Akimoto slammed the door, resting both hands against the back of it as she laughed her way down the hall. His head was really feeling better now. Obviously the conbination of the meds, and Elizabeth's care had helped him a great deal to this point.
A thought flashed as he stretched his arms against the door. 's**t! I left her in the bathroom. I hope she's not upset.'
Akimoto darted to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Liz-chan, are you alright in there? You can come out now, I got rid of that b***h. No one should bother us again."

Startled out of her thoughts, Elizabeth jumped slightly when Akimo knocked.
"Yes, I'm fine. I'm coming out now." Carefully Elizabeth stood up, and walked around the glass to the door. Opening it, she walked out into the main room, just enough so that she could shut the door. After she shut the door, she leaned on it, her hands between her body and the door.
"You really think we won't be bothered? Is there something we need to talk about?"

"Yes there is Liz-chan, us. What do you exactly want to be? I won't go any farther than you allow me. I just want to know how you really feel, because I don't want some imaginary love thing here. I don't want us to end up like...well...me and Onimu there. I'd rather if you didn't really want any of this, you tell me now."
Akimoto leaned against the wall near the bathroom door, just out of arms length from the girl.
"And before you reply, address me as Akimo. I'd like to hear you call me that Liz-chan."
He smiled at Elizabeth and scratched his head.

"What do I want us to be? Right now, I really do like you, and I want us to see if there is anything more than kindness between us. I'm not sure what I feel, but I do know that it's a good feeling, and I want to feel this a lot in the future. I do want this, I really do."
As Elizabeth talked she changed position. She started out leaning against the door, and when she finished she was standing in front of the window, looking outside. Her cheeks were rosy with a blush and and her arms were crossed over her chest, so she could hold herself in comfort.
"Akimo....I really think I want to be with you. I at least want to see what could become of us, if anything. I don't want to leave, even for class today. I want to stay here and get to know you, to see if there is anything between us."
Turning back to face Akimo, she glanced at his face to judge his reaction. Unable to read his features, she half turned away, looking out the window again. Her shoulders hunched in worry, and a few lines creased her forehead as she waited.

Akimoto unglued himself from the wall and walked up behind Elizabeth. The sun was shining through her hair and giving an angelic glow across her skin. He wrapped his arms around the girl, crossing his arms across hers, his hands resting on the back of hers.
"I don't want you to go either. It seems like forever since I've felt like this for anyone. Something just always seemed to be...missing."
He pulled the girls back tightly to his chest. He didn't want to let her leave, but he knew the rules as well as anyone else. If she stayed, shocking was the appropriate response. Could he really subject her to that again. He already felt bad enough for causing her present injuries.
"However, you must go to class. You know the rules well enough to understand the penalty for skipping class. Meet me again here at 5:00 PM. Classes should be over, and it's still early enough for you not to break curfew."

As Elizabeth was hugged from behind, she jumped and tensed slightly, but relaxed quickly. She leaned back against him as he hugged her, not wanting to pull away.
"I know I have to go to class, but I don't want to. I'll be here as soon as I get out of my last class."
She turned around and almost snuggled against his chest. At the very least, she rubbed her cheek on his chest, smiling. She let out a small sigh and reluctantly pulled away. Walking over to her books, she bent down, her skirt almost proving to be too short, and picked up her books. Walking over to the door, she put her hand on the knob. Turning back, Elizabeth gives Akimo a smile and blush and walks out to go to class.

Akimoto could only stand still as Elizabeth turned in his arms and pulled away. He wanted to chase her down, grab her and kiss her. But he just stood there, watching Elizabeth gather her books and begin exiting the door.
"I'll be waiting for you Liz-chan"
As the door closed Akimoto sat back on the bed and picked the ice pack up off the floor. Placing it against his eye once more, he hoped he could take the swelling in his eye down before she returned.

Elizabeth knocked his door and opened it. "Akimo, I made a mistake. I was supposed to have health class but, obviously I don't. So now, I don't have class until 2 pm." Looking at Akimo, Elizabeth smiled.
"I'm sorry I walked in without waiting for you to answer, but I just wanted to see you again." Shutting the door behind her, Elizabeth held her books in front of her and leaned against the door. She looked down at the floor, blushing.
"We.....we could start our talk now, if you want. If you don't, I can leave." Elizabeth didn't look up at Akimo, afraid of his reaction.

There was a knock at the door and suddenly it openedand a figure came in and leaned against it. The voice was Liz-chan...'. Akimoto raised his head to see the girl standing there smiling. Ironic, she comes along on seemingly the worst day of his life, and beacame his beacon of light.
"Liz-chan, you've returned? But your teacher is going to...Health? Really? You're not lying to me are you?"
Akimoto rose from the bed and placed the ice pack on the nightstand. He walked over to Elizabeth and put out his hand. "Let me see your schedule." He read the piece of paper and chuckled at the schedule. She really was scheduled for the twelve o'clock health class. He held the paper in one hand and lifted Elizabeth's chin.
"Well, if you'd really like to stay and talk Liz-chan..." Akimoto leaned into Elizabeth and kissed her lips softly. "...you are more than welcome to stay. And stop hiding your face from me, it's prettier than the top of your head."
He released the girls chin and took the books from her hands. He placed them on the table and took a seat on his bed.

Elizabeth handed Akimo her schedule. "Why do you think I would lie to you?"
She raised her head as Akimo lifted her chin, gasping softly as he kissed her, kissing back slightly. "I'm sorry for always looking down, it's just that I'm still a little bit nervous around you. You did shock me earlier. But don't think I'm holding that against you." A thread of worry crept into her voice. "I just have to learn to trust you again."
Letting go of her books, she followed a few steps behind Akimo as he walked to the bed and sat down. Before she sat, she picked up the ice pack and handed it to him, turned, and grabbed the washcloth, heading into the bathroom. This time, she hung up the washcloth and got a clean one, running it under warm water and wringing it out. Going back to the main room, Elizabeth sat on the bed, holding the washcloth.
"How are you feeling? Do you need to lie down? What do you think we should talk about?"

"I'm fine Liz-chan." Akimoto reached out and took the cloth from her hand. He paused as his hands touched hers, he loved the way her skin felt under his palm. "You don't need to worry about me hurting you anymore. That will never happen again."
He smiled at her as he brought the cloth to his forehead and sat it on top of the ice pack.
"We can talk about anything you like. Don't be so shy around me, where are you from, how did you end up here exactly? Give me something, we've got a few hours and need to start somewhere."

As Akimo's hand touched hers, Elizabeth smiled and relaxed. "I trust you won't hurt me anymore. Are you sure you're okay? You should really lie down. Where am I from? Well, my parents adopted me when I was very young. They weren't around a lot, I was mostly raised by our housekeeper, Nissi. I'm here because my parents didn't like my friends, not that they knew them. Oh, I was also caught stealing."
As she talked, Elizabeth relaxed even more. She reached out and rested her hand on his, surprised at the amount of warmth his hand held, and how strong it was compared to hers.

Akimoto stared at the girls hand on top of his. They were so small and beautiful compared to his. His were nearly hardened by the callouses associated with years of athletics.
"Well, your past offenses have no bearing here. I would rather look to the future and what it may become."
Akimoto shifted on the bed a bit and put an arm around Elizabeths waist. He looked at her face and saw her tension ease. He wasn't sure how this had all happen, but he was enjoying it. Akimoto smiled and gave a chuckle.
"You know, this is the first time in a long time that I've smiled, and it didn't involve hurting anyone. I'm glad you came here Liz-chan. I was in a very dark place for a while before you knocked on my door. Thanks to your light I can see a bit of a path now. Arigatoo Liz-kun."
Akimoto bowed his head in respect for the girl who seemingly began to change the brute.

Elizabeth smiled, blushed and nodded in response to what Akimo said. When he talked about smiling, she looked up and watched his face, surprise in her eyes.
"I didn't realize I affected you in such a way. I'm glad I could help you." Elizabeth reached out a hand and gently rubbed the backs of her fingers against Akimo's cheek. Gently she took his face in her hands and pulled his face down to hers, kissing his lips softly. Breaking the kiss, Elizabeth looked up into Akimo's eyes, her face flushed. "Akimo...I'm not sure I got enough food at breakfast...And I don't think that shocking helped, and I think I'm gonna -----"
Abruptly, in mid sentance, Elizabeth's eyes fluttered and her body went limp, falling against Akimo.

Elizabeth slumped against Akimoto as she passed out. He threw his arms around her and held her close. He lightly slapped the girls face a few times to wake her.
"Liz-chan...Liz-chan...wake up please...Liz-chan...LIZ-CHAN!!!"
Not even his screaming could wake her, she was out cold, leaving Akimoto with few options. Gently he laid her head on the pillow, he rose to his feet and lifted her legs onto the bed. Akimoto grabbed the washcloth and ran into the bathroom. He ran the water cold, hoping the shock would wake her. He ran back to the bed, the cloth was dripping with cold water.
"Liz-chan, it's Akimo, please wake up." He folded the cloth and placed it on her forehead. "Liz-chan, please wake up. I'll get you something to eat as soon as you wake up, I swear."
