Kimiko twittered. "So yeah, I have a pretty unorthodox family. I haven't heard much about you, though." Looking up curiously, Kimiko wondered if she was being too nosy. Perhaps this lady did not like to speak of herself much, as she had simply nodded as Kimiko went on about the strange members of her own family.
Mayu giggled and followed Paestri accordingly, jumping upon the poor bed with glee. She bounced -- one, two, three! Having never gotten a chance to really bounce upon the beds at home, Mayu was caught in the excitement and began to make various sound effects with every hop.

"Hmm? Well, I have a friend who lives outside of Gaia, I have an adopted son who came out of a book, his fandangle, his Feien, and that's pretty much it. Oh and I have a kitsune who semi-lives in the house with his own adopted son." Huni ticked off her fingers. "I never did believe in those family types you see on tv."
Paestri began to mimic Mayu, though the sounds she made were different. She found it made the jumping up and down more fun.
"Moo! Meow! Wuff!" she cheered.

(( Ahem, don't mind the sudden font color change for Mayu. XD I just thought it was more fitting than violet. ))
"Ah, I see." Kimiko nodded, smiling. "Those TV families are really fake, aren't they? Though they're getting a bit closer now, they're still as unbelieveable as ever." Of course, the teenage girl would know, as she had watched marathon after marathon of those so-called "reality" shows on the tube.
Mayu giggled, the animal noises Paestri made were so silly! Falling back onto the bed, Mayu attempted one last bounce and then quieted down. There were only a number of times a toddler could bounce on a fluffy bed before getting tired, and Mayu suspected she had just made the limit.
Sitting up, she looked over at Paestri. "Paystli, what you wanna do now?" Cocking her head curiously, Mayu wondered what the pink-haired Legend would come up with for them to do.

"Well I guess the rationale behind it is that no one wants to be reminded of how disfunctional their own family is. But I'd prefer disfunctional but real to 'happy-happy-perfect' but fake." Huni shrugged.
Paestri stopped her own jumping a few moments after Mayu had and now it was her turn again to decide. Paestri looked around, the closet once more catching her eyes. She grinned and pointed to the closet.
"Dless ap!" she beamed. Surely the closet would have lots of clothes for them to try on and play with.

Kimiko nodded in agreement, but felt she had to offer her own opinion yet again. She could really get caught up in discussions and debates, even if it was a silly one about TV. "It's also really boring, isn't it? Television families are so predictable too! You know little Billy's going to say something stupid, and then they put on a laugh track. It gets so dull after the first ten times."
"Dless ap?" Mayu echoed, scrunching her nose up in confusion. She looked toward Paestri, then the closet, finally nodding as she understood. "Kay!"
Shuffling off the bed, Mayu took a few steps toward the closet door, then stopped, waiting for Paestri to come as well. She had played dress-up in Kimiko's closet before -- it was so fun! Certainly it would be very fun with a friend as well.

"Be glad you've never seen a Filipino 'family' show. Most of them are blatant copy-cats of American sitcoms. And they're badly done ones at that..." Huni sighed, recalling the one time she watched "Home Along Da Riles" with Addy. Her head still hurt trying to make sense of it all.
Paestri carefully climbed down, her hands grabbing the bedsheets tightly as she descended. Once back on solid ground she toddled after Mayu and linked her arm around the other girl's.

Kimiko nodded slowly -- if American sitcoms were bad enough, she couldn't even comprehend the horror of copies, and in other languages too!
"Well, that was a nice chat. We should get together again sometime, Mayu really likes playing with Paestri too!" Mentioning the two girls, Kimiko instinctively peered over the back of the upholstery she was happily preched on, and was shocked to find the two girls gone!
"Erm, Huni? I think we've got a problem here."
"Alright!" Mayu cheered, hobbling over to the closet door. Looking up at the shiny knob, she was faced with a predicament. "How we open it?" She asked to the Legend beside her, realizing her own strength. She wasn't strong enough to pull open a closet door, nor was she tall enough!

"Hmmm?" Huni blinked, still unaware of her own little girl having gone elsewhere.
Paestri looked up at the doorknob then back at the box. No, even with the box she doubted they'd have enough leverage to open it. Oh why did grown ups have to close the doors all the time?
"Box?" she suggested, but again she was unsure about how they would open the door. They might be able to do something if they had an extension of sorts.

"The kids are gone."
Kimiko tried her best to stay calm, but she had never had to deal with a lost baby before! Luckily, they were somewhere in the HQ; if they had escaped into the open world, someone surely would have noticed the opening and closing of the main doors. Immediately getting to work at searching the living room, the girl scrambled over obstacles with relative ease, sending a little kitty running out of her hiding spot.
Scoop the cat into her arms, Kimiko fussed over poor Verdi. It was a way of releasing her stress, although a more unorthodox way.
"How we open? We not strong enough ..." Mayu sighed, searching her brain for any means of opening the perplexing closet door. "Maybe umbre?" She asked, referring to the hook that almost all umbrellas had on the bottom. With it, they could possibly turn the knob and pull open the door.

Huni bolted upright at the mention that the children were no longer present.
"What?!" like Kimiko she began to search, instinctively heading into the kitchen. Linneas had told her about Paestri's escapedes there, but she found the kitchen empty. The only signs of use were those of Kimiko's.
"They couldn't have gotten far, I'll check upstairs." Huni volunteered as she ran down the hallway, past several rooms including the one the two Legends were in.
"Umblela?" Paestri cocked her head to the side then looked around the room for one. "No here, mebbe out der?" she suggested, pointing at the direction where she thought their guardians were. She hadn't notice Huni zip by.

"I'll keep looking around here for any signs of them!" Kimiko called to Huni, releasing the squirming cat in her grasp. Shuffling around the furniture, Kimiko checked every nook and cranny for ideal hiding places -- the babies were nowhere to be found.
Twirling around ungracefully, Kimiko dashed after the direction Huni had gone, stopping at the first bedroom and running in. She began to frantically search the room, checking under the beds and inside the closet and wherever else two toddlers could hide.
"Mebbe. I go look?" Mayu asked, taking the initiative. She walked out the door and into the living room, where she immediately spotted a small bin for storing umbrellas in case of emergencies. Grabbing a nice and colorful one, the toddler hobbled back to the room they had been playing in and set the umbrella down on the carpeted floor with a sense of accomplishment.
Kimiko had not noticed a thing, she had been too busy looking through the wardrobe.

Upstairs Huni ran from room to room, stopping only to give each location a detailed sweep. There were no movements, no little giggles or anything indicating that the two toddles were around.
Paestri cheered in awe at Mayu, deciding she was going to look up to her from now on. Not to mention she also liked the toddler's taste in style. She bent down to pick up the umbrella and toddled over to the closet door where she waited for her friend to join her.
They'd open the door together!

After confirming that the first room was devoid of little giggling girls, Kimi dashed into the directly opposing room and began to search it with a frenzy. Overturning pillows, throwing sheets, and pushing over furniture, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the person who had to put all of this back together.
Following Paestri, Mayu grabbed the pointy tip of the umbrella and looked over to the pink-haired Legend. Giving it a small tug to make sure that the hook was secured to the shiny knob, she waited for Paestri to get a good grip on the umbrella. The fabric used to make them were waterproof, therefore very slippery.
"Ready? Won, doo, tree!" She shrieked, and tugged upon the umbrella as hard as she could before tumbling onto the carpeted floor.

Still upstairs, Huni began to grow desperate. "Pae? Paaeeeeessstrriiiiiiii!!!" she yelled, cupping her hands around her mouth to amplify her voice.
The Legend pulled on the umbrella and she too ended up falling to the floor. Slightly dazed, but otherwise unhurt, Paestri sat up to see if their little attempt worked.

Poking through the large walk-in closet (Why did the HQ have to have these things?), Kimiko sighed. Another dud. Mayu and Paestri could be on the highway by now! Deciding that she needed to search at a quicker pace, Kimiko scrambled back out the room and into the hallway, looking about for toddlers. Luckily for the toddlers, Kimiko had been too consumed looking for specific details that she had not even noticed them sprawled upon the floor besides the umbrella!
Mayu tugged upon the handle curiously, and it opened! Gesturing for Paestri to follow her inside, she discovered that it was quite a cozy little room. The spacious closet provided tons of space for the two toddlers to frolic, and was littered with pillows and squishy things for them to play with. Immediately grabbing a nearby cushion, the silver-haired Legend began chewing on the corner happily. Old habits were hard to break.
