Well, the new actress for Aerith really sucks...but I don't think Cid was too bad. Doesn't really bother me at all. Plus, since I saw Advent Children, I knew what he would sound like beforehand.

it's not so bad, but i could hardly understand what the crap he was saying in AC....i had to watch it a few times b4 i heard him clearly, but after that it was great. i kinda liked the way he sounded, but for real, though, a redneck? hmm....i guess that's kinda cool in a way....a redneck warrior...hmm....reminds me of xiolin showdown actually a bit.....lol......heh sweatdrop

kageodori-chan I wish that would have the option of japanese with subtitles because it is really annoying to listen to their voices on english. the english voice actors are normally not even close to the original voice actors! There is. Just go to 'language.'

I didn't really imagine him with a southern accent at first, but ya get used to it after a while. I got used to it when I played dirge of cerberus.
Just because someone lives in the country, doesn't mean they have that accent. Hell, I live in the country, and I can't pull off that accent to save my life.

Dellah Morte Holy effing s**t, man, they so totally KILLED his voice in KH2.... *ARRRGHHH* I can't even listen to it. I have to turn the volume down. And Aeris sounds like Hanajima from Fruuba.... I think it's time to peremently put the settings on "Japanese with subtitles" You can change it!? Really!? Yahoo. I'm going to play it that way from now on. No more listening to crappy voice acting rofl

What the hell is wrong with sounding like a redneck?! I have a redneck accent. I liked his voice I thought it matched his personality!! I never get mad about the dubbing. I also liked Aeris English voice it was really good. I don't care how the voice is just as long as the anime/game is good. I'm a big Otaku, but I don't get mad 'bout that kind of stuff, only when they cut out parts or change the genders (like on Sailor Moon). Personally I like the English voice's better then the Japanese ones sometimes, like A.C. I like the English voices better the the Japanese ones. I hate how Japanese people make some girls voices all sqeeky sometimes, it makes me want to mute them. So, don't get pissed at me for liking the English voices better then the Japanese voices most of the time. I did think the Japanese voices were good in some of the games and animes that I did like. (Like Oruon High Host Club and Devil May Cry). lol This is all MY OPINION!!
P.S. Rednecks do cuss. lol My family says a cuss word almost every sentence, I just have to watch how I type on here so I don't. My 2nd word was the F-word and my mom thought it was funny. lol xD

Actually, Cid's original hometown is unkown. He just currently lives in Rocket Town. I guess I just never imagined it that way because I've roleplayed for so long and I had it different in my head...maybe that's because I don't have any accent though. Eh, whatever. Though I gotta say, in KH2 he sounded so much older than he did in AC. I guess he is 10 years older than the 7 Cid, but still, that puts him at 45 at the most. He sounds like he's 60 in the game. seriously.

Thanks! I agree the screams redneck. I mean, he looks like a mechanic from the boonies (pardon the pun to Midgar), who rids in an airship and not on a horse. lol I think that's cool. You, don't see a character like him in anime that much and how can people not think he's a redneck. I mean the game really gave it away!! Why, do people get so pissed about it? I think people should just get over it.

I second the having to watch what I type on here!
I nearly squealed my head off when I discovered Cid's accent! I love his accent but I do enjoy watching it in Japanese with subs more, because I like to laugh at Yazoo's voice. Something about it is just so...funny!
As for the broken machinery and such, reminds me of my garage xd
