Cheveyo, despite being nervous, couldn't help but give a small laugh at that. It was probably true, though. "Eh...it's gonna sound kinda weird now that I think about it," he said, unintentionally stalling. "It's about my parents..."

She froze for a moment, No... please don't talk about that.... please.... please.... She was chanting in her mind, knowing full well that she should have told him.... should have said something about her heritage. But, she would lose him. It didn't register that he wanted to talk about his background and not hers, atleast not right away. It took her several moments to stop to breath, then she looked at him. "Oh?" Mars couldn't even voice words.

"Well...I guess I should just cut to the quick, eh? Uh...I'm...half centaur." Cheveyo shifted, expecting her to start yelling at him, calling him an abomination, or a disgrace, like they did before he ran away.

Marcella stood still, looking more then a little shocked. "Um sorry, will you repeat that, please?" No, he couldn't have....

"I'm...half centaur..." Ugh, he couldn't tell if this was going well or not. It was frustrating! He didn't want Mars to hate him, but he had to tell her the truth.

"Oh umm. Okay then," Mars didn't know what to say! She was afraid to tell him about her father but, well he had told her his secret. "Why did you tell me this?" She asked while trying to keep her face blank.

"Well...I wanted you to know, and...I was told that I should," Cheveyo scuffed his front hoof awkwardly, "If you don't want anything to do with me now, I'll understand."

"Told to tell me? By who? And why was it any of their busniess?" Mars was getting worried, why would someone tell him what to do, and why would he talk to someone about it? And what if they told her what to do... Well that question was easy, they'd taste steel.
But there was one problem she had to fix quickly, "No, Cheveyo, I want a lot to with you. I am your mate, no? Okay, so we haven't gotten there yet, but I want you." She hated sounding like an idiot, like some moon-eyed doe, but, even she would admit to this, for him.

"Kithria told me too..." Cheveyo said awkwardly, then fell silent. Well, until Mars spoke up again, "You want me? Even after knowing...that?" Nothing she could say would make her look like a moon-eyed doe to him. She was too strong for that.

The poor taur had to do some quick thinking, something she didn't like to do. "Cheveyo, I can't hate you for something that I'm also guilty of. That would just be stupid." She looked straight at him, letting him know she wasn't afriad of what he would think. But it took her a moment to register that the name he said could be... female. "Just who is Kithria?"

So the wild haired doe was his sweetheart after all! She laughed, time worked in strange ways. Part of her was glad she could bear witness to it.
She had her concerns, but overall it seemed that both the stag and the doe were content. So, she sang a soft melody and waited patiently for the two to enter her cove.

"Wh-....you're parents were different races too?" Cheveyo looked rather surprised, though, deep down he didn't really feel it. He was happy though. He blinked, "Kithria. She's a ghost...I think."

Mars scoffed, at both the idea of this Kithria being a gost and at his surprised, really, he should have noticed. "Ask yourself if my coat looks like a cervitaur coat or a centaur coat. And yes, though there are several taurs running around with blue hair and such, there are many more with more normal colors, like yours." Oi, he could be dense sometimes.

Cheveyo flicked an ear, "I never really took the time to wonder about your coat. And with all the coats on other taurs, besides blue hair, it really didn't surprise me that much," he shrugged, "Guess I shoulda noticed though?"

"Well... several other creatures have noticed..." She really didn't want to go into that issue too much, but there was a question on her mind, "Why is it important to talk about this, Cheveyo?"
