Earako looked up at Keanu, squinting a bit, even through her glasses. She managed a slow smile up at him, showing off her small fangs as she did so. Reaching out, she took the parasol, opening it carefully and moving it so that it kept the sun from her face. "Thank you."

Still feeling dizzy and weak, she decided, none the less, that it was a good time to stand up. Knowing full well that she might not do the best job of it on her own, she held up her free hand hopefully. Maybe he'd help her up? And if he didn't she'd just figure it out on her own. Or something.

"Water? Cold water?" The request was given hesitantly, but with the boy so willing, it seemed stupid not to take him up on his offer. If her favorite liquid was the warm wet blood of the steaks she could sometimes talk her father into leaving very rare, she tried not to mention that all that often. Vampire bat or not, she knew when something was wierd. "I could come with you?"

A question, as she wasn't entirely sure how good she would be at walking just now.

He nodded lightly s she took the object and opened it. "My pleasure." Upon Earako holding out her hand to be helped up he took it far more lightly than usual. When dealing with such things one to be careful not to break them, thus it wasn't like when he was with Ymir(who was more sturdy than Keanu anyway), or even Ikurai. Nope, he had to be like the heros in the book, know when to be rough and when to be caeful. With a princess it was the latter. He didn't want to snap her like the boards in classes afterall. ((Those boards are easy to break anyway, I used to take a martial arts class.))

After carefully tugging up to help her, though not a quick jerk. That wouldn't do either, a gradual thing so she didn't lose her balance. There were a lot of rules for being around royalty, or so it seemed anyway. At the mention of her decision he nodded. "Alright then, I'll go get tha for you, miss." Though her next question caught him a bit off guard. Did a princess usually come along on things like that..? That didn't seem quite like the books, but then again. He couldn't refuse her request either, right?

"If that's what you'd like, Princess." He replied after a moment smiling as he did. Before a nudge on his leg caught his attention momentarily.

Obviously Ymir had been paying attention to them and had been listening. For he'd meandered over as Keanu headed back to ensure his partner didn't go off without him. "Chrr?" He eyed the two curiousl a moment before giving a light yawn. Naptime was over, back to keeping Keanu out of trouble.

Back on her feet, Earako shifted dizzily, clinging tightly both to Keanu's hand and her parasol. Finding her balance, she loosened her grip, without completely letting go of his hand. "I don't want you to get me things by yourself."

She tried to be as firm as possible as she said it, with herself as much as with him. She wouldn't let him run all over for her, she just wouldn't. She was a good girl, and that meant being nice, not bossy. She was pretty sure that princesses weren't supposed to be bossy either, though she obviously didn't know as much about them as he did.

Maybe, after this, she'd ask her Da' about princesses, and how one went about being one when they weren't the daughter of a queen or anything.

Ymir's return summoned another smile for her, though the necessity of focusing on keeping her feet meant that it was a bit fainter than what she had offered before. Still, even just having her parasol back was helping with the dizzy feelings.

"Where is there water?"

Keanu grinned happily as the girl was now back on her feet. Mind you it took her a moment to be stead, but that was fine. It was how a princess should be right? He simply assumed so before shaking his head at her words "Don't let it bother you, I'm happy to help you." He quickly.

Ymir was more than happy to take the smile as a possibly of more attention. Plus the shade cast by the parasol was rather a plus in the dragon's eyes, thus he stuck rather close to the bat's other side ducking in as close as he could without tripping her. He didn't quite like the sun either. Common ground was good, no matter who it was between.

"It's just a bit this way." Keanu lifted his hand to point off in the direction he'd come from. The large sign that marked the shop could be seen even if the actual machine couldn't be. "It's just across the street." He added as an after thought, and began walking. Though he did bother to go a bit slower than usual, and no running. Courteous to the princess, good manners. Well as good as he ever had anyway, Raja had stated that he was a bit of a lost cause with that one. Apparently the parent had bigger worries.

"The machine keeps the water cool, so it shouldn't be a problem." And now that he remembered it, he actually did have some money with him. He usually was given money to get a drink after classes anyway. There were other machines along the way, so this wouldn't be a problem at all. And botled water would be more fitting for a princess, right? All those ads said that it was cleaner than normal water. It all looked and tasted the same to him though, but as he kept telling himself. It was likely different with royalty, more refined tastes or something.

"Thank you." Gratitude expressed a second time, just to make it clear that Earako was grateful for Keanu's kind treatement. Glancing back over her shoulder, she saw Kyle watching them, and gestured with her umbrella toward the indicated destination.

A shrug and a nod gave her the answer she needed, though she knew that he'd still be following from afar. It was just what Kyle did. What everyone in her family did. She wasn't completely unaware of the special treatment she got for the femininity that so confused her family. They certainly weren't as rough with her as with her cousins. Perhaps that was why she was at least somewhat able to accept the boy's deferential behavior.

It was easy to keep pace, despite her lingering dizzy feelings, he was going slow enough that she didn't feel like falling behind. There was a dragon on one side of her, a nice helpful d-corp boy on the other, and the bat girl couldn't help but giggle softly at the situation.

Heat aside, life was just so... nice!

"I'm glad I met you and Ymir today. You're nice." Still young, and obvious compliments came with an ease she might very well shed when she got older. But not yet. "I wish everyone was so nice."

He nodded without a word at the words absolutely beaming. He'd done well, he was doing a good job as a hero. At least he figured, the princess was thanking him afterall. The boy didn't bother to look back as the girl dealt with the other chaperone, so long as there wasn't some sudden issue it was fine afterall.

With the lack of the man's voice suddenly yelling for them to stop his only concern was not to tire the young princess. Glancing over briefly he made sure she wasn't being bothered by the speed he was going, and it seemed fine. Excellent all was well with the world, or almost. He still needed to retrieve the water for Earako, that was right.

Ymir walked along at his normal pace for a moment, something akin to keeping up with Keanu's stride before noticing that they were going nice and slow. Thus the dragon slowed himself to fall back into the shade he'd had earlier. Taking it easy for once wouldn't be so bad anyway.

Keanu blinked a moment at the next statement before rubbing the back of his head. "Thank you very much, that means a lot coming from a princess liek you." He replied before glancing ahead a moment to check if they were getting close. There was the street, not long now. "We just want to make the world a better place for everyone, so I'm glad you think that." It really did mean a lot that a princess thought he was worthy of praise, for who's word could be worth more than royalty to a hero.

And there was the street, right across it was the little store and the machine. They just needed to wait on the crosswalk. Except for the problem that Keanu never waited at street corners. So off he went toward the street at the same pace as before. There weren't any cars coming at the moment, just his luck. Hopefully the case would stay the same.

Make the world a better place? That was what Da' said he was trying to do, when he went out at night. Earako bit her lip, considering the boy she walked next to with a more critical gaze. She wasn't sure she wanted him to be like Da', no matter how much she loved her parent. Da' had sharp bits and edges that her new friend didn't, and she didn't like the idea of him gaining them. "That's good," she said at last, though her voice was a bit more hesitant. "Don't forget that you're nice, okay?"

And what that meant, even Earako couldn't fully explain.

Having never been given the 'look both ways' and 'don't cross against the light' lectures, Earako didn't even hesitate when Keanu began to stride confidently across the street. The world was still safe in her eyes, cars weren't a danger, just a background to her adventures. She had a hero with her, and therefore, everything would be fine.

Who ever heard of the princess getting hurt after the hero had come to the rescue?

Keanu wouldn't have had the slightest thought of the rougher edges that he might, or might not gain in the future. The idea was to be a good person, but know when to stop someone. Mainly stop the bad people. It was simple in his head. Certainly in reality things would be a bit more complicated, but for now it was black and white to him. "Why would I forget that? How can anyone be a hero if they aren't nice as well?"

Ah, and there they where right across the street. Safe as rain. It didn't take long for them to reach the machine and Keanu quickly hunted for the coins in his pocket. The same change that he always had. After he dug out all of it he quickly dropped the set of coins into the machine until the right amount for the beverages lighted up. "Alright there, now you can choose whichever one you want, Princess." He stepped to the side indicating the list of drinks. It carried a variety of sodas, and juices that proclaimed to be energy drinks. Stuff that Keanu tended not to like much. He usually just got water, but of course a Princess must have the option of whatever she wanted.

"I dunno." The young bat answered, because she didn't. The complexities weren't exactly something that she'd examined. But not all heros were nice, she knew that. Maybe it was one of those things you figured out when you were older. Maybe she should ask Kyle

It didn't matter. Keanu was nice, and he'd said he'd stay that way. Besides, they'd reached the store, and she was supposed to pick something to drink. That sounded nice. She was still dizzy hot in the sunlight. After considering the choices for a second, she went with her original impulse, and pushed the button for water. Somehow, cold water always felt colder than everything else.

She took the bottle from the machine, but after doing so promptly held it out to Keanu, looking at him expectantly. The twist caps were always too hard for her, and usually her Da' opened them for her. "Can you open it, please?"

He shrugged off the topic at that. The matter was that he wouldn't change, and there wasn't more to it. He couldn't succeed at saving people if they hated him. So it was basic nature to be nice while saving people. The only ones who would hate him were the bad people he had to fight. It really did seem quite simple.

At being offered the bottle he was momentarily confused. It was for her afterall, though the request cleared up that confusion. "Not a problem, princess." He took the bottle and quickly twisted the cap. The mildly audible sound of the plastic giving way signaled that the job was done. So with that done he handed back the bottle. He was used to opening the bottles since he did come to that machine a lot. No bottle had bested him yet... Which was likely a good thing.

Seeing as the mission was accomplished it was time to cross the street again. And it was time to thank quieter streets, there weren't any cars currently, but one was heading that way. Still, a crosswalk stated that it would have to stop for Keanu. Unless of course they wanted to add a dragon sized ding on the car as well. He waited a moment after stepping into the stret to make sure Earko wasn't left behind before starting across with Ymir at his side. Back to the park.

Earako crossed the street with the same easy confidence she had shown before. The water perked her up considerably, she'd stopped dragging her feet and was now taking content little sips from the water bottle.

And there, at the other end of the street, was Kyle. He'd apparently finished the phone conversation that had previously engaged him, and now he waited patiently for the children to reach where he stood. Earako looked at him and knew immediatly that it was time to go. He just had that sort of expression. Not the one he'd have if something bad had happened, but the sort that meant he was now in a hurry, where usually he didn't mind taking his time.

"We've got to go pick up Isabel, Mija." He said, reaching out for her hand. Earako sighed, looking toward her friend.

"I have to go. Thank you for playing with me." She managed a smile, though it was slightly subdued. She wanted to keep playing! "I hope I can see you and Ymir again."

((Bringing this to a close, if only because I'm really starting to lose touch with Kid Earako's personality.))

((I know your pain. XD It's why I'm having trouble with some of Keanu's older PD's. *Deep breath.* Gonna have to finish those up too.))

It was definitely better to treat a princess like one. They were always happier when you did. It was obvious that this was true with how much happier Earako seemed after getting the water. He was glad too, seeing anyone even slightly sad was never fun. The happier the better.

Afterall, it meant he was doing his job right if they were happy.

He glanced up as the man spoke then nodded at the girl's statement. "It was my pleasure, Princess Earako." That was how you were supposed to say it afterall. "Of course, it's a hero's job to protect the princess. If you ever need help just call." He glanced down at the dragon becide him. "Right, Ymir?" A quick nod from the dragon verified his agreement as the pair waved her off.

They should be heading home soon anyway as well. Probably... after some more practice.
