 Luxord's eyes narrowed upon his half-blind superior. Why did authority figures always have to intercede in matters that didn't concern them? His gaze returned to the pair before him, the mind beneath hard at work. It was a pity. He had been looking forward to the prospect of having a slave to do his bidding. Alas, now he'd have to think of another way to collect his pound of flesh.

Xigbar shot a warning glace at Saix, reminding him that if he abused what was given to him it would just as quickly be taken away.
"Well then, that is settled then."
An inaudible sigh escaped the older audio as he turned away, placing his hand over his eyes to massage his temples. He could already see the flames brewing again underneath it all, he so did not need this. Where the hell was Xemnas anyways...
He shot a glare over the group that warned no one to challenge him before he walked off, shaking his head and muttering to himself.

He was defeated. He let it show in every sag and bend of his body, in the arm that he let drop to his side, too tired to hold it up anymore. What was the point? Even Xigbar seemed to be on Saix side, although it seemed to be hard on him to even have to make this decision.
Fine then, Axel would go with it. Though it hurt to stay away from Demyx, seeing as how they'd just become friends again. But if it would keep him safe, he'd do what he had to. No friends. He'd be alone again. Maybe that's what hurt the most. He didn't even mind Saix so much, so long as there was someone.
The weight of Puff laying curled in his hood against his back was reassuring, though. He flashed Demyx the briefest of 'thankyou' smiles, lest Saix decree that even to be too much contact.
Axel watched Xigbar's retreating back. He's not all bad. he thought to himself. It must be tough having to control this rabble. Axel certainly didn't envy him his position, having to deal with a hothead like yours truly...
"Is that all?" He replied, almost sighing the words. He really was tired. "Can I go clean up then?"

Demyx sighed, slowly releasing Axel and backed off. This sucked...horribly. Saix was doing this just to be an a*****e, but one day that'd come back to haunt him.
One day...
Maybe, just maybe, the two could get away with sending messages back and forth via Puff. So long as they were sneaky about it... They'd have to try it. No contact at all would almost be too much to bare for Demyx. This was his friend damnit! Sigh...he couldn't wait til the punishment was over.
"See ya later..."
And he meant it too. As soon as this punishment was over he and Axel could hang out all the time! Or...something.
Til then, he'd try and find out about his past....yeah...that was it. Distract himself from the overwhelming sadness he was feeling.
"Bye..."
He gave Axel one final, sad glance, before trudging off after Xigbar.

 Riku wasn't sure how long it had been since he'd abandoned the main room the others were in. He'd resumed wandering the Agency facilities, determined to uncover some information about why they'd all been brough there.
He slowed to a stop at the end of another long hall, frowning. Another dead end. He huffed a sigh, resting his palm on the wall.
Where are you guys?
He didn't know who he was looking for.. but he knew that he was missing two important people.. and he had to find them.

 The rustling of robes, accompanied by the clucking of someone's tongue, echoed up the hallway behind Riku, bouncing off the wall in front of him. "Roaming around by yourself, are we? Not that I can blame you for abandoning the rest of those simpletons."

Riku whirled around at the sound of Larxene's voice. He frowned, tensing a bit. "..you shouldn't wander around sneaking up on people. You're liable to end up with a blade between the eyes."

Staring down at Axel. "Yes, you should go clean yourself up you disgrace me looking so beaten. Go, and go now!" He would enjoy being the boss of Axel, and putting Demyx through some torture was enjoyable as well...so long as Xigbar didn't screw up his plan or anyone else for that matter.
Walking over and sitting against a wall Saix yawned and relaxed. He wasn't tired really, just was out of things to gloat about.

Turning from the main room, Luxord stalked off down the hall. His munny, it seemed, would have to wait. In the meantime, he had a new debtor to add to his little black book.

"MmfmffmmmStupidfiremmfmfmfmmstupidAXEL" He glowered around and gave a growl as he entered. His tail was previously set aflame by the sonic hedgehod-wanna-be's chakra-flames. Whyyy did he have to end up on the wrong place at the wrong time? =__=No name was situated on Marluxia's shoulder and was trying to comfort his 'master' the best he could. This ended up resulting in the occasional paw-swatting.
"Ugh, wait till i get mypaws on him... he didnt even LOOK to see i was bloody their! Oh well." Shrugging it off he wandered around.

Axel held his retort in check as he turned, steadily as he could, and made his way to the nearest exit. He'd find somewhere to clean up, maybe have a good sleep. With any luck Saix wouldn't be able to track him down for a good while and he'd get a decent rest before that maniac put him through his paces, and maybe fix his robe.
Movement caught his eye, and he was harpressed not to double over in laughter. That hair, that walk, it could only be Marluxia. Now there was a name Axel remembered. He was so close to gaining the freedom of the door...but out of Saix's immediate reach, his usual self took over. "Gosh Marbie, what hapenned to your tail?"

Saix stared at Axel and Marluxia. This was a fight waiting to happen. Without hessitation Saix jumped in to make everything worse, as was his natural instinct. "Hey, Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumbass. Don't beat around the bush here, if you're going to duke it out, just do it!" Who was who? It didn't matter, they were both dumbasses to Saix.

Axel's smirk faded. Whatever. If Saix was condoning the fight, he certainly wasn't going to please him and engage Marluxia right then and there. Screw Saix.
Axel turned on his heel and continued for the door, fliking a wave over his shoulder. "Catch ya later, Tweedle-Dumbass."

(( short time jump, a couple days after the previous events, and the day after the Xigbar/Saix fight )) Xigbar's mood had improved since the previous night, or at least he wasn't growling anymore. He had managed to hunt down a potion and dressed the injury on his shoulder. He wasn't bleeding anymore, but it was still stiff and painful, though he didn't really seem to care. What was one more scar?
As he wandered the halls of the castle, he snorted to himself and shoved his hands in his pockets. Wait a minute...there was something in his pocket? He didn't remember putting anything there. What he pulled out his hand, he held a crumpled piece of paper. what was this? Opening it, he started down at the words on the page.
"Ansem report?"
He hadn't really noticed where he was going, nor did he realize his feet had carried him back toward the main room of the castle.

Axel thought maybe he would get some peace and quiet, even if he was in the main room of the castle that they had found themselves in after Xigbar's little teleportation trick at the agency. And who could blame him if, in the search for peace and quiet, he 'accidentally' ran into Demyx? for some reason he really missed the kid, and it didn't really sit right with im, leaving him in Xigbar's charge. He needed protecting, and Axel wasn't entirely sure that the People In Charge had Demyx's best interests at heart.
At least Puff had stuck around. It was almost like being around Demyx. The little critter was as clueless as he was sometimes.
At the sound of footsteps and a mumbled voice, Axel looked up from stuffing Puff full of cookies and caught sight of Xigbar entering the main chamber. Great. Just what he neded. But..wait.. what was he holding? He was staring at it pretty intently. Axel shoved himself ot his feet and shuffled over the Xigbar, peering over his shoulder at the paper. "What'cha got there, boss?" No use aggravating him if he wanted to get alook at the goods too...
