Telor Roisper Quaris Telor Ehjra I'm really not sure how to feel about this topic... Each side has some good points... I'm undecided...
I do know, though, if I were to become pregnant, abortion wouldn't even be an option. I know I'd be haunted for the rest of my life with "What if." Life is a precious thing. I can't let it be taken away from somebody by my own choosing. It's not my life to take. gonk
I won't try to push my opinions on anybody else. I won't be mad at anybody for making different choices. That's where I'm undecided, kinda. I like the way my mom put it. "It's not my job to pass judgement, it's God's." (Don't start any arguments on religion, please. D= ) That's my view on things like homosexuality and stuff like that, it's not my place to judge. I'm not God's hall monitor. Yeah, that. And the fact that two men shagging each other is the hottest thing ever whee heart ... Roissy is pro-choice and never having kids. But she's gonna stay out of this arguement >>; I have nothing against gay people, some of my best friends are gay. My own brother's gay, for ******** sake. xd I love him to death, and he's the biggest f** ever. Your brother's a cigarette?

Lord Setar Murder: The illegal killing of a person with malice aforethought. So no, it's not murder. Simply killing isn't murder. For it to be murder it has to be illegal killing of a person with malice aforethought. I believe it is as follows...first-degree is premeditated, second degree is you murdered someone unintentionally but you did intend to do them extreme harm, manslaughter is accidental, like say hitting a pedestrian. Well, if saying "I'm going to kill this person!" before killing them is malice, then some people could say that having an abortion is murder. I mean, if you go into a clinic with the intent to have an abortion, you have the thought in your mind, and it's theoretically "malicious." Some people could think that any kind of killing someone is murder, so... Yeah. I mean, you don't -accidently- have an abortion. o_o; That's not an abortion, it's a sad, sad thing. D:
It all depends on your view of when life begins and all that. xP In -your- view, it's not murder because you don't view the thought of abortion to be "malicious." However, someone who DOES think its wrong, could see it as murder... y'know?

Lord Setar Still has to be illegal though. Mmn.
Murder: Killing that is morally reprehensible and brutal, or an instance of this
That's one of the definitions in my dictionary. ^^; Yes, the definition you quoted is in there, too. In the definition I quoted, though, it could apply to the people who call it murder because abortion is against their morals and therefore...
Also, the "illegal" thing-- people just loop that in with killing a person. ^^; And if they see the unborn as a person, then that's their choice, yeah?

"Murder is both a legal and a moral term, that are not always coincident. It may be legal to kill, but still murder in the moral sense. Opponents of the death penalty argue that it is simply murder by the state. Proponents of limited government argue that moral murder is never legal murder unless and until the government meets the limits and standards required of it, such as due process, proof beyond a reasonable doubt, trial by jury, appellate review, etc."

Exactly. (To everything Satah and Telor said... xd Although I didn't realise f** was only a slang word for ciggarette here.)
Just because the law says it's ok, doesn't mean it is. Just because the law has loopholes in that people exploit to get around justice, doesn't make that right.
Law is one thing. Justice is another. Morals are another altogether, and whatever else comes into this. ^^;
I believe ANY killing of a fellow human being is wrong, wether that be intentional or acidental. Just because I acidentally drop a large cement block on a passer by's head, doesn't make it right. That person still shouldn't have died from that.
Setar, you cannot argue with definitions of words on this. Well, you can, but it's rather thoughtless and heartless for you to do so. We are talking about humans with emotions here (both mother and child, their freinds and family and the mother's partner) not just words in a dictionary.
