Temari smiled happily and nuzzled Jamaa before standing slowly and sighing. It had been a little bit now, too long where she had hidden that she was hurt and that she was wounded and that she was pained. Grunting slowly, she walked out into the rain again slowly and looked up at the lightning in the sky as her coat was completely soaked agian. As long as it didn't look like she was crying she was probably okay, the wind wasn't shoving her like it was the trees, it wasn't battering her the way it was laying the trees down to the ground. All it did was whip around her lightly and wipe the tears from her eyes as she was soaked.
She was tired, and all of the running had opened her wound again. The ground beneath her was already turning red from her blood that was running down her right leg. Stuck inside of her shoulder was the arrowhead that Jamaa had twisted and ripped her muscles with. He hadn't meant it, but when he'd ripped that arrow from her he'd broken the arrow and twisted it into the muscles that she relied on. She could still run, but not as fast anymore, probably never again in fact.
A low groan worked it's way from her muzzle and Temari lowered herself down slowly to her side. The rain pierced into her would and she let out a strangled yelp when she tried to cover it up. She hurt, she hurt a lot now. ninja

Jamaa watched as the female rose to her feet a exit the den. Maybe she needed a little time alone, he did often. Wonder what she was thinking about? He looked down at Yakuti's sleeping body, happily blissful. He wanted their lives to be just the same, but then again one can't always get what he wants.
Jamaa now had this time alone too. What will Dhati do if he found out about today? Will Temari tell him? Will he ask questions....or even expel Jamaa. Hey, he was to change, right? So what is with the questions? He needed to look on the brighter side of things.
He had Temari to love and care for. Yakuti is still here, at least, and there is that other Hyena that looks after him, Pagao or something? The pack is doing well and his duty to his family might be carried on by te next generation of luck allows. Jamaa smiled. Looking on the brighter side of things gives fuzzy feeling.
Thirsty, Jamaa went into the den-owner's chamber and drank from the semi-muddy watering hole he made not too long ago and bathed in. The water was bad tasting but it was enough to quench his thirst for the time. Jamaa returned to the main chamber to see Temari still outside in the same spot. Maybe he should go talk to her. The taller wolf went to her.

the golden dog writhed in pain as the rain pelted down into her open wound. Already she could feel that her wound was infected, but she didn't care anymore. She let out another strangled yelp and thrashed as she bent over to dig into her wound again, trying to find where the arrow head was at. With a hard shiver, she tried to pull some of her skin away from where she thought it was and her teeth shot pain through her entire body.
She let go with a loud yelp and flopped onto her side with a sigh.
"I'm never going to run again am I?" She asked the wind as she cried silently. Her daughter was gone and now she wouldn't be running with the wind anymore. Aside from her two boys and Jamaa she'd lost it all. And it was killing her. With a loud howl she thrashed about and tried to dislodge the arrow again. ninja

Jamaa appeared over her shoulder and placed his paw onto her head. Jamaa was going to do something he really didn't want to but the way his mate was in now, it would be for the better....or worse.
"Temari, do you want Jamaa to do it?" he asked. "It is Jamaa's fault." the dog added. If it wasn't for this fit of rage when he discovered Kizaki was pupnapped, this would not have happened. Jamaa awaited an answer before he could proceed with the painful plan he had in mind to relieve of her pain and replace it with a new one.

Panting slightly as she was shoved to the ground, Temari let out a soft grunt and took a deep breath. The paw on her head made her want to fight against it and she grumbled for a moment.
"This is going to hurt isn't it? Go ahead, and yes, I blame you." She grunted out, it hurt to breath now because her shoulders rose and fell with every breath. Her jem eyes glittered with every lightning strike and she sighed as she looked over her shoulder at him. "Please try not to make it hurt too badly."
To try and keep herself from noticing too much pain, she focused on the lightning strikes in the air. They were reflecting how she felt right now. ninja

This has happened to Jamaa quite a few times but with thorns. His father was always able to get it out, but it usually hurt. However if Jamaa made even the slightest noise he was severely punished. Perhaps that was why he couldn't cry in front of her, because of the fear of his father was instilled in him.
This process was a little unorthodox. First Jamaa laid next to Temari, body facing the wound. Jamaa pressed his nose in places where he thinks the arrow was originall was. Finally his nose stopped when he smelt the faint scent of the strone foreign object. There was a slight gap where the wound opened again, (the blood was everywhere so it wasn't as easy as it would seem). Jamaa ran his tongue across it a few times, ears spayed back. If they weren't both calm then this will hurt more than it needs to. If only Yakuti was here to distract her. When he felt he was calm enough, and Temari was as well. He pulled his head back, slightly bloody at the nose, and smiled.
Jamaa let out a loud growl as he quickly drove a mere hald an inch of his muzzle tip into the small wound and quickly withdrew.
There it was, the sharp pointed arrow head that was once embedded into Temari's shoulder stuck snuggly in Jamaa's bloody stained, and wet, maw. But in his eyes, there was fear and sorrow...and pain.

Temari laid there for a long moment as he licked at her wound and messed with it. She wasn't about to admit that it didn't hurt, in fact she whimpered a few times when he touched it. But when he burrowed his muzzle down inside of her shoulder she squealed and almost wrenched away from him. Her body thrashed and writhed in pain, her paws spreading and tightening as she worked to sit up. The second she did though pain shot through her and she flopped back down to her side again with a loud grunt.
The female wild dog whimpered at an almost constant rate from the pain and she thrashed again before settling down and sighing. She was bleeding worse now, though her wound was still really infected she was just... tired. Closing her eyes, Temari sighed and slumped. ninja

Maybe....he did it wrong. Jamaa sniffed at her, nudged her and then a worried lick. Frightened, Jamaa walked many laps around her, bending down every other moment. Did he kill her? Maybe the pain was too much for her. What has he done?!
Oh no....oh no oh no oh no, I didn't....this isn't suppose to happen. Oh no! the golden eyed dog panicked as he walked around his collapsed mate. What was he going to do? What if Dhati found out!?
Suddenly, the brown wild dog got hit with a slight reliezation. If Temari was going to die, then he will be there with her, regardless of what happens to him. Jamaa curled up against her to keep her warm as the two were hit with rain and wind. Was this it?
Jamaa whined softly and then murred as he drifted away, head buried in her fur. Hopefully, after this rain, a brighter day will come about.

The golden female let out a slow whimper and curled further into Jamaa gently when the world swirled back to her. Everything hurt so badly, the world shimmered in front of her glazed over eyes and she gasped gently. Lifting her head slowly she looked over at her large blanket of a mate. He was petrified, she could tell he was asleep, so it was probably best that she just let him.
Closing her eyes again, she licked the top of his head and laid a leg over her mate's body. It was a way of pulling him closer though he wasn't awake. Letting out a heavy sigh, the female wild dog curled closer to him and fell asleep herself. Out in the rain where the wind fluffled their fur and kept them dry. ninja

A particularly loud crack of thunder woke up the sleeping hyena. He realized that neither Jamaa or Temari was in the den anymore and jumped up, where had they gone? He looked outside and saw them both lying on the ground, Temari bleeding terribly. They both seemed to be asleep, but why out here? Did something happen to keep one or both of them from getting back inside?
Were they still alive?
He stood in the entranceway of the den, watching them as the wind and rain battered them, either they were in a very deep sleep, they didn't care, or they were... gone...
He whined sadly, if they were asleep, would it be better to let them stay that way, or was it too dangerous for them to be just lying there? He walked slowly out of the den, and saw that they were breathing, he lay down next to them and kept watch for anything that may come their way. He saw a tiny figure of a lost little meerkat, as it scurried about, confused and scared, he knew how it felt, and sympathised, normally he would have taken advantage of the confused creature and eaten it, but he knew too well what it was feeling, and let it alone.

Jamaa idly reached over Yakuti and pulled him close. He whispered something that was tuned out by the weather's din. It was somewhere along the lines of "Sleep, kid." but maybe not.
Jamaa withdrew his paw and laid his head happily onto his bleeding mate. His blood stopped and eventually her's will too. Jamaa felt like a pup then for the first time in his life he felt like he could show his immaturity that was pent up for so long. He smiled as he drifted off into his blissful sleep.

Well, as long as they were alright, Yakuti saw no reason why he shouldn't take Jamaa's advice and go to sleep, so he lay down next to him, closed his tired eyes, and drifted off.
It really wasn't too bad... Sleeping in the rain, it was really quite relaxing compared to sleeping on the hard, dry, hot ground. The pup decided that he would eventually make his own den, and give it a hole in the roof so that he could sleep under the rain occasionally. Knowing that he was going to be safe, he slept happily.
