Back on board the flagship AITHNE, Fay greeted the dawn by ordering up a inspection of some of their sample goods "We'll need a message to Tanuki-Hime Hikojunya." she snapped to a Faye she saw in the corner standing alone. He shook "We're sending a formal invite I30 on their TR."

"Well, get the forms!" she yelled when he still stood there. The Faye bolted up the steps to a side cabin. She made a mental note to find his supervisor later.

Pale, would you be ever so kind as to spare a moment?

It never seemed to fail. Just as she was prepared to do something she was called away. And she really, really wanted to talk to Ultima. But Fay'd asked her and refusing without good reason...

More than a moment, I'll be there in thirty minutes.

Twenty minutes later Pale approached the ship and watched as the men made way for her to enter. It had been years since she'd been treated so and was a little thrown, but didn't let it show as she was brought to Fay.

"Go mbeire muid beo ar an am seo aris!" May we be alive this time next year. Fay greeted her, grinning widely as she sat by a table that already had two lagers on it. "I wasn't sure if you would come. It's good to see you again." Before Pale asked, she jumped to it: "I wanted to ask what you thought of an I30, and to tell you what's happening back home. You've been away too long, and it is cowardly for me to have underhand information and withhold it from a leader."

Fay was treating her like a Faye. She wouldn't even give that to Morgan (well, once when she had been the favorite of the Queen) and she was a citizen. "An I30? For who? I'd like to know about home before I approve or not." she sat down and took a sip.

"Gallahad is marrying a Saxxon to try and heal the fission. In addition, practices such as witch burning have been outlawed. He has made amends with the Vikings, and plans to use them to finally be able to trade with the Giants. In summary, the human kind may well become a power once again, as soon as the end of this fiscal year in fact." She gulped the strong and allegedly dwarvin beer down "in addition, it is rumored that one hundred of Hiko's daughters have been promised in marriage to the dolphin youkai of the east." The strange new Hindu youkai that even now the Fair Folk were in trade talks with were a great cause of concern "If they align, it could be disaster for luxury imports."

Another gulp

"It is for the Clootie. It should meet Quintilius, a fraction of any profits shall go to the Faye of course." everyone knew Youkai boats were worthless, and they would have to rely on Faye.

It was a lot to absorb. Fay had certainly leveled with her, but Pale knew that she would make it almost impossible to trade with the humans. Odd, talking about them as if they were a different species. "Fay, I have to ask you about Quin. Your tempers, your pride-" she wasn't worried about offending Fay, those were good qualities in generals "should he send a representative?"

"He can stand on his own." the lager was almost drained by now. It could have been her breakfast "I won't kill him when he stands for your nation. And he challenges correctly. If you ever are under attack however, I wouldn't put him in command. His ki is too young, I'm not sure if he can speak more than a paragraph in broadcasting as well.

She almost dropped her lager. "Oh s**t," she thought. Now Aes couldn't speak to his aunt because he'd figure it out and tell Daoin, and Pale would have to find Quin and see what the hell was wrong with him, and....

Nah, mines. Concentrate. Drama for later. Now she just had to wrap this up "I have no problem with the I30." Fay had probably already issued it anyways "Announce it when it arrives." Standing up, she motioned that she would show herself out

"Slán agus beannacht leat" Goodbye and blessings on you

Life is odd, life is strange; and only the Changer of Ways can see all that may be. Or that's what Quin had read, not to say that he didn't agree with the first parts; but to say he didn't think any being no matter how powerful could truly percieve every course that could happen in the universe.

What Quin did know was that things were going to be difficult with what was to happen next in talks. His only fortune being that he had been able to get a list of natural resources they have. Some of them would hopefully prove very interesting, though he did not think the most interesting would be too useful to them in its raw form.

Standing before the ship on the dock he waited at the appointed time.

Two men from the AITHNE came down and flanked Quin on either side. Indeed, it had the feeling of entering another country rather than just a ship. The Faye had been given strict orders that none were to leave unless given express permission from Fay. She had heard rumors of foreign elves in Black Amber land, which she knew could quickly become dangerous to the productivity of her mission. "The mortal," one of them said in a casually bored voice to a third man that stood at the entrance to the ship, he let them pass until Quin was standing outside the front of Fay's cabin. The door was opened and Fay motioned him in.

Paranoid by nature Quin covered up his concerns with a cheerful smile as he was escorted aboard the ship. He had hope to remain on neutral ground before the boat; but then things do not always happen as one would hope. Damn that Tzeen'neth.

When he was called, he responded; entering into her cabin he bowed his head slightly and looked towards her.

"I have been able to compile a list of natural resources sense yesterday."

Sitting at a desk (rather than the table that had been put out for Pale) she sipped from her lager. There was only one.

"That you want, or that you can provide?" another sip, it would take far more to get Fay intoxicated, and liked the particular brew.

"That we may provide."

Pulling from within his vest a slim note of paper he unfolded it and placed it upon the table Fay sat at. Upon it was written how much had been produced/mined so far.

"That is the first fiscal statement I have been able to get a hold of. Seeing as how we are knew in the greater world of economics we do not have much in quantity to give; but what we do have to give is large in bredth."

Motioning towards the paper before her, "Though I do not know what resources your people have need for what we have for trade is there. Amongst them we have quarry stone which we can use for many tasks from basic cements, to tiling, and general building construction. There are also some interesting mineral deposits that through magical means we can produce a light weight metal. Though what I find most interesting are pockets of natural gases that we have managed to tap and provide lighting for a number of the homes in the area."

"Can you fully speak for the mines?" she asked, wanting to know if the mines director and Quin had already spoken. The foreigners, those Elephant youkai were rumored to use gases in such ways. Doing so would cut down on their need for wood from the humans and youkai alike.

Most of the metallic minerals mined in the world, such as copper, gold, silver, lead, and zinc, are associated with magmas found deep within the roots of extinct volcanoes located above subduction zones. It made sense that Fay's land would be rich in those, while BA would not have as much. Yet he seemed disinterested.

"I do not read your alphabet," she announced, barely looking at it. It was more than that. Faye were incapable of it, their own studies had shown them that in the areas of the brain where youkai and humans read, Faye did not. They relied on the WIERDs and their brownies for documents.

"I can only speak for the mines within an economic sense as I am no expert on minerals such as the person who heads up that area of Black Amber. If you would like to know any defining qualities you will have to persue an inquiry with Ultima."

While Black Amber itself was not noted much for the actual land it sat upon there was an abudance of area that it claimed as its own around it. Those including a large moutain range, large strips of forests, and coastline that stretched for many miles.

At her profesion of not being able to read his language he picked up the document and placed it back within his jacket. "Then to whom may I present the document to for records?"
