((Can't tell what time of day it is... ><))

'Death Mission 101' was not a term Lucas found the least bit encouraging. Any of the three of them could die. Price or whoever else was involved was also equally apt to being severely injured if this mission turned sour. Still unable to quite grasp the concept of what his full responsibility would be should he accept, Lucas tried his best to ban the insecurity from his mind. Officer Canjemi's laugh and easy manner of speech put him more at ease. He thought he might just get along rather well with these other officers.

He allowed himself to be the first one to make a move. Standing up, he pocketed the card and turned to the other two young men in the room. With a smile, he inquired, "Would either of you like to grab dinner with me at Verici's? I think I'll have enough on my hands packing tonight and I don't feel like going home just yet." It was merely extended as a friendly invitation and Lucas would've certainly been glad for the opportunity to get his mind unwound from the intense briefing Price had given earlier.

"I'm up for it," Dominic said, coming to his feet moments after Lucas. "Besides, eating something other than frozen dinners and Chinese takeout would be a welcome break. And Price did say we should get to know one another. What better way than dinner and maybe a couple drinks?" Adjusting his 'safari' jacket, he turned his gaze back to the seated Jaime. "You in, Wheeler?"

So he'd be working with a doctor and a trainee? This would definitely be a first, especially considering the assignment they'd be on. He'd never done anything so.. adventurous before unless getting lost in the mall when he was ten counts. "So should I continue calling you two by your last names or can we start on a more casual basis?" he asked. That was one thing Dominic wasn't fond of in the military. You had to be so formal with everyone.

Well, at least it seemed they were going to start off on the right foot here. He thought both the recruits before him seemed nice enough. Then again, this was the first time he had met either of them. He would have to save judgements for later. But that Officer Price.. He didn't know what to make of him just yet. Stern at first, but that face broke not long after. Maybe he was different than the other aged veterans. Different in a good way, he hoped.

For a long while, Jaime simply stared, mouth very slightly agape, at the three other men, the cards, and finally the door which, at this moment seemed particularly inviting. Finally, however, his mouth closed and he set his jaw, reaching forward and picking up one of the cards, which he slipped into his pocket before turning to look at Galuxen.

"Huh? Oh.. .yeah, I guess."

Even now, in such friendly company, Jaime fought tooth and nail against the overwhelming fear of the upcoming mission.

"Dinner sounds fine."

He continued, standing up and straightening his jumpsuit before looking to the two, expectin them to lead.

"Great," Lucas affirmed with a nod and moved to the door and pulled it open. Although he passed through the doorway first, his hand lingered, pressing against the door, and keeping it open until the next person caught it.

Once the three men were making strides down the hallway, he remembered Officer Canjemi's question from earlier. He offered a hand to his side, assumably where the other was walking. "I'm Lucas, by the way," he reintroduced himself before adding thoughtfully, "Yes, 'Galuxen' is a bit formal outside the workplace, isn't it?"
Following the first, he turned to Wheeler and kindly informed him, "You may call me Lucas as well, of course."

It was an odd side angle, but the blonde shook Lucas's offered hand in any case. "The name's Dominic," he said to both the men, his steps kept at a casual stride. One hand kept a light grip on his satchel's strap still hanging by his side while his other occasionally grazed his hip as he walked. His mind unconsciously continued to drift back to their destination. A restraunt.. Food. Each moment in thought made him hungrier. He just hoped his stomach wouldn't take into those ideas and start voicing its hunger openly.

"So, Lucas. What kind of doctor are you exactly?" he asked. "The simple kind that just takes people's temperatures and hands out lollipops or the hardcore, breaking skulls open type?" He wouldn't admit that he, in fact, was sickened by blood. He could see it, maybe be around it, but if it was actually on him, that's when light-headedness took its due.

A soft chuckle erupted from his lips with the rather cut-and-dry question his potential comrade asked. "Well, I'm not exactly sure I've broken open too many skulls on living patients before... but I suppose I do everything from internal surgery to putting a bandaid on a cut and taking your temperature," he answered with a smile. He began descending a flight of stairs down to the ground level of the building. It was a moment before he added, "But if you were concerned about that lollipop, Dominic, not to worry. If you're a good patient, I'll make sure you leave with a treat." He turned his head slightly to look at the blonde behind him and gave him a wink before continuing the descent and pushing open a metal door leading into a more crowded hallway.

With that last comment, Dominic's steps faltered slightly, and going down the steps no less. Thankfully, his stabling hand on the railing steadied his footing well enough. Did Lucas just... ? No, he must have just been referring to the lollipop still yet. "Hehe.. Thanks? I'll keep that in mind next time my sweet-tooth calls," he replied with an almost forced grin. His mind was yelling at him to change the subject, and he was all too happy to oblige. "Eh.. So, Wheeler! You're a new recruit, huh? Must be tough, especially if you don't really know anybody. Kind of like starting school all over again. Except.. instead of stealing your lunch money the bigger kids will get you drunk, steal your shoes, and leave you stranded in some alley miles from your station with a blistering hangover and no directions.." He paused, blinked, then gave a quick laugh. "Ok, maybe I was kidding.. They probably wouldn't steal your shoes."

There was a long pause as Jaime observed the two men's conversation, then he nodded slightly as he was spoken to.

"Yeah... I'm new. Just fresh outta training, actually."

He said, with a similarly forced smile. Then, at the 'drunk and lost' comment, he quirked one brow slightly, then laughed out loud, an action that lit up his features, which were normally darkened slightly by his sulky demeanor.

"I just hope that the night before in question would be worth the trouble of finding my way back to the station."

Wheeler said, offering his own cocky grin.

"...And that the bigger kids don't mind getting a nice, friendly broken nose when I do."

He finished, not seeming to pick up the momentary tenseness that had arisen between his comrades.

"Well, Lucas, it appears we've got a fiesty one on our hands here. Fiesty and violent, I suppose," Dominic said with a grin, reaching an arm out to give Jaime's shoulder a friendly slap. He knew if he were just coming out of training himself, he wouldn't be near as cocky. More like he'd be trying any attempt possible to stay away from the said 'bigger kids'. He wasn't much one for confrontation. Especially such that threatened his well-being.

"Next time I happen to get myself in trouble and you're around, I just hope that violence kicks in so you can protect my hide," the blonde said jokingly.

A slight arch of one brow was seen, however, Jaime decided to take the less antisocial route and laugh, nodding slightly.

"I do suppose that's my job, after all."

After this, he walked in silence, watching the other two with lazy attentiveness, trying to get to know their habits as best he could.

'Good to know your team...'

He thought to himself, although part of him doubted the efficiency of the three of them, with he, a new recruit, being the only source of offensive save Price himself. Ah well. He'd likely find out more once he got to this mysterious building. All would no doubt be explained in time.

Lucas smiled at the blonde's response. 'Not all treats have to be sweet...' he thought to himself, but voiced nothing further.

Listening in on the interaction between the other two, he laughed as the former trainee made a smart joke. Lively green hues looked back at Dominic. "We certainly do," he grinned, "I like him, though. Makes me feel younger."

Finally, reaching the door, Lucas pushed it open and stepped out onto the sidewalk. The sky was dark and nearly permanently overcast and a fairly strong wind was blowing about an aluminum can on the street. Lucas took a right down the sidewalk. The building wasn't far from the lift system. Verici's was an italian restaurant located in the lower city in the Sector A biodome. It wasn't necessarily really expensive, but it was a sit-down restaurant where the whole process of ordering and eating took well over an hour. Expecting the others to follow, Lucas set off toward the lifts and once there, presented his Guard ID card for access to the lift he desired to the patrolling Guard member. He didn't bother putting on his coat. It would be pleasant enough down there.

"Younger and safer," Dominic added to Lucas's comment. The kid may have only been a new recruit, but he was the best source of defense they had at the moment seeing as how Officer Price was absent.

Joining Lucas on the lift, the blonde hacker allowed himself to press his back against one of the walls. Whether he could be 100% positive or not, he never felt entirely safe on them. Throughout the years of having drowned himself in TV, he imagined every lift and/or elevator to stop, their cords to snap, somehow sending them all to their death... Of couse, he'd never heard of anything like that ever actually happening, but there still could be the possibility.

Letting out a steady breath, Dominic stood perfectly still until the lift reached its destination. He hoped that one day, maybe he'd get used to the necessary ride. After adjusting his legs back to solid, unmoving ground, it wasn't long before they were in front of the intended restraunt, Verici's.

He opened the door for the other two. "After you, gents," he said.

[[Oooo Tower of Terror in Disney World! <3 My fave ride XDD]]

Lucas didn't mind the feel of an elevator. In fact, he always wanted to ride them when he was younger. As usual, the novelty of the experience soon wore off now that he rode them almost everyday.

As the three males approached the door and Dominic stepped forward to open it, Lucas raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Thank you," he said, passing through the doorway and into the slightly darker restaurant.
Verici's was a classic italian place and its decor fit the culture. Music played softly in the background. Lucas stepped forward and exchanged a few words with the hostess before the girl extracted three menus from behind the counter and led the trio over to a circular table opposite a large window, displaying a pretty view of a redwood park beyond the restaurant.

Lucas hung his coat over the back of his chair before pulling it out and seating himself in it. "I love this place," he murmured, opening his menu.

(Power Tower at Cedar Point. <3333 Dominic would have a heartattack.)

Mirroring Lucas's movements, Domnic removed his own jacket, as well. Now in just a black tank top, the air-conditioned restraunt felt refreshing opposed to the more heated weather outside. He pulled an extra chair from an empty table near them and placed his baggaged laptop within it. He preferred to not have it unsecurely in the floor.

"Oh, so you're an Italian kind of guy, are you? Or do you just come for the accented beauties?" he questioned teasingly, taking his own seat. Picking up his menu, his keen eyes scanned through the options quickly. He already had an idea of what he wanted.

When a handsome, dark-haired waiter came to the table, he smiled at the three men, causing Dominic to avert his eyes to the floor. The fact that he also had a thick Italian accent almost caused him to blush for some reason. Almost.

"I'll have an unsweetened iced-tea," he said curtly for his drink order.
