have? A whole harem?" She paused, looking embarassed that she'd spoken such a thing out loud. "Oh, I'm sorry! I... ah. heh." She nodded vigourasly trying to cover up her slip, "He and I agreed to help each other to the top - we both want to be Grigori, you know." Returning the shake, she leaned against the wall, "What do you want to be?"Torrid laughed a little sheepishly. "He has a few. It's a small number, I promise." His hands dropped to find his pockets and rest there. "Grigori eh? He's mentioned that to me once or twice, but I didn't know he had it planned out so solid. As for myself, well... I haven't really decided yet, but probably a gatekeeper.""A gatekeeper? That's interesting." She paused, to think not wanting the conversation to dry up so soon, "Oh! Have you completed Professora Raelyn's assignment? I might reserve a shard, I'm not sure. I'd like to see one before I decide."Torrid shook his head. "I haven't - it's intresting though, isn't it? I'd really like to see one too." He grinned at her. "What kind would you get?""I was looking at Omega Acid. I think it sounds like it has potential. Something spiky and swift, probably aggressive." She laughed, "Something feral. Though I probably sound rather nasty in hoping for a Golem like that. But if I'm going to be a Grigori, I think some sort of companion who's strong and fight-oriented would be invaluable." She nodded. He smiled, intrest piqued. "I don't think you sound nasty, just practical." Torrid crossed his arms over his chest and nodded. "A companion like that would make perfect sense for a Grigori.""It does doesn't it?" She smiled, "What one did you pick out?" She was truly interested. It was always interesting to hear other's views on things. "I would imagine the Golem of a Gatekeeper would be sharp eyed and obedient."He chewed his lip, furrowing his brow a tad. "Couldn't make up my mind... there were a few I liked." Torrid listed a few of them off on his fingers. "Cerebus collar, demonic horn, thor hammer...""Oh... yeah. I considered those too. Maybe you should flip a coin and choose that way. You'll know which one you want the most if you end up with one but find yourself wanting the other." She smiled, offering the suggesting with the air of one who'd done that very thing many a time. "Or maybe you'll be inspired by something and know for sure. It all depends I guess." Torrid felt a grin break over his features; the method was indeed one he knew well. "Yeah, I do that to decide what to eat for lunch. I'm not sure I want a golem at all, but I think a shard might make a really keen gift."
