Tambuzi didn't believe a word she said, but he wasn't about to complain. He blushed some more, and pulled all sorts of 'squeeful' faces as Mlinda placed both her paws firmly on his backside. He chuckled a little, more in boyish pride than anything else.
When the starfish had been removed, Tambuzi looked over his shoulder at her.
"Its alright, you can admit it - you like touching my butt."

"I DO NOT!" she yelled at once, flattening her ears against her head. The lioness' face turned an even darker red at her outburst of a reply. Feh, like she'd even want to touch -any- part of him!
And yet... he seemed... sort of... hands-NO! She was not going to fall in love with him! The only thing she needed was the ocean, and that was it! Nothing else! Especially a male. They only made things worse!
The lioness turned away from him, sulking and acting angry, yet embarassed at the same time. What if he started flirting with her? What if he decided to kiss her?! WHAT IF THEY BECAME MATES?!

"You know, denial is the first sign of attraction?" he called after her as she stalked off for a while.
His smile would be hard to wipe off for the rest of the day, and it was certainly a huge boost to his ego. Mlinda was a very pretty lioness, and Tambuzi wouldn't mind staying around her a bit longer - if she could just get over herself and admit she liked him.
He padded upto her with that cheeky grin of his.
"So, besides my butt, what else do you like about me?"

"NOWJUSTAMINUTE!" she yelled, and glared at him with those big blue eyes. Her face was an even -darker- red now that he was right in front of her! "I'll h-have you know that i-if you keep flirting with me, I'll f-feed you t-to the goblin sh-sharks!"
After this "threat", she turned away from him again, giving a sigh of relief. Perhaps now he would take her more seriously! 'Sides, she didn't like his butt. It was his smil--NO. None of that love talk! She was a serious lion, one that had to uphold the name of her father's pride, and the sea's name!
..right?

He couldn't take her threat seriously now that he was in this mood. Deep down, he knew he shouldn't keep subjecting this poor, pretty lioness to this kind of teasing. But what-the-hey, this was fun!
"Goblin sharks, eh? Will they like my butt as much you do?" he called after her, chuckling. Now, he had a chance to stare at hers for a bit.

Mlinda huffed as a reply, lowering her head to hide her embarassment. "Don't you have some other lioness to kiss?" she sneered, before getting up and starting to walk off. Love... ha! What a useless thing.
And yet.. there was something she loved. The ocean, as you may have guessed. The lioness paused mid-step to look at the ocean, before realizing Tambuzi could have a clear shot of tackling her and continuing his teasing. Quickly, she turned back and trotted a bit faster.

"Oh I have loads of lionesses lining up to share a kiss with the Tamba-love, but you're the prettiest," he said as he padded after her. He had a slight spring in his step and was giddy by now.
As she paused, Tamba gained a lot of ground and was practically next to her before she trotted off again. He swiped a paw playfully at her hind-legs to trip her up, and then proceeded to sit on her.
"Pucker up!" he laughed and motioned to kiss her.

Blue eyes were set hard on the horizon-- that is, before she felt her back legs give out, and she flopped onto the sand. Then her eyes were set on the sand.
She huffed angrily and rolled over, but before she could get up, she felt a sudden weight on her stomach. A familiar weight, one that she despised. "WOULD YOU GET OFF ME?!" she yelled, before hearing his teasing sentence.
Her eyes widened, and she preceded to squirm around like a worm on a hook. But it was no use, Tamba was heavier than her, and stronger. So she shook her head back and forth, trying to dodge his kissing. The lioness closed her eyes tightly, hoping not to stare back into his.
Finally, after flailing her head back and forth, she felt her nose -and- muzzle bump into Tamba's, into a bittersweet, somewhat clumsy kiss. Mlinda's eyes shot wide open, and at once, her face was a very dark, very hot red.

Tambuzi wiggled his weight around on poor Mlinda for a little bit, playfully trying to kiss her. He never actually set out to kiss her, more to just mentally scar her, or just liven her up a little. She was unexpectedly tight-pawed for a lioness who lived on a beach.
"Nopes, I'm gonna plant a big kissy-wissy on you," he laughed.
And then it happened. As he ducked down for one of his fake kisses, her nose and muzzle bumped straight into his. His ecpression was a total mirror to hers - eyes wide open in shock and a deep blush all across his face.
Then he shot up from Mlinda and stood a little away from her.
"Errrr...." he hesitated, not quite sure what to say.

As she felt Tamba suddenly get off her, she couldn't help but exhale in relief. The lioness got up in a flurry, and whirled away from him. Rubbing a paw on her nose and muzzle softly, she turned just -barely- to see what Tambuzi was doing.
"...s-so... a-ah..." she started, looking around hesitantly. "I-I'm just g-gonna... um.. g-go.. now.." She started walking, before stopping to look back at Tamba. Nononono, now was the time to leave. LEAVE. The lioness tried to get this through her head, but she felt her body carrying her back to Tamba. Oh, why of all the animals in Africa did he have to kiss her?! Especially a lion who reminded her of the ocean! She loved the ocean so much!
... but that meant that...

Tamba couldn't face her just yet. It was just an innocent, accidental kiss. But why did he feel so weird about it? Maybe because she seemed so adamant about avoiding it? Or maybe it was because it was his first kiss and it wasn't real?
He heard her words, and lifted his head a little to look at her, but couldn't quite look her in face. Tamba took a deep breath and turned around to see her walking towards him. Eeeeep!
"Look...Mlinda...I'm...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything. I was just messing around, you know?" he tried to splutter these words out as clear a he could manage.

Mlinda finally managed to stop just a few feet from him, and was about to bolt for the grass when she heard his apology. "You were just messing around?!" she said, before yelling. "Well because of your "messing around", I've just been kissed AND embarassed to the point of fainting!"
She spun her white body around to face the opposite of Tamba, which were the sandy white beaches. She was thinking hard about that kiss, as well. It felt so wrong, she felt as if she was violated! Like a pearl dunked in an ink well. But, it didn't seem -so- wrong. In fact, it felt a little... right!

Tambuzi blinked at her verbal burst, feeling quite deserving of it actually. He didn't realise his teasing had caused her that much stress, or he would have stopped long before 'the kiss.' But if she was that embarrassed about it...would that mean her feelings for him...were real...?
The lion didn't dare entertain that thougt, not after the somewhat cringeworthy teasing he now realised he'd subjected poor Mlinda to. He dipped his head a little, his eyes full of sincerity.
"I-I am really sorry Mlinda. I never meant to embarrass you or anything. Why didn't you just tell me to shut up or something?" he said, almost grovelling.

"I would've, but a certain lion kissed me before I had the chance." she grumbled, before glaring over at Tambuzi. "You don't know what it's like being flirted with!"
Waitaminit. There was an idea just waiting to be acted out! Her eyes lit up, before she grinned evilly at him. Slowly, Mlinda padded towards him, chuckling evilly to herself. Oooh, there would be payback.
The lion picked up her step, before pouncing and tackling Tamba down. "So, I suppose you've never been teased, have you?" she said, flattening her ears.

He was dumbfounded. She was upset because he'd flirted with her? What a weird lioness! Most would be flattered at the attention. Did she have a hate-complex with males, or something?
"You know, I didn't mean to kiss you. And most girls would like the flattery of some flirting," he defended himself.
The tackle-pounce caught him completely off guard.
"Ooof!" he grunted as Mlinda landed onto him.
He looked up at her, his amber eyes kind of wide, and his eyebrows furrowed in worry. "Uh oh..." he muttered under his breath, wondering what she might do to torture him.
