attn Okay, firstly I have to say I am ANTI- Jell-O as the next person is... though it is not because of any reason you have presented. You hate something for all the wrong reasons. Do your research first. Now Jell-O is made from the boiled down pieces of what is left over, yes. Though someone said "they are our friends" well here is the thing. I admire the American Indians because they used every thing that was left. Well Jell-O is the meat eater’s way of using what can not be used. Sure it is an animals, sure some people get crazy peta over it. Sure some people think it is wrong, but we all know that we can’t stop the world from eating meat. The thing is would you want them to slaughter those animals and not use everything that they take? Would you really wish that companies left the unused parts of the animals to rot and go to waste? And you might say "What about the animals?" Well The animals are just another part of our would. When they die naturally their remains would just go back into the ground returning the nutrients to the earth. Their meat would be eaten by other animals called scavengers and decomposers. We are the only reason why most slaughter animals ever have life. We use that life to bring life to our own. That life to feed starving children. So here is the question I ask all those people I may have just offended what would you do? Starve children to death, or slaughter a animals to feed them what they would have otherwise never eaten? Your choice. I only hope you see my logic here. I am not saying lets slaughter all the animals. I'm not putting peta's ways down(just saying they are easy to make mad.) I am merely expressing a logical way to look at something you really have no reason to hate. After all hate is a horrible thing. Whether you are religious or not, I am not, most of us do not like hate at all. And really with the Jell-O... I just don't like the suger content. Are you seriously worried about the wasted parts? So if you go to a dinner party, and they have a whole roast chicken, and theres all these exxtra pieces left over so the host goes to thrown it in the trashcan. Would you really be like, "No, wait! Dont waste it! I'll eat it!!!!" Your ******** dumb, lady. Your argument is lame.

Hm... I can't exactly remember when I learned about gelatin, but it was sometime right before or after I became vegetarian two years ago. My mom was sitting on the couch and asked my father to look up what "gelatin" is. So he did. And I freaked out and "Ewwwwww!"d for ten minutes. I always read labels, no matter what. Even if it says "vegan", I check. Yeah, maybe I am over-paranoid. But if I know I can stop it, then that at least makes me feel good about what I am doing. As for what Attn wrote, I disagree. Native Americans used what they -needed- to survive, not what they -wanted-. We just slaughter animals because we want hamburgers and whatnot. No wonder why we are so fat. Yes, that was a blunt statement, but I can't help it. I suppose everybody has their own opinions, though, so I won't force you to listen to what I said.

-Abrasion I agree with you completely. even when I used to eat meat, ever scince I found out what gelatin was made of, i avoided it. Sometimes I tell little kids what jell-o is made out of. (i went with my little sister to a church picnic once) One of her freinds was getting food at the same time I did, and I told her what was in it. She said "good thing I never liked jell-o that's gross!" And younger kids always seem to be more compassionate than their parents in the meat eating category. Some may love it but once they find out how those animals live and such... they don't want to eat it. (except for my sister. =[ i don't think she's human..... heartless brute.)
