Hogosha No Juunikyuu Nah. I know him cause he works in the book store where I buy all my manga from 3nodding Well ask him if he remembers a drunken guy in a No Fear sun hat &...hang on that won't really cut out many people there. I'll get a photo so you can slowly wave it for side to side & slur things. Then ask him if it's familiar.

Auf Der Maur... I saw them support a Perfect Circle and they bored me to tears.
In my opinion she sounds far better on record than live.

Had a crowd moment about being at Reading for her 2nd ever gig 10 years back with Hole & I remembered being there. Plus we had very similar hair by that point of the Weekend, perhaps it was a bonding moment rather than the music. See now watching A Perfect Circle made me want to scream why did you come here to do this not Tool! Which is harsh because they're not bad, just not as good.

Tool and A Perfect Circle are completely different though. It is annoying that Tool don't release stuff as often but Tool are far more technical and I think they pour their souls into it artistically. With the videos directed by Adam Jones it's like a complete artistic package.
A Perfect Circle are much more relaxed and less pretentious (don't get me wrong, I love Tool's pretension razz ). They are funny and interact with the audience live. I've seen Tool only once and APC 4 times (once with original line-up). It's a very different experience to just seeing Maynard's silhouette for the whole set and none of the band members saying a word!

The '94 Hole set was absolute chaos, the sound was dire & Courtney Love was wasted. Plus given they were there to pay tribute to her recently deceased hubby she spent a lot of time with Evan Dando. It sticks in the mind but not for artistic reasons xd I admit they're different & do own APC recordings, but *shrugs* I just would rather see Tool

Me too if givven the choice. 3nodding Tool take ages to tour though and that isn't the fault of APC. A friend of mine told me he heard that APC was Maynard's idea of a joke. surprised

Some of the black looks I got when I mentioned wanting to watch the Distillers set... *shudders The joke bit wouldn't surprise me in the least, he is a strange if talented man. Would explain the hair.

Not a fan of The Distillers, but not because of Brody. Just don't enjoy the music. She looks a lot like Courtney Love though...
