Aiden was exhausted after flying home. He checked in on everyone to see that they were safely in bed before returning to the main living area to find a place to sleep himself. The unnatural mint green eyes of the GaiaCom greeted him.
"Playing head-of-the-household again, are we Aiden?" The elf-looking witch asked archly. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she leaned coyly in the doorframe -a typical position for the black skinned android.
Aiden sighed, Glancing up at his hammock wistfully. "I dinnae feel like playing yer games tonight, lass."
Coral lips formed a small 'o' as if hurt. Aiden knew better. Though the GaiaCom had an emotion chip, it was rare for her to care about anyone other than Trelweny. Especially where that someone male. "Aiden... I'm shocked. It's that I'm concerned about you."
Her eyes narrowed. "Shouldn't you be finding a mate by now, Aiden."
The highlanders shoulders slumped. "Ye cut me to th' quick, ye do, Myranda. I'm working on it... bu' these things take time, ye ken."
Collecting himself, Aiden gave the witch a polite bow before flying to his hammock for the night. Putting black gloved fingers to her lips Myranda smirked, her inhuman eyes smiling. It was about time

I ken Rikku is in love. I dinnae ken about the lad, Naruto. 'tis clear 'e feels something fo' th' lass, though 'tis hard te say whether it be his flesh or heart that longs fo' her. An' it may be both fer all I ken. I dinnae ken, but my heart tells me I can trust Rikku with him which eases my mind.
Who am I t' judge? I want t' see Lainey... I need to see the lass. I need t' ken if she feels th' same fo' me as I think I do fo' her. I dinnae ken...
Is this love?

Reuniuon Page 1449RavenFyre She pivoted on the pads of her feet when she heard her name called, though she thought it could have been her imagination. Lainey had been hearing that voice and accent in her head almost constantly now. But this was the shop, not her home and he really could have been there. Her heart thumped loudly against her ribcage when she saw the scottish audio, her cheeks flushing pink instantly, "A-aiden..!" She took a step towards him, then stopped, looking unsure what to do. Did the situation call for pouncing hugs or not? It had been a long while since she last saw him... and how they parted ways didn't make things the least bit easier. She had alot of time to think on things, but so did Aiden, and now she didn't have a clue on just where the other audio stood on his feelings. RavenFyre Lainey's pink blush turned full out crimson when Aiden just touched her hand, almost reaching down to her shoulders when he kissed her hand. "A-aiden... I..." Taking a deep, calming breath, she offered him a shy little smile, "I missed you, too. So much..." She took the initiative and pulled closer to him for a hug, reassuring herself, and maybe him, that if nothing else they could still be close friends. "I... I've been well," she nodded in confirmation, "I've been taking care of the little rascals in my family since Rave ran away to visit friends. It was a little hectic, so I'm sorry I haven't been around. H-How about you..?" She tried her best not to sound as nervous as she felt, praying that the winged audio couldn't hear the loud, fast beating of her heart.
Taking a big risk, Aiden gently ran the back of his hand over the red firework on her cheek. "Ye look lovely, Lainey."RavenFyre Lainey smiled, of course Aiden would understand about large families, too. She just hoped that the scottish audio didn't think that she had been avoiding him all this time.
Her breath hitched in her throat, looking at Aiden with wide, surprised, violet eyes as he toucher her cheek and complimented her, feeling her heart skip a beat, then beat twice as fast to make up for it. "Aiden..." He was... and he said... then maybe... just maybe... She licked her lips lightly, taking a deep breath. She had to get this out in the open now before she burst! "A-aiden I... I've been thinking about this a long time... a-and I... I..." she closed her eyes tightly. If she looked at him she'd lose her nerve, she just knew it! "I... Iwantaseewhatwehaveb'tweenus!" She blursted it out all at once then quickly hid her face against his shoulder, as if it would really hide her from him in case she was rejected.
With that he kissed her bent neck once, ever so lightly, leaving his head to rest against hers. If he was lucky, Aiden felt he would not be lonely for long.RavenFyre She couldn't believe it, Aiden felt the same! Relief flooded through her body and it felt like she was floating... Though a quick peek from over the boy's shoulder proved that she really was floating with him. With a surprised squeal she clung to him all the tighter, a breathless giggle escaping her, "Oh gods, Aiden..!" She felt so happy she thought that her heart would burst in her chest, perhaps that was why one moment she felt Aiden's lips press lightly against the back of her neck and the next moment she felt them pressed against her own. It took her brain a few seconds to catch up with the rest of her body, realizing that she was indeed kissing Aiden. She pulled back with another squeak, her face coloring crimson all over again, "A-ah..! I... I'm sorry! I... I.." there she went jumping ahead of herself again... She couldn't seem to control herself when it came to the plaid colored male.
Her sudden withdrawal left him aching inside, crying to kiss her again. But this time he wanted to be the daring one. Not that kissing her neck had not been daring, but his usually rational mind did not catch that. "Dinnae apologize, bonnie Lainey." His hand stroked down her arm, then up her back to caress her shoulder. "ye did nothing to be ashamed of. In sooth..."
He trailed his hand gently from her shoulder up her neck, cupping her chin lightly in his palm. "In sooth, I'd like ta try tha' again."
Yellow eyes glimmered with emotion & he drew their heads together, closing as his lips brushed against hers.RavenFyre She could only watch Aiden in a sort of daze, though she understood that he wasn't upset with her for the kiss... In fact he seemed to be... but thinking got a little hard at those point. Aiden's nimble fingers always seemed to make Lainey's tremble muscles melt under his touch and soon she was pressing against him for support, shivers running up and down her spine. "Aiden..." All she could do was look at him helplessly and whisper his name reverently when he tilted her chin up towards him before they were kissing again, all doubts and worries melting away from her as she simply enjoyed the soft contact, letting her eyes flutter closed.
Reluctantly he eased off the contact of their lips & seeing her closed eyes gently places soft kisses on each lovely lid. "Lainey..." His voice was heavy with emotion. The fingers on the back of her neck kneaded the area gently. "Ye're too much lass." He chuckled nervously, moving a finger to trace a firework nearby. "Too much."RavenFyre A responding, submissive little mewl caught in Lainey's throat at the deep rumbling noise Aiden made. One of her own hands smoothed down from his shoulder to the point where the base of his wing stuck out from his shoulder blade, slim fingers lightly gliding over the faerie wing as she tentatively moved her mouth against the plaid colored male's, having about the same, if not less, experience in the ways of kissing, herself.
She was panting softly, making a soft, almost whimpering sound when he pulled away from the kiss, tilting her head to follow after him, with every intention of kissing him again before she forced herself to stop. She smiled at the soft kisses to her eyelids, fluttering them open to look at him with deep, violet eyes full of emotion. She gasped softly, shivers running through her as he traced over a firework, whispering so softly it might not have been heard if they weren't so close together, "I think I'm in love with you..."
Surprise & then joy welled in Aiden's golden eyes at her words of love. "Lainey... I think I love ye too." He laughed gently. "Is tha' possible? We barely ken each other."
As he spoke his free hand stroked her fur gently: her face, her ear her shoulder her arm her back. Flicking around his tail brushed her leg & the highlander sighed softly at the shiver than ran through his body. He fluttered his wings, lifting them higher off the ground & out of the casual observer's sight. He did not want the arrival of anyone to the shop disturbing this delicate, beautiful moment.RavenFyre His words made Lainey gasp, just having realized that she had spoken her feelings out loud. Her heart hammered up to her throat. She hadn't meant to say such a thing so quickly! B-but... but... Aiden felt the same... He felt the same! She didn't think it was possible, but she felt her body relax and excite at the same time. "I..." her own giggling joined his laughter, "This all seems so crazy and sudden! B-but... I-it feels right..." She leaned into all of his touches, her eyes fluttering closed again to take them in completely, leaving her trembling helplessly against him, clinging to him tightly for support. Her own tail twitched from side to side, then in a bold move, curled around to brush against Aiden's, the resulting sensation making her bite back a moan.
She gasped softly as he flew them up higher. She really was starting to get used to this feeling of being up in the air. She continued with her confiession, wanting to get it all out now that she started. "When I'm with you it feels... like the most natural thing in the world... A-and when I'm not with you, all I can do is think about you... I... I hear your voice and I... I want to feel your warmth..." She blushed darkly as she admitted her feelings to him, ducking her head. It was embarrassing to admit all of this out loud. "I... I've never... I've never felt this way before... I-it feels... like I might burst at any second, but I don't want it to ever stop... I... I think that's what love would feel like. Isn't it..?"
"An' of i' tis... than I love ye, bonnie lass." Unable -& quite unwilling- to refrain any longer, Aiden lowered his mouth to hers once more. RavenFyre Lainey pulled her tail away when the other moaned, it felt wonderful, that she brought these feelings out in Aiden, that it wasn't just her, but this wasn't the place to take things too far... If there was a place to take things this far this quickly.
She felt her heart going a mile a minute each time he would agree with her on her feelings. Was it really this simple..? She had heard so much about how painful unrequited love could be... But this... he felt exactly the way she did. Violet pools stared deeply into Aiden's yellow eyes, searching them for the true depth of his words. She smiled, a soft, tender smile that held so much emotion. "If we both think it is... then it will be for us.." She sighed softly, happilybefore their lips met again, his breath a warm whisper on his lips, "I love you, too Aiden.." She melted into the feeling easier each time they kissed, tilting her head up to deepen it further.
"Lainey... bonnie, bonnie Lainey." Aiden sighed happily, tucking her head under his to put the temptation of kissing her more at a distance. "Ye make me feel lost an' found with ye, lass."RavenFyre This time Lainey couldn't stop the soft moan that was thankfully muffled between the two of them when he did that thing with her lip, panting for breath herself when he suddenly pulled back, her eyes half-lidded and glazed as if her mind was in some far away world before quickly returning to the present, blushing darkly. She nosed lightly into his neck, breathing in deeply and taking in his scent. She giggled quietly, breathlessly, "I don't think I could explain it any better than you just did... But that's how I feel, too." Her lips quirked in a playful smile, though from their positions, Aiden couldn't really see it, "And you'll have to explain what exactly 'bonnie' means to me one of these days."
He hugged her gently but tightly & kissed the top of her head.

Saints above, she loves me. An' I love her. I dinnae ken quite how this came to be bu' I feel near overflowing wi' happiness. Te kiss her is like... like nothin' I've ever known before.
The weekend will feel long indeed, waiting to see my bonny Lainey once more. Certainly I will make th' best o' it... an hope it 'tis enough. But I can dream about 'er an feel nay a breath of guilt for I ken I love the lass. I cannae believe she loves me in return. tis fair wondrous.
Tis all so fresh & new. An' I wouldnae trade it for any o'er feeling in the world.

"So what's it going to be, Trel?" Rikku asked eagerly. It had been a while since Aiden flew her through the doors & she had given him a sisterly kiss on the cheek in thanks for the ride. "Quidditch?" The Weasleys pipe up hopefully. "Not all of us have figured out how to ride brooms with our hooves, guys." Their sister Mirage points out, tossing the tails of her scarf. Rikku smiled. The audio was still fascinated that she had family that was cosplaying her & Yuna.
Just apparating in Remus agreed, adding. "Or paws."
Trelweny looked up with a smile. "Ah, Remus! You're just in time." Her eyes twinkled as if suspecting who the wizard had been with. "When Aiden & Rikku got here before you I was tempted to send AearHwesta for you." Remus blanched as his Angelic brother laughed boisterously & winked. Pausing in their talk of Quidditch the Weasley twins chuckled too. "Locke & Aiden convinced me to give you more time."
The highlander blushed red under his tartan fur but the bandit cait beamed. "Goodbyes have te be done right." Locke explained with a nod. Relm rolled her eyes. "Espers, but you're just like him!" "Thank you!" The green cait replies, rubbing against her knees. The artist smiles then. "So tell us, Mother Hen, what are we doing?"
"I've decided... to split up the genders!" There is a big smile on her face as she divulges her plan.
"What?!?" Multiple voices call out at once incredulously. Everyone starts talking at once. Translators, both flesh & mechanical having a time of it.
"Wha' de ye mean, Trel lass?" Aiden's quiet voice pierced the hullabaloo of varied sounds like a warm knife through butter. Everyone leaned in to hear; except the HouseCats.
Trelweny grinned. "I want to give each gender a day to hang out & play together, while those of the opposite gender wait on them." Hearing her family's noise begin to crescendo again the woman holds out her hands. "Now this will only work if no one gats mean about it. Myranda & Grundle have volunteered to oversee things & you know they're fair. Of course Theron & Ambar are exceptions since they can't be parted & they and the baskets are too little to be really part of things. They'll still have to be watched." Tien fluttered into Trel's face. "Ero?"
The young mother laughed. "You & Bozi may play with both groups, Tien." "Yenenin!"
"But who's first?" "We should draw straws." Fred & George interjected.
"Ladies first." Came Aiden's sure soft reply. "Indoubtably." The kitsu wizard was quick to second. Relm, Rikku & Chroma happily glomped the two proudly, & even Trinity beamed. The Weasley's sigh their agreement & Fidelity & Mirage nuzzle their brothers thankfully, knowing they have aquiessed. "Ja. It is best dat way." the mini Gunter added, getting a look of adoration from his sister Renatta.
Glad that it was so easily decided the family matriarch beamed. "Booyaka! With that settled, let's get some sleep! Girls, think of what you'd like to do together tomorrow" Hugging everyone, Trel saw that the baskets were tucked in & gathered Theron & Ambar to get them to bed. She trusted that the other pets would soon do the same. Behind her the girls exchanged bright glances while the males tried to hide their snickers.

You're so kind to me," this time she was the one to brush her lips against his cheek, then ever so ghostly light against his lips, snuggling into the firm, warm presence of his body as he pushed away the bad memories of that awful thunderstorm once again, "It's sweet of you, Aiden. Even if you couldn't be there with my physically, the thought of you will comfort me, I'm sure." She sighed contently as she returned the kiss, but kept it simple and light, now was not the time to lose control. She shook her head, "I doubt you could ever fail anyone, Aiden... A-and if it's any consolation, you know that you can find love in me..?" She smiled against his lips in amusement. "Awww, and I was getting so comfortable too! Well... I suppose I can forgive you for falling asleep, but don't make a habit of it!" the tone of her voice clearly showed that she was just poking fun at him.((continued next day Page 1568)) ((continued Page 1588))

I had the opportunity te meet more Audios with Lainey tonight. So long as I can be wit' her, I dinnae care who else is about, truth be. T'was a good bunch. One lass is a singer an' a musician an' she played for us. We had a right bonnie dance then. I dinnae care much for th' more modern dancing, bu' for Lainey... wit' Lainey t'is a thing worth attempting.
When th' music turned slow I was more at ease; an' not just because I could hold my bonnie lass closer. I suppose t'was being more in my element. I dinnae ken. Bu' at least my lady likes my singing. I never really thought abou' it afore.
I would like to dance such wit' her agin... agin & agin.
((going to put pics & thoughts here about those met until able to edit front page. wink
 The cat Perun has an even fluffier tail tha' th' housecats Jazzmataz & JamBoram. He's a bit larger tha' th' already large Jazzy, bu' he reminds me more o' the departed Dingo in pose an' manner. He seems te be a hunter in nature, an' has only chosen our home as a bse o' operations o' sorts. He certainly is an independent sort. A' th' same time 'e can be quite friendly & playful. I wouldnae be surprised te meet him places other tha' home.
 Yahto has taken te our family as if 'e has always been a part of it. I needed only te introduce him te the ones a' home an' show him th' photo album fer those tha' were out. He is a happy & carefree soul, bu' Saints can he move fast!
