voidmage its kindof like a shapeshifting demon thing Not really. Although some demons can take the form of people, a Doppleganger is a specific entity. Basically, it's a spirit-being that feels some kind of jealousy toward a person, and take on their shape to either enact revenge or simply take their place. One legend says that a doppleganger is a ghost that the person had offended, and the spirit menaces the person, forcing them to remain awake until they're so weakened that they can't defend themselves. Then, the doppleganger takes their form by possessing the actual body.

I am actually having a doppelganger problem he just wont frickin leave this the second one and I have run out of mirrors i cant get rid of him help please

Oh, my I think my friend and I might have seen a doppelganger, of my friends mum, yesterday. I dint even think of it at the time, but seeing this thread it’s really quite freaky. I’ll have to mention to my friend (she probably think I’m crazy being a Jehovah whiteness and all, but still).
Could this be something bad? I don’t know a lot about doppelgangers.

I’ll have to mention to my friend (she probably think I’m crazy being a Jehovah whiteness and all, but still). Could this be something bad? I don’t know a lot about doppelgangers. From what i can rememeber they're only dangerous or a sign of death if seen by the person that they look like. To see one that looks like someone you know shouldn't mean anything. I think.

I have a problem with the half of a mind oyu die, the Dopplegangers wouldn't exsist, and i know they do, It is not subconcious, i already know of my other half and i'm obviously not the Doppleganger, but i know some, and i know their real counter parts, strange creatures they are

I've never honestly looked too deep into these things; all that I know about them has pretty much been covered already. They seem interesting, though, with a fair amount of sightings.

Shanna66 dopplegangers, what are they? well, i have an idea i believe that each person has 2 personalities, one is the normal one, the other is deep in the subconcious. when you hear of people seeing their dopplegangers its their subconcious causing them to see their otherselves. you see, the other self wants dominence and eventually becomes strong enough to be seen by the person. the two halves of the mind then "duke" it out for dominence. only one wins, the other loses, and so disapears, leaving only one half of the mind. and since the body cant function with only half a mind, the person dies. so, what do you think? so everyone has an other self, and without it they would die, yin and yang, thats it right?
