My favorite character is Harry. I heart the whole series, but sometimes it gets annoying when J.K. Rowling gets into so much detail for teeny little things, but she's a GREAT author! mrgreen MUST READ BOOK 7. eek

I love Harry Potter. Rowling does such a good job with her characters and the setting. That's what I look for in books: good characterization. Even if a book has a great plot, I mostly read books for the characters. My favorite ones is Harry Potter are Luna, Tonks, and Lupin. My favorite bad guys are Bellatrix and Voldemort. =)

How many books do you think may come out? Seven. No more, no less.
Who are your favorite characters? Snape and Draco.
Who are your least favorite characters? I always found Cho annoying.
Who is going to be the next Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher? I haven't a clue.
What were your favorite moments? That's hard to say. There are many good moments in the books.
What are your thoughts on the Horcruxes? They are going to be objects that Harry would least suspect.
Where are the horcruxes located? Only Voldemort knows.
When are the Books coming out? Whenever JKR finishes it.
Why did Dumbledore and Sirius have to die?!? I think there's going to be a reason or higher purpose for why they died. Kind of like why Gandalf had to fall into shadow in the Lord of the Rings, if you will.

Kukushka I had to read the third one for class last summer. In the one I read, the plot came to a stand still. So what did the author do? She introduced a completly new character who has nothing to do with the story to reveal the next part and then dissapear. If that's not an awful plot device, I don't know what is.
Can you be specific? I've been reviewing the book in my mind and I don't recognize the scene or character you're describing.

1. We should no that J.K. is only releasing seven books, though I would not be surprise if she had to turn it to eight because of what happened in book six.
2. Favorite characters are Hermoine and Lupin. Have to hand it to the smarties.
3. Least favorite, well not really least, but the most I love to hate would be Draco. Such an arrogant p***k, yet I love how J.K. does it.
4. Next DADA teacher, hmmm, good question. Lupin again? Probably not though...
5. Favorite moments: When Harry kissed Ginny. Aw, what young love heart Though I don't know why Ron is lagging with kissing Hermoine....
6. Horcruxes, well I know one thing, Harry will have to collect them and use them against Voldemort. Though I am curious about who took the last one....I have my theories, though I don't think it's late enough for me to talk about.
7. Horcruxes are located....I won't be surprised if either Voldemort has them or Dumbledore has them himself.
8. Hopefully book seven will be released next year, if not the year after.
9. Why did those two have to die? Just like in manga, there are necessary deaths that have to happen for the protangonist to move on and level up. Protangonists must have something to fuel them, and with those two deaths, Harry is at full tank. smile

1. Judging from the overall anxiety of the entire world of the last installment of the Harry Potter epidemic I'd have to say there would be seven, meaning one more to go, meaning an overwhelming increase in post-7th year fan fiction as well as what'if fictions.
2. My favourite characters, Dumbledore first, Sirius second, Tonks 3rd. That's right, I'm not a fan of any of the main characters, especially Ron, gosh darn I wish him unimaginable pain and anguish... give him a real reason to bicker and whine, just my opinion.
3. My least favourite character is probably... nah, I'll do three like above. 3rd least favourite is, you guessed it, Ronald W. Granted, he's a wonderful foil for Harry and especially Hermiony, I just... hate him so much. Second place is won over by... Actually I think I'm tied by Fudge and Hagrid, Fugde is a crucially useless character who does nothing but sardonically impede the storyline and Hagrid is also quite a literal failure in the world and does literally nothing during the books yet he is seen as this enormous psychological crutch by all three main characters. Aha! I remember now, that raving @$#%! what's her face... damn it, she's the evil toad woman in the fifth book I believe, completely ruins the entire story and whenever her name is brought up I felt like hitting something. Oh wel...
4. Next DADA prof, couldn't say, second book JK brought in an unknown, 3rd book she brought in another completely unknown character, book four we were actually sort of introduced to the character before he sat down, 5th book we see that Umbridge... woman, I just looked her up, she scored #1 on the above list. I don't think we see her anywhere in previous books but I'm getting a nagging feeling while harry was having flashes or kept sticking his head into the pensieve he saw her, though that might have been in the same book, I'm a bit fuzzy, my nose has been in too many history texts lately. The sixth book we see Snape as the DADa prof and some new guy as potions master. We all know how that worked out... anyway, I can't see how there is going to be any rhyme to how she will pick the next DADA prof, with luck we will see one of the Order come in to replace Snape, that worked out quite well until we found out who was making the poly juice... I would personally like to see Lupin come back, or the black guy from the Order who works in the ministry, god knows his name, I think he'd be cool. Sadly, if we analyse harry's last words as he boards the train home, I almost doubt we will see hogwarts in the 7th book aside from a passing mention.
5. My absolute favourite moment was in the 3rd book when Harry, Nevile and the staff all sat down to christmass dinner. Dumbledore gets Snape to pull a popper with him and out comes the hat that Nevile's gram wears, which evidently Snape too wore during a certian DADA session. I cried I laughed so hard. My favourite emotional part was the end of the 6th book when you know who killed you know who. I cried, I felt so bad I just wanted to go to sleep, like there would be no tomorrow. I read that part when I want to feel sad, yeah I'm weird, I'm usually either happy or mad about something, very rarely sad, it's nice to cry every once and a while.
6. Thoughts on the horcruxes... Ingenius I think, brilliant I say! I wish I could do some myself, I hardly have a soul to split but hey, here's to immortality! I think they're a great way to solidify Voldey's evilness, I dunno why but it almost felt like he was turning good there for a moment, more or less I think JK felt like readers might be able to relate to him more, so she needed to make him a bit more devious, and the horcruxes achieved that in my opinion.
7. Where indeedy. Since the first horcrux was located at the site of one of Tom's old childhood once off hangouts, I believe because he thinks he is so good in hiding his past that the rest of the cruxes will be located in other various spots he once visited. I even have a theory that one is located back at the orphinage in London or wherever he was. It makes sense, but knowing tom it's probably the most terribly gaurded one of them all since he spent most of his brooding time there before he relocated to Hogwarts. I wouldn't doubt that his journal was one either, unless it's been agreed upon or not that it already is, Im not that inot the HP community gossip and discussion so that might be old news to some people here. That would mean there are 2 less cruxes out there but anyways.. I think Draco's dad has one or maybe two locked away somewhere, but ultimately I think that old Voldy has hidden them away in his past and are probably more deviously boobytrapped than the one in the 6th book, Good luck Mr. Potter...
8. When, I dunno, who cares, it's going to come out or believe me JK's head will roll.
9. I can't say, I do think he's dead, even though everyone I know argues against it. All the right things happened to say that the hex hit him and he died. I don't he's needed in future book(s) anyway, he in a sense outlived his purpose and died at the right time, not how anyone wanted him too, but still. I think it's going to come down to Harry and Voldy, and he who must not be spoilered, in JK's mind I think, shouldn't be there to help or aid him in any way. Not to mention it plays heavily inot the prophecy, if he did help harry, it would be an unfair advantage, that's right I said it, UNFAIR. In my perfect world, both HArry and Voldy will end up killing each other in the 7th book, because the way I see it, if HArry dies, he's pretty much the damn withholding all that evil from spilling out into the magical world and if he goes then the world goes. If Voldy dies the world becomes right again, all deatheaters and more likely than not, supposed and old deatheaters will be hunted down and killed to prevent any sort of recurrence. Harry's life will then go on in a boring stupor, since really, what is Harry without conflict? Uh oh, Harry can't find his tie, oh no, the flying car won't start, HArry goes to get marital therapy because he can't keep his hands off Cho but is married to Ginny. It would, well, will, be absolutely boring if either ego were allowed to live. If both die, the prophecy will be proven wrong, which for some reason people like, ALSO, we can thoroughly forget about the story because it's two driving forces will be dead and gone and interest will numb itself into nothing. But that's just my thinking, I do alot of thinking so I therefore write alot...
Well, guess I should get back to my Ancient Asian history paper... grumble grumble...
