The creeper bumped the hand that fed it with its nose and promptly curled up. If this was the sort of treatment it was going to get in thsi workd, it was never leaving!
Kadaj struggled to control his giggles. Oh all the things to witness... It was just too good. It didn't do a thing to help Mother, but it made him feel happy, so it was all good.
"What do you think Dem? Shall we keep it?

Err okay, this was interesting. The creature was...friendly? And as such Demyx was slowly calming back down. Pretty darn positive it wouldn't bite his hand off, Demyx slowly petted the creature.
"Erm...sure! It's friendly enough..."
Besides, having a pet with the ability to rip off limbs seemed like a great idea. At least people wouldn't pick on him.

Kadaj leaned back and rested his head against his arms. At some point in the future he was going to have to see how well and if Demyx's music could help control the Creepers. But that could wait. There were some mental games to play.
"So, what're you going to call him? And he'll be your responsibility to take care of, you know. Bathtime, walkies, feeding, all that fun stuff. The responsibility will be good for you both, I'm sure."

Still petting the Creeper, Demyx glanced over to Kadaj.
"I er....I dunno yet..."
He blinked a few times, giving it some thought. Darnit, he wasn't good at coming up with names so quickly!
"I don't mind the responsibility, I'll take good care of him!"
Now that the fear had passed, Demyx had taken quite a liking to the Creeper pup. It was, afterall, curled up harmlessly in his lap. And if one could get past it's...oddness...it could be seen as rather cute.
In some weird way...

Kadaj settled himself and closed his eyes. One ear twitched as he began to doze a bit.
"I'm sure you will. Now, be a good little minion and enjoy your cookies and Pixie Stix. I'm gonna take a small nap."

"Okay boss!"
Demyx planned what to do with his time while the boss slept. There were, afterall, cookies to be eatten (and perhaps shared with his new pet..), pixie stix to try, energy to burn, and maybe he'd even practice the water trick a bit. If he could further his skills, it was sure to bring more praise from Kadaj.
Oh yes...so very much to do...

Kadaj rarely dreamt when he slept. And when he did dream, it was usually him standing in front of Mother and listening as she read off all the ways that Sephiroth was the superior son.
This was one of those dreaming times. Honestly, if he had to listen to any more glowing recitations concernign his older brother, he was going to scream. Loudly.
Outside of his mind, Kadaj twitched and fidgeted as he slept. Occasionally, his legs would make runnign motions in midair. But mainly, he twitched.

Demyx, who had moved the Creeper out of his lap and was busy practicing with the water, glanced over at his boss as he twitched and ran in his sleep.
"Err...boss? You okay?"
Dismissing the water bubble, Demyx slowly crept closer, being sure to stay out of kicking range should Kadaj start the running again.
"Boss...?"
Tilting his head, the blonde watched Kadaj carefully. He seemed...distressed...as he slept, and if Demyx could do anything to help the silver haired one, he would.

Oh goody, Kadaj's dreaming mind thought, we've reached the point where Mother attempts guilt. Joyous. So Sephiroth had nearly destroyed a planet. Whoop. He'd also gotten himself killed. Kadaj preferred good plannign to brute force.
He heard a voice nearby, just barely within the range of hearing. It sounded worried. And about... him? Well, it wouldn't be Mother then.
Kadaj twitched a tiny bit more, his legs making one last attempt at runnign before he gave a small sigh and appeared to sink into a more dreamless sleep.

Seeing that his boss had settled down, Demyx crept closer. The blonde catboy snuck around behind the silver haired one, tilting his head to examine Kadaj's sleeping form.
"Boss? You're okay....right?"
He really was worried. He didn't want anything bad to happen to Kadaj, and mere moments before his sleeping body had seemed rather distressed. Slowly, he reached out one gloved paw and gently petted Kadaj's head. Maybe that'd further calm him down and let the boss get some sleep...
Or cause him to wake up and chew him out, one or the other.

Kadaj whimpered softly in his sleep, instinctively moving closer to the source of comfort he could sense through the mists of sleep. He wasn't sure what it was, but it was soothing.

Kadaj murmured, "Sleep" as he napped. He didn't know what was happening outside of himself, but he did know that the dreams of Mother were being kept away. As far as he was concerned, this was a good thing.

Demyx kept up the petting, and would stay nearby and watch over Kadaj as he slept. Fidgety and spastic as the blonde could be, he didn't like seeing his boss so upset, so he'd force himself to sit still and watch over him for however long it took.

Kadaj slowly began to come awake. He felt someoen petting him on the head. That was hardly the way he normally awoke. Cracking open one blue green eye, he saw Demyx and just had to ask...
"Umm? Why are you petting me? Not that I don't appreciate the attention, but I am curious..."
