It's an elite wind spell that you originally insert into a powerful or very proficient weapon, normally a slashing type. When you shout out "PHOTON SLASH" all the damage the sword had taken while the wind spell was in effect is absorbed and depending on your strength it can cause a huge amount of damage. And yes it is also adistance attack, when you release it the attack speeds towards its target within nanoseconds, catching the opponent off gaurd almost every time.

Sorry Ryu, I came prepared (see profile in other thingy) *pulls out rapier* ready to fight now? or are you somewhat scared for teaching this spell is easier then mastering it... PHOTON SLASH!!! air slashes through Ryu

cause I used a special spell before hand (actually you caught me there, I forgot about that) which places the curse or effects of an enchantment on another.
