This looks like a job for... SuperDoctor!
(well, he sort of looks like Clark Kent, doesn't he?)

The host is actually the guy the werewolf is in, it said so in confidential. (Yeah, I watch that.) If you mean sir Robert, well then he did buy them time, but Captain Reynolds sacrificd himself to buy them time and he held the werewolf off, but in the time they spent chatting about it and the time Rose stood just stupidly staring, they could have all got into the room and barricaded the doors. So yeah Rose is a stupid cow... but I just think that anyway rolleyes

The sad thing about Captain Reynolds' sacrifice is that, had he just run into the room like everybody else, he'd have lived. Still, it's the thought that counts, I guess. Love that shot he took at Robert right before he croaked: "You, sir, are a traitor!"

Well, isn't that just a kick in the unmentionables! gonk

Rose was surprisingly useless for once... her only real contribution being to get the prisoners to yank that chain out of the wall. The rest of the time she just spent trying to make the Queen unamused in the most inappropriate situations... neutral

Like I said, Rose sucks a**. But Sir Robert's crime wasn't that great, It wasn't like he had much choice anyway, I mean you wouldn't just expect the man to let his wife be eaten. And he redeemed himself in the end, he just couldn't live with what he did, the man loved his wife though, not something you see often on TV. It's one of my favourites so far though, up there with the parting of the ways, and almost as much as a choker.

Well, it was good. But not as brilliant as Parting of Ways by a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong shot.

Rose kinda took a back seat during this episode and while it was certainly scarier than many recent episodes it ai no way near as creepy as 'The Empty Child'. Sure the Werewolf looked the business, but it just didn't seem that scary.

Good, but not great.

The guy who played Sir Robert was gave the best performance out of everyone in Tooth and Claw, I thought. I was actually rather sad to see Robert die...

It's probably because there was too much of the werewolf running around chasing everyone. It probably would have been more effective had the wolf been used to strike suddenly and without warning from the shadows. I felt the best death was when he yanked that guy up into the rafters. Too bad it was spoiled in many of the previews for the episode.

I did think that scene with the Doctor listening to the wall with the wolf on the opposite side was quite beautiful, though.

It was cleverly done was the whole 'listening' thing.

But I'd worked out the truth about the telescope right from when the Doctor said 'too much magnification.'

Torchwood hehehe....

When does that start anyway?

I love the chemisty between the doctor and Rose, just to add the other pov to the whole thing. Micky next week though is going to make it interesting, as well as Sarah Jane.

And doctor and glasses! god that picture hairy stuck up made me want to melt.

I love the werewolf, it was really well done, and the doctor looking at it and saying 'that's beautiful' made me think yea I'd say the same thing. And the part were the human-form-wolf says to Rose, 'you have something of the wolf inside you' (or something to that affect) was well done too I think.

Hahaha, yup I made that one my desktop the second I saw it on the site. whee heart

Oooh and to add in with everyone, the whole Doctor on one side of the wall and the wolf on the other was very nicely done. <3

Sooooo question open to everyone: I want to discuss some speculations I have, some that include spoilers some that don't. Should we maybe start a spec thread where we just discuss things we think that might happen in the rest of the series and then we can make it either an open spoiler zone or make spoilers have to be in white text? Thoughts?

This is a good point. I was tempted to post some speculations I had about future developments, based on stuff from Tooth & Claw. I like your idea of a thread devoted specifically to speculation, and inviso-texting concrete spoilers with white lettering.

Yeah, good idea! I take it you're volunteering to start the speculation thread, right? You can call it: "Future Speculation Thread (potential spoilers)", or something along those lines. Just so long as people know they could be getting spoiled!

Why was he hitting the TARDIS with a hammer? I mean, I know the song was Ian Drew and the blockheads but don't you think that's taking it just a little far?

And:

Rose: You're a punk aren't you? That's what you are, a punk with a bit of rockaby thrown in.

Me: I hate chavs stare

Um yeah but he's not laughing then. He's harming his TARDIS for fun eek

And I meant ROSE is a chav. Cassandra was right. In fact, for the previews, when she said 'I'm a chav!' and we thought it was Rose, me and my sister were like 'Well spotted.' and 'we already knew that.'
PostPosted: Mon Apr 24, 2006 12:18 pm

Aww, there's nothing wrong with chavs, I'm sure they can be perfectly nice people.

*hops off her soapbox*

xO Well, what I mean is, look at Rose; she's a nice chav. I don't mind her anyway, she's a fun and interesting charcter. There are some girls I know who are chavvy, but get to know them and they're not bad...

As for hitting the Tardis, I'm sure it can't halm it. I mean, they had to use a TRUCK to get that panelling off. Maybe it's the equivalent of a light tickle.

We had a teacher who used to kick the TV at school all the time to get it working xD...

I never put her down as a chav. She has too nice a collection of scarves! biggrin

Up here in Scottieland we call 'em Neds anyway. And they really ARE horrible...

I did think Rose's attempts to get the Queen to say we are not amused were really, really inappropriate at the end... And the Doctor seemed to encourage her! The idea of the bet was funny but really, after so many deaths... Sheesh. Anyway, the Queen said it wrong in the end.

As far as the werewolf goes - I LOVED it. I hate CGI monsters, however they got it just right not using it too much (and I think they used a puppet head at one point cos it was REALLY good...). But better than the actual werewolf, I thought, was the guy just before he turned into a werewolf. Creepiest voice in the world. So cool.
