It looks like it's not healing well [the industrial].

It looks like it's not healing well [the industrial].
It isn't... it doesn't hurt anymore, but I don't notice any improvement either... sad I think I'll put some different jewelry in it for a while to let it rest and heal. And when it's healed I'll put the bar back in.

I did it myself... one hole with a piercinggun and the upperhole with one of my mom's sewingneedles (because it was difficult to reach with a piercinggun). Not very wise, I know... sweatdrop But very cheap... wink

God I dont know how people can pierce themselves xd

Im weird, I love piercings, get them all the time *slightly exagerating* But my friend asked me to put in her earing and I shuderred and was like not a chance sorry. xp

that bugs you?
hm. i don't have a problem with that. but then, i watched a 2+ hour bone surgery on a dog with no problems (bone gets sawn in half, spread apart, holes get drilled into it, plate is screwed on, leg gets stitched closed.)
maybe i'm just really weird that way. but the idea of seeing that kind of surgery on a person creeps me out really really bad. ><
so maybe i'm not so strong. o.O

i've thought about piercing myself, but i dun't think i could do it. i'm a wimp. >< and i'd be afraid i would screw itup really badly.

... Don't ever do your own piercings. You didn't know what you were doing, so don't give me that bullshit, "I knew what I was doing". You didn't. Why? Because if you DID, you wouldn't have used a piercing gun - or a ******** SEWING NEEDLE.

God what the ********. What did you expect? Go see a god damn professional and get it done CORRECTLY.

I just can't stand people who post pictures of their stupidity on the internet.

And here's reasons as to why you shouldn't do it yourself or use a piercing gun. This is also posted in the FAQ and DO's and DONT's section of the Guild.

Q. Why don't you use piercing guns?

A. Piercing guns are made of plastic and cannot be sterilized. They would melt under the extreme heat and pressure of autoclave sterilization. Cold sterilization (soaking in a chemical solution) has not been proven to kill all blood borne pathogens and is not considered appropriate for body piercing. Microscopic particles of tissue, blood, and other potentially infectious materials may be present on a piercing gun from each use and can spread disease. A piercing performed with a needle is also considerably less painful than one done with a piercing gun. A piercing needle is hollow and laser sharpened. Piercing studs are solid and blunt. Instead of creating an incision, they tear the skin and split cartilage. Such tissue damage can result in an extremely long and difficult healing process. Typical piercing studs are not made of implant grade metals and poor metal quality can cause allergic reactions. Butterfly and barrel backs used on studs trap oil, dirt, bacteria, and hair against your piercing, causing numerous healing complications.

Q. Why shouldn't I pierce myself or have a friend pierce me?

A. Piercing involves a number of risks when performed by a professional. When performed by an amateur, these risks increase dramatically. Most doctors and nurses are not trained piercers and, as such, should be considered amateurs. A doctor is not a piercer, just like a piercer is not a doctor. Having the initials MD, RN, or LPN do not qualify an individual as a trained and experienced body piercing professional! Risks associated with body piercing include: migration, rejection, metal allergies, infections, severe bleeding, scarring, disease transmission, and many others. A professional piercer offers a hygienic environment and the knowledge to select jewelry that is appropriate in terms of metal content and design. If you want to alter your body, respect yourself enough to have it done safely and properly by a professional.

Damn.. you don't have to get so emotional about it... rolleyes
Ofcourse I knew it was better to have it done by a professional. But I couldn't afford that.
Please, don't start preaching, insulting my intelligence or saying that you can't stand me. I am intelligent and well imformed. I just don't mind taking any risks. sweatdrop
Thanks for your advice anyway.

Piercing and tattooing is supposed to be left to professionals only.

I get 'emotional' about it because I cannot stand morons. Especially those who flaunt what they do for the world to see. I don't see how it's productive to put your health at risk when you could just save up money and be patient to get it done without a high risk of infection, rejecting, or what yours is doing.

What's so hard to understand about that? If you don't mind taking risks, fine. But don't show off your unhealthy piercings here.

I'm not showing them off, I just thought I could get some help about how to make it better. And I can understand you can't talk to others in a normal tone. But never mind now. My piercing's doing better anyway. And don't pretend you know so much about piercings, when all you do is copy articles from other websites. I read all those articles too, so I knew perfectly well what I was doing. And having a studio doesn't make people professionals. You obviously don't know the bad work alot of studios give.

You really want to get cocky with me aye? Why do you think I put this guild together? For people to come together and learn, yes, and because I actually know a thing or two about piercings and inking. I'm going into the field. I know plenty. Just because I took information from websites doesn't mean I have no idea what it's about or what they say. I put it here because it's full of very good information.

No one ever said that owning a little shop made you a professional. But if they have a degree, use an autoclave, and sterilyzed piercing needles, then yes I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt as being professional.

But you want to get banned, so fine, you're ******** banned. We don't need people that make poor choices to make the rest of us look bad.
