Usu just kept running, no ending in sight so no true destination to stop. He just kept running. He could feel something unlock inside of him as if something was finally freed from his body. The sudden feel of troubles stripping away and the feeling of new knowledge came to him. A smile rippled across his face as he murred.
"Feels nice...." he whispered. "Hey Korou, we almost there?" he still smiled, almost playfully as he ran freely. He pushed off the ground as hard as he could lunging into the air. At this rate he would grow much stronger and get this feeling again. What was it?

At the feeling of the speed pick up over him and the laugh in Usu's voice, a soft smile spread over Korou's muzzle and he nodded his head into the wolf's shoulder. "I can see home from here. Don't worry. We're really close. You could let me down here if you want, so you don't scare my mother."
The small cheetah sat up as much as he could and curled his paws further in the thick vertical mane of the other creature. He was almost home at last.

Usu smiled and slowed himself to a complete stop. Putting the cub down, Usu licked him softly. "Get home safely, Korou. I hope we meet again at some point." Licking the cub again he started back to his home in a trot. The cheetah cub was nice, he would grow up nicely if he just dropped the thoughts of dying.
The maned wolf could not resist, he had to run again.
