Nobody likes D'arka (forgot how to spell his name)? He will always be my favorite in that show. Him and Mu La Flagga for being so damn cool.
As for Cagalli, I think they match up better character wise with Athrun than when he was with Lacus. I think if he stayed with Lacus, There would be nothing worth watching, with the exception of Flay Alister (I like her character okay. I thought she was cool and very human).

I think that it is a key component to make that connection that they are human. Sure she was a b***h but deep down she was just a person struggling and it was her way to deal with what fate threw her.
As for Mu, he was the person who was on the front of battle yet his character seemed more of a side than a main. It was sad seeing him die so tragically but he was great while he was there.

I wish he hadn't died but if he stayed alive, it would take away from the Gundam series' drama which makes it such a classic. But still.... At least he went out in a blaze of glory.
