ooo, the flying idea seems pretty cool
3nodding though I have to wonder... what would the angelic microphone do?
And yay, you got your katana!
I'm so happy to have my katana. ^__^
the Angelic Mic could allow for maybe a soundwave attack or something, or you could use it like a bludgeoning weapon going like Steve Tyler from Aerosmith. smash with the mic for close range, yell into it for long range.
special attacks take stamina, which means every attack you use, normal or special, will trickle your stamina, normal attacks reduce your stamina by a little, and special attacks cut your stamina significantly.
items can have two different stat types one that is beneficial for the equiped, and one that is hazardous for the victim.
Angelic items can allow it's wearer to fly and all special attacks are light. but can reduce an opponents attack power when used against an opponent.
Demonic items can allow the wearer to fly to whoever wears it, but can reduce an opponents defense.
Psychic powers can provide a barrier for the player equipped with it, but can be quite troublesome to the opponent as a psychic attack can confuse the foe(temporarily invert their controls, so up is down, left is right, B is A, Z is C, the only buttons not effected are the Start, Select, and Home buttons).
Dark items can shroud your presence, and allow you to leave a trail of replications(up to 4 simultanious replications at a time) with a burst of speed as if gliding just above the ground, your opponent has trouble seeing you face to face and cant find you on radar.
Fire items can allow greater resistance to freezing when equiped, but an opponent can be burned.
Ice items can give you resistance to Burns when equiped, but can freeze an opponent if it connects, slowing them down.
Space/cosmic items can sllow your character to teleport at the cost of some stamina when equiped, but the opponents vision will be distorted.
basic weaponry like the Ancient Katana and Sword of Aegis can add basic attack power to the equipped, but can cause BLEED damage(damage that adds up over time).
pets can allow their owners a little ally such as Gwee the Dragon can blast fire and fly over the shoulder or head of their owner. G-BOTs can provide a light shield and small electric jolt to opponents. those mechanical bulldogs can tackle an opponent.
jewlery and sunglasses allow a radar to be used in your HUD(Heads up Display), but a shrouded fighter is invisible to radar. but can improve your vision if your opponent is shrouded.
there would be special features for Gaia users in game from the site such as making your own custom emblem using a paint tool, using either the image of your Gaia avatar, or your custom emblem. you can even form teams and such, guilds can take part in guild battles to see which guild has the best fighters.
items can have differing effects on the fight, such as using a powerful swing of the Wiimote while using an ancient Katana you can dish out heavy damage. a hammer can do smash damage and can send an opponent reeling.
the average Gaia user is average in stats, but you can modify your stats at any time.
also on the subject of fighting styles, Logan for example could use a Fishing Pole to pull in opponents as his grapple, and can slam you around using a fishing pole as his weapon. he could be able to send you flying back a bit, but not NEARLY as far as Johnny Gambino who can smash you about with ease(he'll have perfect stats as a boss opponent, and the perfect sparring partner for Nintendo gamers who enjoy the challenge).
opponents:
Gino Gambino: elegant self taught style: using what looks good for a fighting style, Gino could dish out punishment while looking good.
Johnny K. Gambino: BRUTAL fighting style: using intense physical strength Johnny K. Gambino can hammer away on an opponent with ease, either grabbing and smashing his opponents head, or he'll just swat you like a bug sending you reeling.
Easter Bunny: Easter Carrot style: using a giant metal carrot as his weapon, the Easter Bunny can unleash a fierce volley of carrot-blasts that can do punch-like damage. but he can use his giant carrot like a melee weapon too, using it much like a club.
Santa Claus: Christmas Giving style: much like a mix of sumo and martial arts, the mechanized suited santa can fight much like a Gundam if you get him airborne, unleashing icy barrages of christmas snow that can reduce your speed by a layering of snow.
Jack: hellspawn style: using cheap moves, a stretching and constantly changing body, Jack is fierce in terms that his attacks hit hard, and he's VERY agile. dealing darkness damage, Jack doesnt play around.
arenas:
North Pole: a snowy wonderland, a light covering of snow on rough terrain, well suited for Santa.(snow reduces vision on several scales)
Haunted Cemetary: a cemetary with a large mansion looming above, you're on an island suspended above Gaia, just the scary type of place you'd expect to find Jack.(always night, fog reduces vision)
Gambino Mansion: the perfect place for the Gambinos, a large mansion where the entire place can crumble, and even if reduced to rubble you can fight on or under the rubble.(fully destructable, 2 form arena)
Gambino Tower: a tower of an arena, if you fall off thats the end of the match unless you can fly or cling to walls.(falling hazard to instant K.O.)
Gaia fields: much like in Naruto and DBZ, you can use Trees, rocks, bushes, and whatelse for cover, an ideal training spot.(fully destructable)
Durem: with the fortified town around you, fighting is gonna be pretty rough.(indestructable buildings)
Reclamation Facility: falling off means you gotta continue from the water, unless you can climb out, you'll lose stamina keeping afloat.(Water stamina hazard)
Crater: where Johnny K. Gambino crushed his son, this is an ominous arena moreso at night where Johnny is said to lurk, seeking a worthy rival(special feature, winner faces Johnny with the same health as the match ended with).
Gambino Casino: an arena set up for brawlers, bets are held for matches, betting on the winner even when not fighting can earn you big money(winning a match earns you extra gold for Gaia online).
Caves: it's dark, dank, creepy, and not the kinda place you wanna go to at night.(vision gets worse the deeper into the cave you get)
sound like good ideas for a Gaia online fighter? the arenas have to be fully interective, meaning you can climb on rocks, climb up trees, jump off things to dish out damage through diving attacks.
it would be a sweet online fighter. ^__^ and using Gaia Onlines avatars would make it easier than finding friend codes. ^__^
