He looks in the direction of one of the hobgoblins with the longswords. He looks the hobgoblin in the eye before charging toward it. "For Helm!" He lets out a mighty yell as he brings his mace around for a swing.

The hobgoblin leader tries to resist the effects of Aravol's mental attack.
The hobgoblin leader's face freezes in a terrible grimace, then a wince of pain and he is back to barking orders in the guttural Kobold tongue.

I willl group my attacks by creature type in most cases also.
These are kobold attack rolls
A kobold draws his shortbow and fires at Timothy. 3 + 3 mod = 6 miss
A kobold draws his shortbow and fires at Uri. 11 + 3 = 14 miss
A kobold attacks Tanith with a shortspear 1 + 1 = 2 whiff
A kobold attacks Uri with a short sword. 16 + 1 = 17 HIT
A kobold attacks Arazil with a shortspear. 12 + 1 = 13 miss

The hobgoblin Arazil missed takes a swing back at him. 8 + 2 mod = 10 miss
Another nearby hobgoblin charges Arazil. 8 + 2 mod + 2 charge = 12 miss
This hobgoblin's AC is now 13.

I watch the battle and attack a kobold to help lighten the load

Action Summary:
Aravol targeted the hobgoblin leader with a psionic attack, the leader successfully resisted the effects. Tanith and Uri charged to the edge of the caravan, killing a kobold each. One with a cracked jaw and broken neck, the other's brain splattered on the ground. Arazil charged right past them, to the nearest hobgoblin, who dodged his attack. Timothy stood in the street playing music, then charged in to the fray, missing the first kobold he came upon.
Good 1st attack round guys.
Current situation:
The raiders are attacking back! While most of the kobolds appear to be continuing to loot the wagons, and some disappear into the wood, about 10 of them drop thier loads and draw melee weapons, another 5 are readying shortbows. The hobgoblin leader is still barking orders, but now has his axe held in a defensive stance and is staring in the direction of our heroes feircely. The other hobgoblins are moving to assist the attacking kobolds. Two of them have converged on Arazil.
Now there is a wider choice of opponents to target in melee range for those of you that charged in. Each of you has at least two targets within melee range, everyone having kobolds except Arazil. The kobolds and hobgoblins who did not attack this round were surprised, being busy with the business of raiding, the ones that have acted were already watching the west for an attack when you came in.
This post marks the end of the first round of combat. You can now go ahead and post your next action. If you are attacking you can include your attack roll in your action post. If you hit go ahead with your damage. I will stop posting these little instructions each round as we get into a few rounds.

With one kobold lying with a crushed skull at his feet, uri moves on to the next one, sending a swing right at the poor kobold's face.

The hammer smashes into the face of the hapless kobold!
3 + 3 str = 6 damage
"any day I wade up to my knees in the bodies of kobolds is a good day" I mention as I clobber the kobold.

Looking around, I notice the armored Hobgoblin. I begin to move towards him, attacking the nearest Kobold to me with a strong elbow to the face (the one who attacked me I'd guess)
