Quickly burying her sadness, Israel laughed at his imitation of his mother.
"She can't be as bad as all that," she said through her giggles. Though if she thought back to the few times he did mention his mother, she did seem a bit... snobbish? Still giggling lightly, she rose to her feet and collected her trash.
"You wanna go for a walk or something or are you in need to get back to doing whatever it is you do when we're not together?" she asked him with a wink.

Glad to see her laugh Giani also grabbed his trash and followed her towards the door. "A walk sounds good." He grinned back putting his hands in his pockets. "And you make me sound like some kind of enigma." He said with a lighthearted smirk. "All I honestly do it paint. I don't lead such a dramatic life, breaking guys hearts and burning kitchens down."

Israel glared at Giani and playfully smacked his shoulder. "Have a heart will you?" she said, slipping her arm through his. "I'm sensitive about my tragic cooking experience, thank you very much," she grinned up at him.
"So have you found anyone else willing to be a model for you?" she asked as they walked out into the sunshine.

Giani laughed and tightened his arm on hers. "I'm sorry dolce, I had no idea it was so traumatic." Out in the sunshine he narrowed his eyes a little to combat the glare. "No, no one has caught my eye quite as much as you did." Again he smirked and looked out over the campus. "You know what would be perfect on today? Ice cream. Shall we go for a walk along the river and try to find some?"

Israel laughed at the thought of her cooking experience being traumatic, even though it really could have been. At least Xel had been patient enough to teach her properly so maybe this time it wouldn't turn out so horribly.
"You read my mind I think," she smiled up at him. "Ice cream would be so nice, and I've have not been down to the river yet."

Giani nodded and lead her off campus. It really was a beautiful day the sun shone high causing the river to look almost silver. Although the cherry blossoms were long gone purple wisteria hun from wooden frames dotted along the river.
Luckily they didn't have to go far to find an ice cream stand. Taking out his wallet, Giani looked at the interesting flavours. "What would you like dolce? My treat."

Israel peered down and thought hard for a moment. She had never had what appeared to be green tea before.
"A scoop of that one," she smiled, pointing down at the one she wanted. After both she and Giani had been served and Giani had paid, she again looped her arm through his as they strolled down to the river bank.
"Does it ever bother you whenever I'm so up front with you?" she asked, genuinely curious. So far he seemed to not mind it, but she wanted to be sure he wasn't just being polite.

Giani also chose Green tea flavour, licking the bottom as they made their way down to the river. Listening to her question he shook his head. "No, I don't mind." He said glancing sideways at her with a smile. "I like honesty and a fresh personality." He glanced back at the relfections on the water. "I may not be so up front, but ask me anything and I will tell you my honest answer." He gave her one of her cheeky smirks. "I have nothing to hide."

"Obviously," she grinned. "You definitely don't have anything to hide," she smirked, stepping in front of him and giving him and obvious once over with her green eyes. She returned them to his and gave him a small wink as she licked her ice cream. She reached for his free hand and took it in hers to pull him down to sit next to her on the ground. She pulled her hand from his and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"So what's the most romantic thing you've ever done for a girl Giani?" she asked, watching the river flow and the reflections of the trees and wisteria wavering on the water's surface.

Giani caught the meaning of her words and watched her eyes on him. Raising an eyebrow he smiled his cheeky smile. "Niether do you dolce." He said catching some of his ice cream on his finger and licking it off with a raised eyebrow and a jokey laugh.
Putting his arm around her he continued to eat the bitter ice cream, watching the ripples. "My last girlfriend, for her eighteenth birthday, I took her to Capri for the day. It is a beautiful Island where I live. It was raining, but we went down to the beach and spent time in this little cafe. Eating and talking. Watching the stormy sea. Then we went up to the cliffs and watched the sky turn purple as the sun set behind the clouds. Just two of us." He smiled warmly at the memory. "It sounds so cheesy and boring, but it was a good moment for me. Such a peaceful day."
He tried to think of his next question. "What do you consider romantic?" He asked smiling. "In your mind when you hear the word, what do you see>"

Israel listened to him and smiled as she pictured the scene in her mind. It sounded truly wonderful and incredibly sweet. She glanced up at him when he called it cheesy and gave her head a little shake.
"Stop saying you're cheesy and boring Giani. You're far from it," she smiled, looking back out at the river. She continued to eat her ice cream as she thought on his question for a moment, leaning comfortably under the weight of his arm.
"Romantic," she said softly, trying to get the word to conjur up what it meant to her. "Anything purely from the heart. You can't plan romance. Something like what you did for your girlfriend. Sure, you probably planned on taking her to Capri, but you had no control of the weather and you didn't make a huge deal out of it. You just let it happen." Or like watching the sunset or the river, she thought with a smile.

Giani listened and smiled. "I think I have to agree." He said softly. "Spontaneous things are best." In silence he continued to eat his ice cream. Biting into the cone he watched a family of ducks swim past and listened to the people passing behind them. He loved peaceful moments like this.
Finishing his cone he lay back with his arms above his head and watched her eat, crowned by the sunlight. "Do you like movies?" He asked rather ramndomly.

Israel watched him lie back and pulled her knees up to wrap her arm loosely around them. As she nibbled on her cone she watched some purple wisteria petals wash down the river. At his question she smiled, but continued to watch the river.
"Yes. I love movies. Especially comedies. I love to laugh," she chuckled lightly and glanced down at him over her shoulder. "What about you?"

"Me too." He said smiling. "I love crazy movies, if I feel sad I always watch funny movies." Continuting to watch her he kicked his shoes off and wiggled his toes in his socks. It was far too warm for such restrictions. "How long have you died your hair?" He asked watching the way the red flecks caught the light. "It's such a cool colour."

Israel giggled as he wiggled his toes and finished off her cone. Stretching out beside him, she leaned her head on her palm and peered down at him.
"Let's see... I was twelve when I cut my hair... and then fourteen I believe was the first time I dyed it. So... two years now," she said scrunching up her nose as she thought about then smiling down at him and reaching up with her free hand run it through her hair. "And thank you. My mother hates it with a passion. She had me keep my hair long for the longest time, and then one day I got sick of it dragging in my paint and cut it all off myself. That was not a fun day in the Sophronia household, though my father was really amused. I dyed it red after my father died. I kind of went through a red and black stage during that time," she said with a warm smile.
