Kaveri was more afraid for herself than she was for Aubrey. She knew they had cameras. What if they saw... the biting... the murder... that seemed to be at her hands. She cried out again, realizing the consequences for this would be much more dire than whatever Jamal was put through. They'd probably skip past the cage and the zapper and do something worse... Jamal only attacked Aubrey, and Kaveri killed her...
"No," she sobbed in denial, awkwardly burying her face into Emelyn's shoulder. "I didn't do this. I couldn't have... the doctors are going to find out and they're going to do something worse than zap my a** and stick me in a cage..." She heaved her shoulders, breaking into a loud, hysterical bawl. "They have cameras everywhere, they'll have seen it, right? That it wasn't me? Oh, God..." She choked on every word that had come out of her mouth. "I only wanted to... play jokes... but this isn't ******** funny at all!"

"It's okay, it's really okay," Emelyn said, lying through her teeth as the woman sobbed on her shoulder. "There's no way your little bites- if it was even you- could have caused that much blood loss. Something else caused her to get that bad. ...And... the cameras..." she paused, trying desperately not to seem like she was searching for something to say- which, was in fact the truth. "There's something wrong here. They always watch the cameras. They buzz people out when they hurt others. Moreau wouldn't have let you kill Aubrey. He would have stopped you. So it couldn't be you."
She held Kaveri out to arm's length, trying not to jostle her too hard in case her neck gave her pain, but looked her in the eyes again, praying to God her own blue orbs held some appearance of knowing what she was talking about. "It couldn't be you."

"I had to have been zapped," Kaveri said, "I was unconscious. I don't know for how long, but I know I've never been here before... I never left the ******** village except for that one time I went to the beach bar place."
Could it have been that she was high and came here? No... she usually remembered the stupid stuff she did while high. "Maybe... maybe someone looked away. They're going to study the body and they're going to find bite marks, and then watch the video logs!"
Her head hung as the hedgehog woman pulled away. "I'm so ********," she said in a small voice, staring at the ground. "I'm just... I'm so ********. I don't know where to go or even where I am. I'm not even sure if I wanna go back to my duplex anymore..."
She wanted to disappear. She felt she was going to soon get punished for something she probably didn't even do, but only time will tell...

"I wish... I knew what to tell you. I wish I could tell you somewhere safe from the cameras. But I don't know if there are any. ...But I still believe that you can't have done that. There was so much blood around her. ...I don't even know what that was that fell off her..." Emelyn's voice trailed off in the thick air, disappearing with all hope that she had a grasp on the realities of this place.
"If you need anything, I'm going to be up on the mountain, or on the beach. ...And just- remember- don't be too afraid. Jamal has done much worse, and he's still around. You'll be okay." She hoped she was right. She would hate for this woman- whose name she didn't even know- to die for the crimes of a madman.

"I can't go back to the village," Kaveri sighed, wiping dirty tears from her cheeks. "It's too easy for them to find me. I guess if I hung around in the jungle and s**t, it would be harder... but... how long could I survive out here?" She stood up, her head and neck still drooping.
"Jamal didn't kill anyone," she said, "as much as he said he'd liked to." Ugh, and Jamal... she had forgotten to write a letter to him before this whole mess had happened. Not that it mattered now, but she still felt a twinge of guilt just adding to the already overpowering emotion that had swung over her head like the blade of a guillotine.
"I hope so," Kaveri frowned, putting her arms to her sides, "I doubt it, but... I hope so." She looked down at her feet, wondering where to go from here. Maybe if she picked a random direction and started walking... she needed to be alone.

Redge and Markerson raced towards the labs at full speed.
"My god, she's bleedin' everywhere!" Redge called from the back.
"Well, dammit, get Moreau on the phone! He'll need to find the doctors."
The smaller of two men reached forward to the front of the Jeep, pulling up the radio and pushing the 911 code. "I NEED THE DOC NOW," he screamed into the mouthpeice before the switchboard lacky on the other end could even get his sentence complete. "I ain't shitting around, NOW, dammit!"

After a moment the intercom was patched through to a rather annoyed sigh.
"What is it?" came Moreau's voice, which was some mixture of curious and bothered. Moreau hoped this was really important, he didn't have time for this right now.

"Yes sir, this is Markerson. One of the critters informed us that someone had been hurt....and well.." Oh wow, talk about feeling like the messenger was going to be shot. "It's Dr. Lockheart. She's hurt pretty sir.. I.. I don't know, I mean.. I can't even find a pulse with the Jeep pouncing around... we're bringing her in just as fast as we can, sir!"

"Whattt?!?" was Moreau's initial reaction. "Get her here immedietly. Whatever it takes!" Moreau bellowed into another devices that sent an annoucement across the entire labs. "I need all medical personal in the medical wing immedietly. Anyone who doesn't report there in 5 minutes will end up on the other side of the fence." there was almost a snarl in Moreau's voice.
Moreau's calm collected coolness was gone. Washed away by feeling somewhere between real concern for Aubrey, and anger for someone messing with what was his.
After only a moment of fuming Moreau said "Who is responsible?"

"We're on it sir, we'll be there in less than seven minutes, God Willing." Markerson tried to find the pulse again, waiting for Moreau to give his message to the staff. "Who? I don't know sir.. some spikey haired girl led me to her. And there was a girl with a freaky orange neck by the body..."

"God has nothing to do with it. You'll be here in 6." Moreau said. Even as he prepped the observation room. He knew the people they were talking about, Ms. White and Ms. Porter. Right now though he had to prepare to take care of Aubrey.
He wasn't going to let anything happen to her... whatever it took. Moreau couldn't believe he'd let her run off like that, in that storm. Maybe he'd driven her to it, even if she was childish about the entire situation. Moreau felt something odd, he felt just a little... guilt.

There was a medical team waiting for her when the Jeep screeched to a halt outside the labs. They carefully lifted her form out. It was a nightmarish sight for someone even as cold as Moreau to witness. Her head lolled lifelife to the side, one side of her face, and her entire front was absolutely covered in a mud and blood. Thick red liquid dripped from her as she was put onto the gourney. The mud and blood obscured all details about the extent of her injuries, but even with their limited handling, the two guards and the Jeep seemed covered in blood.
The doctors swarmed around her in a instant, quickly hustling her inside.

Moreau followed them to the observation room, looking rather pissed off the whole way. Distraut as well somehow though. He barely took notice of Lauren as he passed.
Doctors assisted other Doctors, and due to the special needs of the island there was almost every kind of specialist. There wasn't a person on the floor besides Moreau who wasn't a certificed, practicing, MD.
Only a few minutes later Aubrey was laying in the observation/surgery room. What clothes survived cut away as they had various devices hooked up to her. She was alive... barely.
Moreau had no intention of leaving Aubrey, his face softened as he watched her on the bed. Moreau not a squimish man, but seeing Aubrey like this was disturbing him even a bit. Maybe it was because she was so recongizable, yet not.
Moreau flipped open his communicator and standing a bit back from the Doctors so they could communicate he dialed a familar duplex.
Moreau would know who was responsible, and heaven help them when he did.

After her shower, Kaveri had been laying in her bed, struggling to sleep. Anything to help her escape this... and she was deathly afraid of touching the pot now. Tossing from side to side, her movement stopped when the sound of a buzz rung out through the duplex. She sat up in bed, throwing her legs over the side as she went to walk over to the intercom.
She'd hoped it was Zach or someone she knew. She pressed the button, her head swung low so she could see the device as it flipped on. "H-Hello?"

"Ms. Porter, this is Dr. Moreau. What happened... tell me everything. Now." Moreau's voice was cold, with a hint of anger. It did not sound like a voice that wanted to be toyed with.
Moreau wanted answers.
